Jannik is the most talented and especially the most intelligent player of this new generation. He will use his complete potential and will hopefully be the No. 1 for many years. Great guy and fantastic ambassador!
Sinner is getting better and better, from his serves, plays at the net and so on. I think in one or two years he is a very complete Player and can beat Djokovics Slam Titles. When you see the difference from Sinners ao title to his uso title, he showed no nervousity in the uso. And when you also know what he was going thru outside the pitch, then it is very impressive how much title he won this year and even work on his play on net and so on.
Bartoli saying 26 or 27 for Djokovic - no, I don’t think so. One more, maximum. I agree with Henman’s point that Sampras’ record at the time was incredible, and most of who we considered the greats up to then were in the 8 to 12 slam category - that’s the norm rather than the 20-plus that the big three had. So I think we will go back to a norm of 10-14 slams for the very best players. Even in the women’s game, I see Sabalenka and Swiatek going into double figures but not getting close to Serena Williams or Steffi Graf.
I am not a fan of Djokovic at all. But I have a lot of respect for his achievements. I agree with Bartoli. Novak can win a few more GS if he is physically in form at a GS tournament. He has no real sustained physical limitations. Look at the Olympics - he has unbelievable mental strength and a narcissistic self belief that he can do anything.
@@-jfo- Me too, I admire the achievements without particularly being a fan. I think the Australian Open is his best chance of getting another slam, and if he can summon that Olympic determination one last time then I could see it happening.
Let's put these arguments away for the moment and be happy that we, tennis fans, have a new generation of talented young players, both men and women, to entertain us in years to come. I started watching tennis matches seriously years ago, from this first big win by young Federer. Then there was a fiery Nadal. After these two giants retired ( Nadal will retire this year, I'm aftraid), I lost my appetite for a while. However, Alcaraz, Sinner, Fritz, Zverev...filled this void admirably. There are also players of a slightly older generation, Dimitrov, who play better than a decade ago. I'm looking forward to watching as many incoming tournaments as it is possible. Let's celebrate, everyone.
Sinner will have an even better year next year. His ground strokes are the best and will only get better. Alcaraz is struggling with consistency and bad shot selection. Sinner’s composure is also way off the chart.
If he doesn't have any physical problems, Jannik will win the grand slam next year. Alcaraz sometimes has a higher level than Jannik but he is too inconsistent
Don't forget Carlos is only just 21 - and already has FOUR..... (on each of the main surfaces). I think Henman is not recognising that. A fit Carlos only has to win one GS per years til he's 35 - which the Big 3 did fairly comfortably - to end up with 18. At the moment he's winning one every 6 months since USO 2022 even with Novak still around....
Most players struggle to compete at the highest level by the time they're 30-32, health becomes a factor. The big 3 were lucky. Fed and Djokovic were healthy for a ridiculous portion of their careers. And Nadal coming back from injuries and continuing to massacre everybody on clay year after year is straight up otherworldy, nobody could expect Alcaraz or Sinner to match that
They'll (Sinner and Alcaraz) will be lucky to get to low double digits Slam wins. There is another slightly younger crop of players who will be able to compete with them directly in a few years. Couple of French players, a Canadian player. Draper out of the UK will get to the top 10. Unfortunately I think Sinner, Alcaraz and future players will also be prone to more injuries. To consistently win in today's Slams you must have no weaknesses. Play consistently at 90-100% effort and hope your body can withstand the tremendous power, finesse and speed required. 2 hand backhand is a must! And height, free points are critical to win over 2 week tournaments. 6'6 -6'8" with all the skills will be the next Fed,Nadal or Novack.
6'8"??Wtf😂😂??Unless everyone builds jacked legs/an athletic physique😂.Your movement would affect you at that height. What did Fritz do despite being a giant??Couple of guys to watch out for imo would be Shang Juncheng from China, and Jakub Mensik from Czechia. These guys could potentially win slams.Bold prediction:16 yr old Manas Dhamne from India will be a top 10 player in a couple of years.
