He's not gone, just the anima that belonged to him is. Ardenweald is a land of rebirth, his seed was supposed to grow until Ursoc would be revived again to roam the shadowlands in it. I think the Jailer might still have his consciousness. (Unless the anima was destroyed)
What we know as player characters is that nature spirits often come back to life after a time, that bear, Ursoc, ho has a personal history with the druids, has died a couple times before, but always come back, so him dying for good this time is really moving.
I love the ambiguity of this one. "Your heart is pure. I will honor your choice." Initially I interpreted this as a straight question to Ara'lon. But on subsequent viewings, It seems like she's talking to Ursoc. As Ara'lon looks back at the pod, seemingly awaiting a decision. Moving piece of art, this one.
Basically, Ursoc sacrificed his anima (a sort of spiritual energy used in the Shadowlands both to keep things running as well as a form of currency) to prevent Ardenweald from dying to the anima drought. It's hard to hear/notice without the subtitles on, but when the sylvar is trying to decide what to do, Ursoc growls faintly, and does so again after the anima is drained from his seed. All he wanted to do was serve the wilds, and what better way to go out than ensuring the afterlife that the other wild gods recuperate in will continue to exist?
You saved the best for last! This was my personal favorite and honestly made my choice of what covenant I want to choose clear as day! The zone in game is absolutely beautiful as well!
This one made me bawl my eyes out because I loved Ursoc. I don't even know Emerald Dream lore but in Legion, I leveled a Guardian Druid and their weapon was the "Claws of Ursoc" and I remember having to fight him in the Emerald Nightmare raid. I was REALLY hoping for a revival/redemption for Ursoc and knowing he's really gone made me cry. The finale cinematic for the Ardenweald also made me bawl my eyes out! It was so good! Loved your reactions to all of these!
As others have stated already, the bear was Ursoc. You were right, he was a part of the Legion Val'Sharah storyline, but he's been around since the beginning of the game entire - and was once an integral part of a Druids journey.
Ursoc is that raid boss in Legion. He was corrupted there. When I saw this video for the first time I didn't feel enything, til I try the Druid campaign in Val'sharah when I helped Ursoc to fight against demons. He has a very special place in my heart.
This is the one I was most interested in seeing you watch. It's just a masterwork of emotion, gut wrenching even if you don't know who the bear is but especially so once you do.
Ardenweald a place where the Gods and Demigods that have a nature affinity go in order to be reborn, basically their soul stay in that cocoon for while and then they revive in the real world. Like how Cenarius died back in Warcarft 3 then he revived and was present in Legion. But since Ursoc died in Ardenweald he died for good ... his soul was transformed into anima and used as fuel to keep the forest alive.
I'm a guardian druid, so a bear druid tank. Ursoc has always been such an important character to me. This cinematic hit me hard, especially knowing his brother, Ursol, is alone forever now.
I will admit, I like the overall etherealness of Ardenweald. Kind of wish I could go back and just quest there but there are only so many quests that can be done. Ravendreth is definitely got that vampiric "corrupt aristocrats bleeding the common people dry" vibe going on. Maaldraxus is just one giant battle ground and it can be taxing to find a safe place to park. But yeah, Ardenweald.
Cried my ass off when i first saw this. Poor Ursoc, corrupted by the Nightmare just to die in Shadowlands - Ardenweald after instead of getting his peace.
Love your reaction videos Galaxy. That was quite an emotional bit of story telling. Never would have thought that if you told me ahead of time I would feel like that. Thanks
i know im late to the party here but the souls go to the groves in ardenweald and then they feed them anima, after feeding them enough they are reborn and with souls like ursoc(the bear) he can return back to azaroth to defend it as he is a demi god (there is a bunch of them witch make up the different druids! but if the soul dies in adenweald then its never returns so ursoc is gone forever now as he died in the afterlife!
It’s really sad that in the beginning ursoc said he will return and then they fully killed his soul off. Essentially he got true death.. really sad. But I’m going for night fae
As a Druid and a bear boi myself this was so hard to watch the first time around! Ursoc was best boi he just unfortunately got led astray to many times! :(
Venthyr/Maldraxi all the way... Well my druid is going ardenweald of course but eh... I am having hard time sending any of my char's into Bastion... Paladins and priests would fit there but then again... it is a pretty shitty place...
The tears in the Queen's eyes show how much she didnt want to do what needed to be done...my favorite one yet
This one literally makes me cry every time I watch it. And I say that as someone who has never played WoW.
i feel you i'm druid for + 14 years
Ursoc was a good bear =(
Yeah, Ursoc the Bear was a boss in the Emerald Nightmare raid. Good guy turned by the Nightmare. And now he's gone :'(
Ursoc is a demigod who fought against legion in war of the ancients
NOOOOOO NOT URSOC!!! ;(
F
I was playing druid for +14 years , +12 was bear and crying my ass off after watching this

Well, to save the soul of Ysera I think Ursoc would be more then happy to live on through her
This is a neverending feels train for all us druids. I miss you Ursoc.
My Bear Druid specifically beat the shit out of Denathrius for causing this.

