This woman can sing, which we knew, but she's EXTREMELY spot on live. And the irony of the song too is crazy, busking in Australia and people linking it and wanting more and more every day. "That was great... now do it again!" is a bit sad, a bit painful, but I'm happy Tones and I shared this jam with us.

The songs about how one time when she was busking on the street the crowd started booing her when she announced she was done for the night and wanted her to keep going even though she's been doing it for hours already. I always see this song get a lot of hate and I understand it may be annoying to hear it a lot, but you gotta try to drop that context and be in the moment with a song even if you’ve heard it 1000 times. This is clearly a strong display of quality music and if you don’t recognize that because this song is “too annoying” or “overplayed” that’s just you being stubborn.

What an interesting persona she projects. It's clearly a conscious choice to contrast against her voice and innate presence, even the little details. The way her hair behind her ears looks unwashed (like mine is most days) and little or no makeup for a national debut on a big TV show is no accident. It says 'I am who I am, not who you want me to be'. For me, she represents what I am on a day to day basis (minus the voice) instead of a polished untouchable.