The big question with Alcaraz and Sinner is, who else is going to come out in 2, 5, or even 10 years. The coast seems clear at the moment - but I remember how post-Medvedev beating Djokovic in 2021 "everyone" thought he'd share the domination with Djokovic on hard court for 5-10+ years, as he was the only one close to the big 3s level in the game. Just a year later, we had Alcaraz. One of the things we are not talking enough about re: Nadal and Djokovic, is that a part of their success (not to undermine them in any way) was the lack of competition from the two "Next Gens" that followed them. Federer got the other big 3 suddenly chasing, plus Murray and Wawrinka. Only two people born in the 90s got any slams (2 slams combined), and players born in the 00s - Sinner and Alcaraz now have more (6 together). That's a huge jump. Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic could be beaten. You still had Murray, Wawrinka, del Porto, and Cilic - all of them in the Djokovic/Nadal "gen" winning slams in the midst of the era of Big 3 domination - but these challengers were not 5-10 years younger (except to Federer). Imagine Murray, Wawrinka, del Porto and Cilic coming in as teenagers in the 2010s, or imagine Djokovic or Nadal being 5-10 years younger than the other - the stats would likely look different. That post-big 3 gen lull could easily not have happened - it can also happen again. We can see Sinner and Alcaraz mainly facing each other, maybe being joined by 1-3 bigger names for the next 10-15 years, or we can see them land closer to McEnroe and Wilander.
If they had serve time clock then Nadal and jokovich would not have won that many.😃😄😅 Nadal digging his ass then smelling his fingers and jokovich bouncing the ball 22 times then stops because a fan shouted something then starts his 22 bounces again.😁😂😃
@@mohanlalrampersad490 I am a Sinner fan but Alcaraz deserves the credit. He is younger than Sinner, has double the slams and is dominant on multiple surfaces. Jannik is however the hard court master
Alcaraz has more potential and it takes practice and mentality to release that potential. But Sinner looks like may have more longevity, if both are peak form, Alcaraz will win more than 2 over Sinner. If Alcaraz doesn't always run at peak form, I believe Sinner will win more than Alcaraz by 2 GS
Sinner will win the French Open very soon, like next year! Carlos is great but Sinners has a steel mind that is much stronger than any of the other players besides the Joker as far as I’m concerned
Novak 26/27? It's a joke? He was a great champion and, in terms of titles won, the greatest, but I don't think he has any chance of winning other slams. And then, I think he doesn't even care. His last goal was the Olympic gold medal and he won it.
The point here is who will jump in the conversation in the next 5 to 10 years…we don’t know if some guys now 9-12 years old will be a new big deal in the future….lets say we now know who is playing futures/challengers at 16/18 years old and no one seems close to their level….so we can assume they will both have between 5 and 10 Slams by lets say 2027/2028, then no one can predict if they will step up to Bjorg/Emerson/Sampras and even to the big 3
My answer: Probably more than two. I really don’t see the point of speculations like this. Five years ago everyone thought Medvedev, Zverev and Tsitsipas were the future of tennis and would win all the majors. So just let it play out and enjoy watching.
It is a great time for passing the torch. Carlos and Jannik are great ambassadors for the future of Tennis. Jannik menthol fitness is great, very mature, his physical area is a concern to work with. Carlos is younger, his potential is greater, more space to develop: is a more rounded player. Carlos is breaking record after record, youngest to be ATP year-end #1, youngest to win GS in all surfaces, youngest to win Channel Slam, with 4 GS and an Olympic medal, he only needs to win the AO- he will become the youngest active in achieving the Silver Career GS. If both are healthy and continue their pace, Carlos should surpass Novak and become the GOAT of his era.
What is barrattoli smoking lol saying Djokovic will win 2-3 more slams when he won 0 this year at 37 years old and winning slams will only get tougher.
djockovic will only concentrate on majors now. He can play for 2 more years. If sinner and alcaraz have a good healthy tournament then djoker won't win. BUt whenever they slip up, he will be there to pick up the pieces so he can win 1 atleast. More than 2 is a big if. Alcaraz and sinner push throughout the year so its likely they will have a bad major here or there so it's a possibility. Also he'll have to be in top 5 to ensure he only gets great players for semifinal and finals. A run where medvedv/ zverev, in QF, sinner in SF, alcaraz in final will be too tough.
It's not that unlikely, this year he had injuries and his main goal was the Olympics: I don't think he'll ever climb back to the n. 1 but winning a couple of Slams I think is possible
Longevity will be key. Carlos and Jannik will need a minimum of 10 years staying fit to come near the big 3. Possibly even 15 just to be safe. Who apart from Medvedev can threaten them? The advantage Alcaraz and Sinner right now is the absence of a real 3rd threat; it might take 3 to 5 more years to see it. He will be aged 17 to 20 now.
Guessing how many Grand Slam a player can win is just for fun discussion but anything can happen in future, exhibit 1 - Andy Murry, 2 - Stan Wawrinka - they ended up not winning more than 3 Grand Slams in their careers... predicting physical and mental health, future of a player is not so straight forward...
