The honesty and realness in this video is SOO refreshing! Thank you for showing the real side of meal prepping lol because everything does not always turn out perfectly..
Why would that discourage you from taking steps towards bettering your health? Why train yourself to give up? This is what’s wrong, not the fact that it’s actually hard and doesn’t just work instantly. Learn to love the Challenge and you’ll be better for it. Hate this attitude nowadays fr fr.
I came to say this! The first time you will always mess up. I remember the first time I bought way too much food (waisted a lot). Then there were things that I shouldn’t have added that made it soggy and nasty days in lol. I got better
I love you highlighting your imperfections and love your honesty. Today everyone posts everything that looks perfect and makes it sound so easy. I prefer real videos like this that you tell it like it is. We need that nice job.🎉
For the first time? You did so well. Trust me the more you do it the easier it gets. I’ve learned to make like a morning of it. I wake up make a mimosa and start cooking, i prep and put everything away plus clean and everything is so clean during the week! It’s amazing!! When you do it more often it gets easier.
I feel you a 💯 plus those meal preppers that do 5 day worth of meals…. I can only imagine how bad everything tastes on the last day 😖 i am lazy but not lazy enough for a fresh cooked meal 🤷🏻♀️
@@SemekiIzuiono some people legit do a whole week. Honestly even 3 days is questionable, u usually do 2 at a time. Especially because if you think about it on the 1st day its already 24hrs old because if your making lunch/dinner to eat for the monday, youre making it on the sunday. Certain meats like pork or lamb are definitely much worse after the 2 day mark. Beef you can get away with, and chicken can be iffy. I 100% would not recommend it for fish either honestly, especially if you’re microwaving the food, it can taste off by day 3
@@_Hollie_ 3 days is ok but yes it all depends on smell and if it was frozen or not. But thats crazy, I would never eat it past 4-5 gross, its just asking to get food poisoned
the drama is top tier 😂😂 this looks amazing though, I’d sure appreciate just the mere thought that you put into making this week’s meals. You did amazing 👏🏾👏🏾
I love the realness!!! It is SO refreshing to see someone not making it look like it can be done in less than 30 minutes, everything goes perfectly, and you have little forest animals helping you through the process! Those people are putting unrealistic expectations out there, which makes others feels inadequate. We are ALL doing the best we can. Sending love and confidence to everyone reading this. 💜💜💜
Meal prepping helps so much and it’s way healthier than eating out! You got a pretty healthy spread. I view meal prepping as self care and investing in my future health. You got this Queen!
Loveeee the honesty in this video. I like vague videos sometimes just showing the process but most of the time I wanna know the ins and outs of what you’re doing/how etc
I feel like breakfast is the easiest to prepare- chia pudding, overnight oats, homemade waffles to reheat. Things that make the morning go faster when you're sleepy.
tip for everyone: when you’re at the grocery and you are buying mangos the same day or the next make sure the colors are red, orange, or pinkish. and another tip is to squeeze it a bit to make sure it’s soft !!
Try different things. I like to use my crockpot for one meal that I start at bedtime before the big meal prep day so it’s done by the time I wake up. The crockpot is great for any kind of pulled/shredded meet - for tacos, BBQ etc, and stews. Use the oven for one: sheet pan fajitas, chicken and roasted vegetables or baked sweet potatoes and then use the stovetop for another- stir fries, burger bowls, chili, pasta…. Breakfast burritos are good, the sandwiches you made looked great but you can use bacon instead or ground sausage cooked and add it to the eggs before you bake them. You can also do big breakfast scramble with veggies , ground sausage or ham with cauliflower rice or potatoes au gratin, eggs cheese etc. don’t give up 😃
I love how honest and raw this was cause I’ve been tryna get my ish together and it’s refreshing to know that it ain’t all that on the flip side either…
Meal prepping is about making your life easier. You don't have to fully prep the whole finished meal if that's inconvenient for you. Prep a few ingredients, or prep most of the individual portions but leave the last bits unfinished. Like say, add the pickles the moment you'll grab that meal and eat it, but not earlier.
For the sausages, you can split them down the middle if they end up being too big. Also its better to let all of the parts of the sandwich cool down before assembling so the cheese doesn't melt
It gets better! 😂 i also learned how to prep the cold and hot components separately because i too get annoyed havihg to take stuff in and out of containers 😂
Congrats. Do it again! You did well. You saved a lot of prep time. You saved lots of money on fast food. You made healthy food! Yes!!! Please do it again; for yourself. For us.
At least you did it! Likely, you'll get better the next time because you learned. And it doesn't matter how long you were doing it, mistakes happen, it's all good, You did great! Everything looked yummy.💓
I love how you always tribute victims from the heart. You really make me feel like I knew them. A lot of true crime shows always go with the one-liners, “she lit up a room” 😒 thank you for honoring these people and their memory.
Well it looks really good sis!! Honestly listening to your struggles is encouraging to me. When you see everybody doing their thing perfectly and seamlessly you're like okay My stuff is not going like that so it's helpful to see that meal preps dont always go perfectly😅❤
The way I laughed at hearing myself talk in a video I didn't even make. 😂😂😂 You did great, though, sis. I love the ideas. Keep struggling through and being an inspiration. ❤❤
I follow you on TT. Which I don’t get on at all. So to see you here has made my heart happy!! Literally one of my favs! I haven’t been on there in over a yr and I vividly remember you! ❤
The honesty and realness in this video is SOO refreshing! Thank you for showing the real side of meal prepping lol because everything does not always turn out perfectly..
For real because all the other videos we see are not forthcoming with the amount of work that goes into meal prepping and ups and downs of it all.
@@sk_princessSexactly! I have meal prepped and it’s time consuming and a lot of work to cook and work on several different meals at once.
@@simplymonica6888 yup and my thing is I often don’t want to eat the food 😅 I do but I be a little grumpy
idk what yall be doing but my meal prep always goes well and it’s actually calming and therapeutic to do. and i’m saying that as a nigerian

“Would I do it again? Probably not.” Me😂😂😂
Just wanted to record a video, that was nice to me
😂
Seriously same
Hahahaha I approve the honesty 🤣
Girl!!! Preach a word, okayt
The burnt bacon and the pickles are so real. It’s refreshing to see an honest take on meal prepping - thank you for posting!
So true! Although, I think there is nothing better than some burnt bacon! 😂
I said the same thing as you said it lol. The mango wasn’t ripe
Everytime you'll get better! I love your fruit cups, those are cute.

Exactly so❤
Because you're honest and you didn't throw out the bad and burnt food and only show the perfect results.
Girl, I appreciate your honesty.❤
The honesty took me out 😂😂😂😂 Will I prep again, probably not byeeee😂😂😂😂

Day 5 looked the best to me! It was something about the volume and the definition with the refreshed pieces!!

Everything looks really good. Don’t stop you did a great job👍🏾
Tip for breakfast sandwitches, wrap in a paper towel and then foil. You can take the foil off and then heat up in the microwave in the paper towel.
Also parchment paper is excellent for reheating in microwave
I vouch for parchment be the paper towel will get stuck
Yes another vote for parchment paper here.
Great tip❤

The more times you do it you’ll figure out what works and what doesn’t. Don’t give up.!

So relatable 😂 love your realness. I also just can’t do 5 days worth of the same food. It never stays fresh and I just need variety.
