- In this episode I take a fairly tired nearly 32 year old Team Losi XX and go all out to bring it back to road worthy and in my opinion shelf queen status with a bit of hard work and some new goodie’s to enhance the experience. Once restored I take it out just to see what the buzz was and I got to say I was beyond impressed and all on 30 year old tires too! Absolute beast. So grab a beverage and a snack and join me on this awesome experience.

Always enjoyable to see race cars restored on your channel, what would we do without Team LOSI and all the innovation they brought to the hobby. Very nice paint job as it captures the era of the past, looks great!
Thank you for your support on my rc channel. 😊
This channel brings me so many smiles. Keep up the good work, Luke!
It’s my pleasure bud. Thanks.☺️
The XX was one of my first rc cars. Man, it'd be cool to have that old car. I can't believe Losi won't rere this. It'd sell like fire.
Absolutely agree with you. Hear us loud Losi. Reissue your vintage. Thanks 🙏
It looks great Luke and was moving out there! I really wish Losi would get their act together and remake some of these buggies. I would love to have some but the prices are just too much usually to justify. Fingers crossed they stop making minis and remake some of these classics!
Yeah buddy I am with you on that. I imagine someone at that company is throwing out the idea of rerelease rc but someone is just not interested that’s the bigger boss. I haven’t heard a peep about that idea and honestly I’m doubtful we will see anything in 1/10 size. I hope I’m wrong though and they give us the 1/10 JRx2 and Pro Perhaps JRxT. Thanks Addam.🤘
Great build Luke. Looks amazing.
Thank you my friend 😊
Those 12 turns are great for 2wd buggies.
Can't wait to see the Duratrax BX! I have one and it's one of the best handling buggies I've ever owned!
I am super pumped for that resto too. thanks
Very nice resto of a great looking vintage racer.👍😊
Thanks buddy 😊
Incredible!
Thank you
Beautiful car! Looks very snappy. Very nicer estoration.
Thank you 😊
Great job, looks great!
Thanks 😊
That is very cool. I can't wait to get 40th anniversary RC10 buggy.
You and me both!
Looks and sounds great.
Thank you 😊
Love the video, hope you feel better soon
Thank you 🙏
Simply super cool. Great job. Id repaint those og spings but silver looks good too
Thanks bro, I’m not a fan of the mismatched springs so probably gonna leave it raw besides looks good. Remember body isn’t box issued or towers.
Looks and runs really nice
It’s a screamer. Thanks 😊
Great resto Luke
Thank you sir 😊
Well, that is one great Losi restoration you got there.
Why thank you man. 😊
Isn't this the fastest car on your channel? IMHO, 35mph clearly is the fastest car on your channel.
My modified 1989 Richman’s Toys Batmobile is the fastest one on the channel 39mph. Fastest car I own is my Arrma limitless at 107.
That looks killer 👌 done a cracking job there. I know Glenn painted some springs for a trf car i think ? That may be an idea to get look of kit springs, but he does say his is just for the shelf ? But well done, i love it 👌
Sometimes i surprise myself lol! I’ve painted a few springs on the channel can’t recall when but it flakes off under pressure. Eventually I’ll find a boxed one to build and that will be shelf only. Meanwhile this will suffice. Thanks for stopping by.✌️
Wow...this one's from the good old days back around the time I got started in RC. It was one of the many that was out of my...admittedly limited...price range, lol.
Yeah man these are some really good ones. Still gots the goods. Thanks 😊
Can't believe its been 31 yrs ago, I saved up the money for two years to buy my losi xx.
Time flies. Thanks for watching.😊
Nice car! It would be awesome to see it running on dirt though.
Well with new tires. Future video why not.👍
Mr. Luke I found a nikko 1/10 buggy at a good will it was missing somethings but i had to have it I wanted one when I was a kid and never got one it has the 540 or 550 original motor I need the disks that keep the wheels from slipping on rear axel mine fell in half. do you know where i can buy them or is tamiya parts compatible? mine is so old it had batteries just for the servo . thanks for any advice .
If you want take a pic and post the buggy on my Facebook group. I’ll approve the request and I can see what model it is. Also check out my nikko and radio shack videos. It might give you some insight.
@@LukesVintageRC I seen some of those they are awesome it's how I found your channel.