I'm not sure what she is basing novak winning another 3 slams from. He is 38 next year and she is suggesting he will win as many slams as Murray did his entire career. Novak will win one more slam tops. He is in the same terminal decline as federer was at his age and he is at best 1 year behind nadal in terms of decline
AO25 is his best surface, but I see him losing to Alcaraz or Sinner, if Popyrin could beat Novak at U.S. Open, then any top 100 player can now, fakeovic probably has seen the writing on the wall!
Djokovic is definitely getting weaker. He is a monster player but he soon will find himself overwhelmed with the power of the younger players who are just getting stronger and faster. Father time waits for no one. Djokovic will not get to 26. On the other hand, I also do not see sinner getting to 10 grand slam titles. Alcaraz yes. He seems to be physically capable of taking the punishment necessary to get to those numbers. Sinner, when he is physically well, is a stunning athlete. He will burn so brightly and we have to enjoy his incredible current form. But his body cannot keep taking the punishment he is putting it through for the number of years required to reach 10+ slams.
Medvedev will sneak another slam or two. Zverev will probably win one or two as well. Tsitsipas I doubt it, maybe in mixed doubles. Sinner and Alcaraz will likely get to double digits, but not reach 20. Most players bodies just don't hold up long enough for that to be even physically possible, let alone execute on it
@@StefanoMauri-l4w I said Tsitsipas wouldn't Zverev was one set from a slam this year, and he didn't so much as choke there this time as he just got outplayed. And he's still improving. Not a fan, but I think people are underestimating him
Agree. Now that has personal life more in order and gets rested he will be mentally more prepared and has greatly improved his game. He was injured at Wimbledon and that affected him up to US Open. By US Open he was mentally and physically just drained by the quarters.
Please. No one knows for sure. People are crazy to think only Alcaraz and Sinner are the only ones who can win a GS The competition is strong and illness and injuries can happen at any time. Don’t count out Zverev and Medvedev or even Tsitdipas and Ruud along with Draper, Fritz and Rune possibly. Lendl lost 4 GS slam final’s before win his first. Thiem won first GS at 27 after losing 3 previous finals. Kerber won her first GS at 28 and then won 3.
it all depends on the physique and, net of the nonsense of doping for a billionth of a gram of a healing agent, Alcaraz's physique seems to me much more pumped up and at the limit than Sinner's who instead seems to be following a more linear path
The big 3 were not only incredible, they were incredible for a freakishly long period of time. That shouldn't be assumed, most tennis players can't physically compete at a high level past 32, and yet these guys were winning slams at 35-37. We can't just assume Alcaraz and Sinner will physically have that chance.
How many slams Sinner and Alcaraz can win will depend on who they'll be competing against. If the next generation is weaker than the current one, then they can definitely get to double digits and maybe many more. And they have to avoid major injuries of course.
@@StefanoMauri-l4w what do you mean ? 2 of the commentators are Grand Slam winners in singles, Bartoli and Martina are Multiple Grandslam winners... you dont know tennis accept it....
Sinner will win past 20 majors and if you guys think Alcaraz would settle for anything less than Djokovic's slam count , you re deluded In the next 5 year they will both cross 10 slams and only get better.
Or in 8ish years they will experience injury issues out of their control and never reach the same heights again, like most tennis players. We're taking for granted how fortunate Federer and Djokovic were to have largely healthy 20 year careers, you can't pencil that in
The thing is, most players can't stay healthy long enough for that, the big 3s longevity is freakish. Barring injuries is a big if. They could reasonably stay healthy for the next 8-10 years. Any more then that would be very lucky.
I am happy for these 2 new guys Alcaraz and Sinner they are too good, calm and collected... not like the cringe players like Tiafoe or Shelton or Rublev, Nick Nyrigios, Novax etc...
as a Sinner fan i can surely say that if they both manage to stay healty during their career Carlos will end winning more GS . in roland Garros he will be the next Nadal, maybe not winnin 14 of them but ending very close for sure...in Wimbledon i think Sinner can try to steal some trophy but the majority will be in Carlos favour. and on the hard court will be Sinner main thing but I'm sure Alcaraz when in top form and maybe Sinner is not could ending up winning few slams as well , as what happened in indian wells this year . Overall i think Carlos is the best player, great strenght, variations and able to differenciate his game when thing are not going as planned, I see Jannik a bit one dimentional, when he is in top form is almost unstoppable but he can't be always in top level conditions! and i forgot the most important thing...Carlos is 2 years younger with already 4 slams...2 or 3 years ago Sinner was not even close to today's Carlos level!
