I sometimes get frustrated with other drivers in Wreckfest, but not if they are merely leaning on my car in a turn. I figure if they can keep up with me and get alongside in a turn without corner bombing me, they are faster and can have the spot. If I'm significantly faster, I'll get back past them.
I always bump people who do that to me into the next turn, always sends them wide and loses them a position or two, but you've gotta be careful with doing it if you don't wanna crash them out
To be honest, those server rules are very grey. Feels like if you can justify you actions enough, you can get away from ban. Other than that! This video was really helpful thanks!
I'm working on a video right now on almost exactly this, why wreckfest is so hard to moderate, but I would always recommend you record your plays, with just a reply buffer, using something like OBS so you can explain from your situation what happened

@@kaurpold9706 I can't speak for all servers but in BF you need to be kicked 2-3 times before you get your first ban so you'll probably be fine. (again speaking about BF) Generally speaking the rules come down to intent so it's rare that a player will be kicked for being bad, and if they are then 9 times out of 10 they'll be on their first 10 mins in game and can hardly keep a 121 rocket on the track but even then mods should try to speak to them saying something like "player, you should probably complete a bit of the career before you do online racing"
@@slayerofmidgets3201 Yeah, I am learning manual gearbox with roadslayer while farming lawnmowers in custom game. Once I see I manage 3 laps without any resets then I am worthy of pvp. Bought WF 2 days ago. But I am trying to understand, why block off so much content in pvp games? Ramming is huge content. Is it cuz pple gang up on 1 player to another player or?
Supposedly once your server rules video comes out I will watch it, so if prefer not to answer to every new player, it would be quite understandable. Ifffff I can offer you more expansion for video on this topic as questioneer, I can keep spamming necessary questions, heh.
Is using tc and stability cheating? While going for lap times or is it advised? Struggling when I took it off and seconds off my time but don't want to be seen as a cheater
I did a bit of a breakdown of tcs and stability control in wreckfest science... 1 I think, as a general rule half off half is fastest, no stability control gives you more control for a significant boost in difficulty driving and traction control is almost, if not always slower, that being said I got a top 50 time on sandstone main using half half half so maybe there's some merit to using it. Is it cheating? No not really, is it easier, yes but it's already very hard to get top 200 times, let alone getting on the leaderboards
I enjoy #3 kinda gameplay more than just putright wrecking players, stuff where you can spin, cornerbomb etc other players, basically folk racing and such, I don't play games like nfs purely because I prefer wreckfest, I like how the damage models even if its unrealistic, and I'm good at wreckfest, if I can make you faster so you can keep up with players to wreck them, or if I've just made you faster so you can fight with players better, I've done my job lol
I tried to follow every advice in this and every other vid, but can't anyway improve my driving skills. I tried changing settings, tuning, driving style but nothing significantly changed (i just earned some tenth of second but i can say it's probably just because i made more experience). Sometimes the car doesn't turn, other times it oversteers a lot, forcing me to go out the line, and this happens with every car in every race, impeding me to fight with good racers. I just don't understand why, should I review my settings? Or maybe it's just me being a noob?
Its basically impossible to get better at almost any game just with videos, practice and experience makes good racers but if you're finding the car is steering unpredictably I would soften your suspension a little, I wouldn't go any less than 3 but it'll load the suspension a bit as you corner which should make it a bit more predictable. Also a good tip if you're trying to nail settings, adjust them one at a time and drive a lap or two solo to feel how it affects the car, you could also try moving your brake bias to either 3 or 4 too, it'll make the car want to turn more off the front as you tap the brakes, 3 will keep the car in line a bit more as you brake and it'll stop you a little faster than any other tuning on brakes
That's a bit inconvenient, but there's a few things you can do, try the.. I think it's called proximity sensor mod, that'll help give you some information on cars and.. Well their proximity to you, quite a self explanatory mod, and you could also get a different rev limiter that's bigger or easier to see, I've got no specific recommendations for that though, I've also heard of mods which make controllers vibrate with the engine rpm so as you get higher in the power band the controller vibrates harder, I have no idea if anything like that exists for wreckfest though
Gosh i’ve got a lot to learn, i’ve just downloaded it on my iPad and play auto box and tilt steering. Think i might invest in a controller now lol 👍. Can you really get band from playing this game ? Now that’s scaring me from playing on line now.

Maybe need some driving gloves. Never tried them myself, a little too fancy for my taste but i it’s worth a shot
im going to try learning manual clutch, but is putting the clutch on your right stick and shifting with L&R 1 still a thing?
yeah, it is, i just cant get used to the muscle memory
What track would you say an ok player should drive on
Pretty much any track in the game, I would say learning something like esp short or savona main is a good idea

Showaddywaddy is top 100 on every track in C class and she plays keyboard so.. no but I think it's easier to learn

what do you use for the input overlay?
I use obs with a second a window capture in Google the site I use is gamepadviewer
