Last year we flew into AL, drove to Ft Benning GA to see our Basic Training Son, drove to Pensacola Beach for two nights, and then drove the Gulf Coast to New Orleans. What a great time. Had to do it by commercial flight and a rental car but it was so beautiful. Thanks for the video you two!
Am I the only one pausing for a little moment at 14:18 and realising you both are so blessed! ? And great to see the new dashboard and Jayme is happy with it! (well let's be honest, we all are :) ) Btw personally I like the analog gages over digital versions :)
Thanks for another great show. Kevin you're a lucky guy. Great plane, great wife and when you come home having a great kid waiting for you. A fortunate couple indeed.
Can't spend much time in Auburn Al without falling in love with that town. The town itself can only be out done by the people who live there. Both of my kids are better people today due to going to school at AU. Stay safe and thanks for sharing. I hope you had time to walk around downtown Auburn, if so you will understand what I'm talking about.
Jamie, Kevin, so cool you stopped in Auburn, (AUO). My daughter went to college there. Very cool town with great restaurants. Check out The Depot, or The Hound. Acre is also a great place. What great adventures you guys have. Thanks for sharing as always. 👍🏼😊
You're very welcome Brian...glad you're enjoying it! The Hound sounds familiar...can't remember if that is where we ate or not. We enjoyed our short stay there...pretty neat town.
Wow, beautiful day for flying! Looking forward to seeing more of your trip. BTW, I love how you guys can switch from your normal professional comms to the occasional relaxed banter with your coworkers at the TRACON. I think it adds to the appeal of the videos!
She mentioned Navarre. Back in the late 80s I camped down there for 2 weeks in a big tent at Navarre Beach Campground!! Love it down there. Ah the memories!
Sounds like a fun camping trip! I was playing golf there once at Hurlburt AFB and there was a 12 foot gator on the green on a par 3. All I was thinking was Happy Gilmore. :)
Hey guys, KAUO is my home airport and matter of fact I was in the air over Auburn when you two came in that evening. I remember hearing your tail number and wandering if I heard right. That was on October 8th according to my logs. Wish we could have met. Enjoy your videos.
Small world Ben...that was us! You should have said hey and we could have grabbed a drink in town or something. Glad you're enjoying the channel. Maybe we will cross paths again....aviation is a small world. :)
You guys are awesome. I have been watching for a couple of months. If I was going to have someone be my pilot and co-pilot, it would be the two of you. Stay safe. Thank you for sharing your private time with all of us.
Hello guys---that panel is awesome, they truly did you all an excellent job. The weather looks great for a cross country flight. Wish you all would have had more time to come farther west to visit in Cajun Country. The welcome mat is always open---GOOo Tigers!!
It was great to be back John! While not Georgia, I have a special place in my heart for Alabama. AUO is a great airport with super nice/friendly people there. Go DAWGS!!
watch for the cold fronts and get advisories in Florida. Radar controllers are pretty good with vectors around the pop up storms. Key West is a great choice. Have fun and of course film it!!!! or at least most of it.. can get wild!
I just want to say how much I appreciate you guys! I'm a pilot, but inactive these days, and watching your videos makes me feel still a part of aviation and flying. Thanks for all of your videos!
Great video as always Kevin. Nice to have the team back together 🙂 Loved Jaime's reference to the vis as being able to see Russia and very impressed that she did readbacks without writing anything down! I must be getting old as I sometimes struggle with QNH and transponder code! Looking forward to the next one 👍 🇬🇧
Irish Kevin!🤘You guys must've had a chuckle over that one! I'm gonna have to try and find some of that. 😁🍻 Oh ... thought it was a drink! didn't know it was a bar in FL, lol!! Sounds like a great trip! Sure wish I was near there right now. Hit 16°F here yesterday morning, and never got out of the 30's today or yesterday. 😣 Great that Jamie has her own display to set up the way she wants. Got so much information there. Safety level moved up several notches, and the workload moved down, I bet. Nice to have eyes on everything from weather to air traffic, right in front of you. Great job those guys did on that panel! 😎 Hope you guys enjoyed the trip - I'll be watching for Part 2 to appear in my inbox. 😉
Yeah, we saw the name and had to swing by there. Maggie bought me a hat from there. :) I was out hunting the other morning and it said 9 degrees....took hours for me to warm back up after that! They did awesome with the panel upgrades and Jaime is loving her own full functioning GPS with traffic and weather. Thanks for your continued support Smitty!
@@310Pilot - You're welcome, Kevin! Love the vids! Yikes! Yeah single digits, no bueno, lol! It was in the 40's here today, and I've got 2 layers of UnderArmour on! 😂 In back of the house the other day I spotted a red fox - he was watching me, I was watching him. I made some noise to get him to move so I could see him better, and I ended up spooking a good sized doe over to the right that I didn't even see! That was pretty cool. Good luck on the hunt - hope you pack the freezer full. 👍🍻
Stand by for readback, yeah that would have thrown me for a minute. I was impressed by your reading back the clearance without writing it down. Planning to take the Comanche to Alaska this summer and will be flying down the west coast so hopefully we'll be able to say "I can see Russia from here" and actually see it. Always like your videos.
Glad you're enjoying the channel! Sounds like an awesome trip you have planned. I'm for sure going to do the same in the 310 one of these days. When she said early in the video that she may say "JJ" at the end of the transmission...that is because we just got off work and she had been working that sector that releases off of ARR. When you do it for work, especially at the same sector, it really makes it second nature. She's an awesome co-pilot to have. :)
Great cooperation on the initial IFR read back. That was a team effort. Love the smile on Jamie's face with the new visors. LOL I have not noticed 1BC rocking so much before. Yaw damper over working? Great video. Thanks for sharing
Wonderful video guys! So nice to see all your new toys on that panel in front of you! I'm also glad to see that Jamie has a new visor now that does not fall in her face!
I had one of my most difficult landings ever due to winds at KAUO. I was at Destin once waiting for my buddy to pick me up to play golf and Morgan Freeman came in on his King Air. Cool guy
I have just started watching and I have to say you all are great, you all are so good with your kids and I have never flown so I just love the opportunity to see what it is like. Though I did take a shot helicopter ride in Tennessee one time and loved it. So I just don't get out of Kentucky much.
Tread lightly around Destin my son is a cop down there lol!!! The plane looks awesome I am so happy Jamie has her new visor!!! No mirror???? Bad Kevin!!! LOL. You kids have fun and a safe journey!!! God Bless!!!!
Great videos, I have time in Piper’s singles and twins and Cessna‘s Singles and 310 & 421 recently sold my Cherokee so plane less for now. Love the videos, especially being a pilot it all makes sense.