Can you imagine being Ursol and dying expecting to see your twin brother on the other side...and finding out he is gone forever?
Don’t just don’t.....it’s sad enough

🥺
Yeah but....couldn't they have oh I dunno....used say Hakkar or Dambala? You know, fairly evil spirits instead serving up Ursoc?
this afterlivesmade me feel really bad after watching it. Poor Ursoc. He deserved better.
Honestly he was bound to die either towards saving Ardenweald or withering along the rest of the land and its denizens.
The area you're thinking of is Val'Sharah in the Broken Isles, which is indeed Legion content.
Ursoc especially hits hard after druid content in Legion where he helps you out a lot + all his actions throughout the War of Ancients
I miss my bear daddy 😫
You saved the best for last! This was my personal favorite and honestly made my choice of what covenant I want to choose clear as day! The zone in game is absolutely beautiful as well!
Its my favourite zone as well but gotta be honest every zone in shadowlands is stunning.

MY BOY. LOOK HOW MY BOY URSOC SACRIFICED HIMSELF ONE LAST TIME.
By far the most sad of all the 4 covenent vids. Partly cause the destruction of nature is not that foreign to us

As an avid druid player and who is very familiar with the lore...Ursoc got the shaft. Ursoc's loss drove me to tears so hard.

Man im loving these wow reacts, keep it up!
That bear is ursoc a wild God that protects the wilds.
Still surprised they did Ursoc that way.
I know! but honestly I think all Azeroth spirits that have traveled here we've come to love, I think it would of been just as sad if it were Ysera.
@@quintinsmith10 We thought we did in Legion. Was heart wrenching and look! Now Ursoc instead! Real jumble of feels blizzard is throwing at us.
I'm a guardian druid, so a bear druid tank. Ursoc has always been such an important character to me. This cinematic hit me hard, especially knowing his brother, Ursol, is alone forever now.
this one is so full with emotion, my favorite Afterlives :D

Your eyes looked like you could cry in the end
He really did that to my boy Ursoc.
Did you upload Revendreth? I haven't seen it, but you do mention watching it.
Seems it was removed, I don't know why. Let's hope it pops up again soon!
It's all looking like Ori and The Blind Forest , even in style and music. )))
Cried my ass off when i first saw this. Poor Ursoc, corrupted by the Nightmare just to die in Shadowlands - Ardenweald after instead of getting his peace.
Tank druids all over the world had a minute of silence after this
Ardanweald visuals and music are insanely beautiful. Once again, the art and music team carries another expansion.

So sad. RIP Ursoc. Loved that character

This one always get me. Ursoc was an amazing character :'(
My main is druid so yes I am choosing Ardenweald. Take care and stay safe 🙂👍
Personally taking Kyrian since it is BIS for druid
So sad but so good i am a fan of 16 years now of wow so good imo
Ursoc was my favorite through out the lore
poor Ursoc, he just cant catch a break
Blizzard did my boy Ursoc dirty
Ardenwield is where all the nightelves and demigods and all that end up.
It’s really sad that in the beginning ursoc said he will return and then they fully killed his soul off. Essentially he got true death.. really sad. But I’m going for night fae
It was Ursoc. Sad cinematic.
As a Druid and a bear boi myself this was so hard to watch the first time around! Ursoc was best boi he just unfortunately got led astray to many times! :(
Ursoc :C
Poor ursoc meeting final death
what's even sadder, is they kill that character off in the end of ardenweald campaign.
Venthyr/Maldraxi all the way... Well my druid is going ardenweald of course but eh...
I am having hard time sending any of my char's into Bastion... Paladins and priests would fit there but then again... it is a pretty shitty place...
RIP URSOC
oh no , not the beyaaaa
Revendreth ftw
Your thinking satyr half goat half man 😁
Ursoc was a good boy :(
Why say something, when it can be shown? lol
They just killed Ursoc the demigod (the bear) because of one stare from “the Queen”. What a simp 😂
These shi@$% killed Ursoc soul.
...
Wow shadowlands > FFXIV
Raid Shadowlands is gonna suck, classic is much better.
