Samurai Jack is such a great example of the promise of what 21st Century ORIGINAL storytelling could have been. It's a simple concept, minimalist in a narrative sense, heavy on visuals and audio-visual artistry. The concept was a perfect way to make a literal "Jack of all trades" type of show. @@jacoryfrazier2593 Jack and the Spartans in Season 2.
21 century storytelling still lived up to those standards. Not always. But when it did it did. Look at gravity falls, spiderverse, infinity train, over the garden wall, adventure time.
@codingkid0169 Agree to disagree, I find none of those to match the legacy of Samurai Jack
My childhood
Same
EVERYONE in the comments section has grown up with this show
Best intro to a movie /animation of all time , like you know the story has gotta be damn interesting when you hear it
truly a work of pure genius from genndy tartakovski

Gerson Paulo Just looked, OMG!! I am hyped!! Have I been under a rock this whole time?!
I remember for whatever reason this would air after 9pm on school nights it was always a treat to stay up and watch it
I still remember watching this show...brings back nostalgic memories.
imagine if Tartakovsky wasn’t restricted by one episode format from the very beginning and gave us one whole, complete story just like ATLA. Could have been the best western cartoon
Whos here from Coryxkenshin becuz this is my childhood, I believe everyone elses lol
DUDE YESSSS
Meee
This was definitely my childhood as well. Cory just reminded me abt it
Me

This show was only on TV around noon when I was a kid, so the only time I watched it was when I had to stay home from school for being sick. Still gives me an uncanny fever dream like vibe, I can't explain it.
When i was ten, i had leukemia and i got stuck in the hospital alot, so me and my dad used to watch the toonami block together to help the night go faster. I discovered samurai jack and we would watch it every weekend together while we made jokes at eachother, those were the days.
Are You Cured?? Thank GodIf You Are!!
This show was so incredible!,I will have to watch it again!
I really like this show a lot.
What a perfect opening. The menacing monologue, the crazy-ass twist, then the hard-ass beats.
I dearly miss the 2000s.
This was one of my favourite cartoon from childhood! Nostalgia!!
man my childhood...
this hits me so deep everytime i watch this
it just has a special place in my heart
too sad at some point they stopped airing it on cartoon network
planning on rewatching all the episodes
The reason why they stopped airing it back then was because the voice actor for the villain Aku died and finding a replacement for him eluded them until now.
Hope this clears it up for you.
Peace out!!!
@@jwppowers original can never be replaced thats a sad truth .......
anyone else born 1992-1998 who grew up with the original runs of the original ben10 and danny phantom and samurai jack and teen titans¿
I was born in '86, so I a lot of those shows weren't my thing but my friend and I never missed an episode of Samurai Jack. I think it's one of those shows that everyone, from little kids to adults can enjoy.
Nope I was born in '05 I used to watch this on Nicktoons and Toonami on Adult Swim
I'm was born in 1995 November 1st
Born 2001 grew up on them.
I was in 98 and watched them, more so Ben 10 and also grim adventures of billy and Mandy was another one of my favourites
Playing with the aspect ratio is an iconic creative choice of this sjow
Best quality intro I've seen, thanks for uploading!
You're welcome and thanks for viewing
Remember every night Teen Titans would play from 11p-12a, then Samurai Jack started at midnight. I stayed up every night as a kid watching these 2 shows
This show, more than anything, taught us to never give up, no matter how many times you fall. Means a lot coming from a lost teen like me right now :)
I still remember every episode, man this was a Straight W, me and my dad use to watch every episode and this intro takes me back to the good ole days man this was such a legendary Show
This show was my childhood, man. I love all of it, the music, the characters, the scenery especially. I recently rewatched the whole show twice. No regrets.
Lol never realised this was Iroh
IM SORRY WHAT
@@aliyarubinstein6587 Iroh and Aku had the same voice actor (:
yeah
I thought the exact same thing now that I’m older listening to it again. Same voice for sure
Same!
Who's here after the reveal boys
Jack is back boys
Me bro
If you sang along to this as a child you childhood was awesome.
When I was a kid I didn't understand English and there were no subtitles. Yet it's made so masterfully and simple that the lessons every single episode had subconcsiously were imprinted in my little mind.Jack will always be a role model to be kind yet decisive and to never forget your roots and principles. Wat`shaaaa ;)
0:43 the music begins
Wow. That many people have a dislike for the opening narration? This is sad.
@@TheInkPitOx well the song is pretty awesome must admit
Keith Pixton I think most people come for the badass music
I think the narration is much better! :)
DansGame you don't skip Aku
How many of you guys were here after Jack’s arrival in MultiVersus
Started watching samurai jack after multiverses trailer, I didn’t realize how peak samurai jack is until I gave it a watch
This intro is seriously the most badass I’ve seen for a cartoon, it’s timeless.
This was my favorite show when I was a kid!
Me too
Me too also
one of the greatest Cartoon Network shows ever and I still rewatch it
I just recited this intro, almost word for word to my girlfriend and I came to see how close I was. Haven’t watched the show in like 17 years but it is still in my head. They did a great job back in the day.
I love how much imagination and style the backgrounds of this show have.
I was 5 years old when I watched this show till I was 8. Now am 19 and still Remember the intro. I mean.... The person who created this show a Genius. Very Creative.
We 90's kids know how to be patient and wait for the next episode of every cartoon or tv show back then. Those are the good times.
RIP Mako. From an evil and vicious mastermind to a loving and caring uncle.
Wielding a UNSPEAKABLE coconut.

Wielding an unspeakable evil
@Thiago Rodrigues Weilding an unspeakable magic sword
I don't want to flood my youtube feed with cartoon network, but i remembered being a kid and binge watching samurai jack and just had to see the intro again
Even after all these years i still remember the intro word for word. I used to go say the words with Aku every time i watched samurai Jack when i was a kid
still remember staying up late and hearing this song, and remembering this show. as a child I thought the lyrics was saying "Samurai Jack, Samurai Jack, say Samurai Jack watch out".
Man I miss this show, the early 2000s was truly a golden era. You had everything great about the 80s, 90s and combined with all of the things that were created in the new millennium.