We flew to Auburn a year or so ago. Just have to watch out for potholes on 11/29! Otherwise a great little airport. Thanks for sharing. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip. 👍
Auburn, Alabama home of Auburn University. Home of the first flight school in the south initiated by the Wright brothers when they came to MONTGOMERY to teach people to fly. One of the oldest if not oldest flights schools in a college. I made my first post private pilots licensing to Auburn to watch a football game. War Eagle and hope you enjoyed your stay.
Thank you Mike...love the history of it that I didn't know. I did all my check rides at that airport with the DE there. Private through MEI. Go DAWGS!!
Kevin, Great job on the video. I see you are still enjoying the summer. No more summer left here in the North. Cold and snow and it doesn't look like it is going to leave. I'm sure from when this video was made your weather near Chicago has turned as well. Salesman from Milwaukee said near 14" of snow fell there already. Hopefully it stayed north of you. Have a great weekend.

Glad you chose to land in the greatest little city on the plains.. Home of THE AUBURN TIGERS. Be sure to get to Toomers Corner and check out the Auburn campus. Have a great Aviation Department at Auburn. Not sure when you shot this but from today, your DAWGS will be there next weekend to take on the Tigers. WAR EAGLE!! Visiting a lot of my favorite places on this trip, used to live in Tampa..looking forward to the Gulf Coast.
Love it. Nice flight to your first airport. Your wife has your itinerary down pat. Bob & weave? Haven't heard that expression in a long time. You've never been to Key West? Yeah, neither have I. Enjoyed it. Fly safe.

I watch a few other flying videos.. one I can't tell if it's his daughter or his wife.. other than that he's ok... but I like you guys the best.. your talk is simple(intentionally) so I can understand most of it.. and you two seem to have fun.. keep it fun!! .. that's how I keep my marriage for these 48 years.. keep her laughing..the rest is all "down-hill"....