It's too early to say because Alcaraz might have simply reached maturity earlier than Sinner. We'll need another 3 to 4 years to understand who the best and most likely successful player is.
Alcaraz will win more slams but Sinner will have more weeks as world number 1. I don't think Alcaraz will win RG anywhere near as many times as Nadal though. I don't think Sinner or Alcaraz will win more than 6 times at any one slam. The surface wars will be less lopsided
@@StefanoMauri-l4w they aren't going to be on top for 15 years. The big 3 staying healthy that long is absurd and wont be matched. I mean carlos will definitely take over all the records Hes only 21 and has 4 grand slams Assuming he plays 14 more years, which is 56 grand slams in total, you wouldn't give him 21 out of those 56? Seriously? 😂
Assuming he plays 14 more years a big assumption. Most players physically can't compete at a high level by the time they're 30-33. The big 3 are bizarre in their longevity. A more standard estimate is Carlos has 10 years were he is able to play at a level high enough to win slams
@@tulipbanerjee358 the rise of Carlos and Jannik is influenced by the retirement/semi-retirement of the big 3 It's not like they're better than Rafa and Novak It's just that both have aged

Most players bodies just don't hold up long enough for that to be even physically possible, let alone execute on it
Zverev? Tsitsipas? Are you serious Bro???😂😂😂😂😂
@@StefanoMauri-l4w I said Tsitsipas wouldn't
Zverev was one set from a slam this year, and he didn't so much as choke there this time as he just got outplayed.
More title because he' do syrong mentally and so yalentef.❤❤❤❤He's my favorite ever!❤
Bartoli is smoking crack saying Novak is gonna win 2 or 3 more
it all depends on the physique and, net of the nonsense of doping for a billionth of a gram of a healing agent, Alcaraz's physique seems to me much more pumped up and at the limit than Sinner's who instead seems to be following a more linear path
Both will probably get double digit slams but I’m not sure both will get to 20 slams each
They are so conservate! If the Big 3 won 20 grandslams and more, I am sure the new generation is even better.... more than 20 for sure i can see it!
What a silly conversation
#25 in 2025. It's coming.
"Double digits if they stay healthy, and maybe more..." go Jannik for the 100 💀

In the next 5 year they will both cross 10 slams and only get better.
Or in 8ish years they will experience injury issues out of their control and never reach the same heights again, like most tennis players. We're taking for granted how fortunate Federer and Djokovic were to have largely healthy 20 year careers, you can't pencil that in

Given that Carlos has had a 'patchy year' - to come away with the French and Wimbledon tells us what level he operates at....
i think Draper will join the magic circle very soon. another one to watch will be Flavio Cobolli and Joao Fonseca in few years.
If u beat djoko then u can beat anybody . Same for alcaraz . If they beat djoko a tennis goat then u can beat anybody .
Sinner is Djokovic successor
Alcaraz is federer/nadal successor
Sinner will end up winning more but Alcaraz is the better tennis player all round
Low double digits for both Sinner and Alcaraz, I think. Draper will get a few too.
Djoker mostly will one AO, not more.

Alcaraz and Sinner are good for 20+ Grand Slams barring injuries.
20+ Gran Slams together, not each of them. 12 to 15 each seems to be a reasonable prediction.
Big 3 and Serena are anomalies and not the norm .
Next gen is very good you know
@@VARMOT123maybe it can happen again u never know
The thing is, most players can't stay healthy long enough for that, the big 3s longevity is freakish.
Exactly as much as lobby (who stands behind him) allows him to win.
Alcaraz 15 Sinner 10... and Draper 3...to equal Muzza
Sinner is better than Alcaraz
With Cahill and big pharma…many gs
as a Sinner fan i can surely say that if they both manage to stay healty during their career Carlos will end winning more GS . in roland Garros he will be the next Nadal, maybe not winnin 14 of them but ending very close for sure...in Wimbledon i think Sinner can try to steal some trophy but the majority will be in Carlos favour. and on the hard court will be Sinner main thing but I'm sure Alcaraz when in top form and maybe Sinner is not could ending up winning few slams as well , as what happened in indian wells this year .

Hes only 21 and has 4 grand slams
Assuming he plays 14 more years, which is 56 grand slams in total, you wouldn't give him 21 out of those 56?
Seriously? 😂
Assuming he plays 14 more years a big assumption. Most players physically can't compete at a high level by the time they're 30-33. The big 3 are bizarre in their longevity. A more standard estimate is Carlos has 10 years were he is able to play at a level high enough to win slams
