I visited Rwanda in 2016. I however did not get to see much of the country because I was just in Kigali. Thanks for this video, Ms Ribotta. On a different note, it's a good thing that, notwithstanding the horrific genocide, neither the victims nor the perpetrators seem to be poisoning their children with bitterness and hatred. The Rwandans have acknowledged what happened, nursed the wounds, and decided to build a strong united nation. I tip my hat at all of you, Banyarwanda. With LOVE from South Africa.

Rwanda, Congo and other sub saharan countries are creation of colonial powers. Worst are definitely British and closely followed by French. British completely withdrew from Africa but like a leech France is still lingering forcibly in some countries there. If you read the history of Rwanda and Congo then you will hear the name Tshombe. Genocide what followed at that period of time was much more gruesome than what you are referring of 1994. Lots of mercenaries including sizeable French mercenaries were hired by some vested interests mainly by Belgians and French. The long march of French mercenaries to Lake Bukavu and Stanleyville is a history to read. You will find similar history practically in each and every country of southern and eastern Africa. Nice vlog Ms. Ribotta. I am following you. Please keep up the good work. Africa is still an enigma to me though last time I visited was 1978!
