- 'The Panzer' showcases AP Automotive's Andy and his love for his 35 Year Old Mercedes 190E Daily Driver.
Having sampled many an offering from Japan (mostly Mazda MX5's), Andy moved over to one of Germany's most recognisable brands - Mercedes.
The film also touches on the creation of Compton Coffee Run, a popular Cars & Coffee event throughout 2024 in Shaftesbury, Dorset. Also the creation of Andy and his Wife Alex's new Events Company, AP Automotive.

I reckon that 190E is one of the most visually correct sedans ever made. Still looks incredibly modern even today. And that windscreen wiper is awesome. Why more cars don't do that today baffles me
That single windscreen wiper might look cool but it is a huge disadvantage when it is pouring rain because it can not wipe as fast as normal wipers...
w124 😎
Running a '97 E240, bloody well love that car, so well made, handles so well, and so cushy comfortable, no unnecessary electronics in it at all, repairable by anyone, including myself and super smooth running 6 cylinder, well worth keeping. 80's and 90's benz is still the pinnacle of design and quality i wonder if it will ever be out done
Thank you for telling your Story ❤
Always such a good feeling to run one of these daily. I catch myself babying them too much and only going on drives for fun, but sometimes you just gotta use them like they were intended. :) We carry all kinds of parts for these, so if you ever need anything give us a shout.
What size wheel trims?? Very nice car
My Mum had a 1989 W201 190E white with a blue MBTex interior. My parents sold the car after my brother had an accident in it. I believe my brother survived because of "Der Panzer's" rigidity. I have found the car and I am in touch with the owner and my plan is to buy the car back.
What engine is in your 190E?
I am a classic car enthusiast and I have a W108, a C126 and a W124. I am from Kenya and I am a member of the Mercedes Benz Club of Kenya (MBCK) and in East Africa we have fantastic areas and great roads to dive on. The club organises very good trips but I have not participated. Your plans for drives have inspired me to go on to more drives.
The bog standard 2.0 4 pot with the slush box transmission for now…
Dad's mate had one of these, always admired it ,as a kid.
We learnt so much about the car and what it’s like to drive here 🤔😂
I always say to people it’s like being wafted about on your nans sofa. Closest thing I can describe it to right now 😅
I have 2 190s, but one I have for 23 years, daily driving - never failed me saved a tons of money on repairs etc. Bought 2016 W204, after 2 years left over 5000$ at dealer shops on maintance, sold that shit fast. It didnt even drove and felt good as my 190 with 3.2 m104 engine with getrag, to be completely honest with you. And the other one is v8 m113 5,5 amg with manual shortshift, that cant be even compared to a c63 from the other hand so yea its a lifehack nobody knows about :)
I love you Andy!!!!🎉🎉
Ah, Skuzzle and MX-5Nutz, the good old days.
Just drove my 86 190e 2.3-16 on the highway yesterday. Now I havent really driven it much but now that I have some repairs done, I will, but not as my daily. I crack up at just how short geared it is. At 85-90 the engine is turning at almost 4000 rpm in 5th gear and no its no gas miser. LOL
What a superb tash! 👨
