    I was glad to see this new upload, because I value the advice of your videos. I think I have watched all of your Wreckfest videos, some of them multiple times. You seem to be enjoying the Roadslayer GT these days, though I notice it isn't painted your signature white and aqua.
    As far as new ideas for videos, I have been doing a lot of testing with car preparation lately, especially the effects of the inclusion of armor.
    For example, I was running my favorite car (a C-Class Gorbie) pretty successfully with very little armor, but recently added over 300kg to it to see how it would drive. I was then able to raise the horse power and torque by adding more points that had been reduced by adding the armor. Oddly, the handling was not seriously affected by the significant increase in weight. I actually ran faster lap times on the Pinehills Rally Circuit with the armored version and equal times on Boulder Bank Short Circuit. It also competes better in multiplayer competition due to its greater resistance to attacks and random jostling.
    The armor gives some advantages. Beyond the obvious increase in strength, the car is more difficult for other players to push around, the car can sometimes become more stable, and the aforementioned potential increase in power.
    I was wondering if you can create a guide to car preparation. There seems to be a lot to say (armor placement being another sub-topic). Perhaps driving is more your specialty, but if you can give us some pointers on car prep, I'd be interested in watching your video.

      Hi, a lot is testing on your own,bcs every driver has a different style.That sentence in it self wont help much,but always see the most guides just as what they are,a rough guideline.Maybe it is easier for you to drive an armored car consistently on MP servers,but what has for me and others proven to be better, is practice the shit out of a car/track combo alone.Tweak some armors tweak a little here and there and run 10-20 laps.Rinse and repeat.For me its foremost how my first motorized experiences that set the tone for everything after.In my first years with drivers licence i went apprx 200.000km some vans or estate cars and im just used to the stabilizing effect of the rear part at higher speeds.If you like the gorbie with armor,maybe go hunter panther without.
      One of your point is going for the variety of servers,some are clean ,like no more than 2 wheels of the tarmac/obvious circuit and only little scratching tolerated.Some are semi-clean-> drive within game track limits and dont spin ,wall ride,or rob other too much time.And then there is the rest,the dirty ones.Partly its just drunken Mofos and 6 busses going reverse,but sometimes its more like a clean server with a little bit of crashing.Focus on the damage set,like normal,realistic and intense.
      If you hear your suspension having sqeaking,its probably to hard,either alter line choices or go a bit softer.
      There is a lot to say about the social aspect,bcs as a regular you might find all the same ppl again and again.Playing too selfish when you are in a group will lead too a bad experience,so give a little room here and there and dont go full on retard for the lulz on wrong servers.
      Where armor?
      either a little bcs realistic semi-clean,none bcs normal clean or semi-clean,or everything (maybe not the fat rollcage,but everything else for center of gravity).
      Some cars run better with armor ,because the dampers respond well to it.Additionally i do know as a courier driver,what weight can do.Problem in WF is you cant change dampers/springs fine enough.Like f.e. if you are a twitchy driver the gorbie rear axle might benefit from more weight on it,to counter your "spasms".
      Im an auto/KB driver,i like that this frees my brian to look at minimap and hear the sound around.Not the fastest,but in a crowd im having all the info i need.

      I've been thinking of making a video on armour for a while, I think you're right in that it doesnt make much of a difference in the cars, but they do definitely get slower by an amount (it changes car to car of course) they always retain the same power to weight regardless of armour but their 0-60 times do change and their grip cornering definitely changes too, but O'm certain there is a happy middle ground of effective armour and a lighter faster car, but what that is I've got no idea at the moment lmao

    • @wobblestone3148
      @wobblestone3148 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      your car wasn't slower cuz you upgraded both the power and the armor. im pretty sure if you remove all the weight while keeping the same power upgrades you will be noticeably faster

    Hi mate - for a "video suggestion" I've noticed that a lot of tracks have short cuts or a quicker way to get around the track fast with out necessarily staying on the track.
    I was wondering if you could do a video showing the quickest way around some of the more popular tracks.
    I hope this make sense.
    Cheers

    Why avoid cornering while braking? I thought it was the go to method because it puts more weight on steering wheels thus better cornering.

    • @slayerofmidgets3201
      @slayerofmidgets3201  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Turning while braking gives the tire two directions to work in, forwards because you're braking and sideways because you're turning, the limits of the tires become a issue too quickly. Test it by going through a corner close to the limit of grip and brake, the car will go wider

    Mate how does multiplayer tuning work? Do I need to finish single player game in order to get parts to be competitive online? I am completely lost

    • @slayerofmidgets3201
      @slayerofmidgets3201  ปีที่แล้ว

      Watch wreckfest science part 3, that's got tuning in it, if you can't find the tuning menu online, it should be in the lobby, or go to a singe player match and set it there, the game will remember it for your cars. But not loaners

    English is not my natural lenguage so let see if I get it right: aprox in the middle of the vid you're saying that a car that is better at corners (Raiden, KillerbeeS) should take the turns as wide as possible to mantain the momentum in terms of speed?

    • @kijekuyo9494
      @kijekuyo9494 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I know you're asking the video host, but I wanted to chime in and say that sometimes running the high lines on the oval tracks is the fastest way around, depending on the car. I do it with my Gorbie on the mud oval. Sometimes I can do it with my Razor on the paved ovals. Maybe this is only for C-Class cars.

    • @flummi6966
      @flummi6966 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      TBF i havent really heard something like that,maybe bcs german is nearer to english than italian or spanish,or any other roman language.you should awlays try to use the maximum track width,if the situtation allows it.there might be slower cars faster cars,dead cars.always aim for the apex,look where you want to be.

    • @slayerofmidgets3201
      @slayerofmidgets3201  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not exactly sure where in the video you're talking about, but if there is room on the inside of the corner when you reach the apex of the turn (the apex is the point you start exiting the turn, usually half way through the corner, but not always) then you can take the corner tighter until you've used all that track up unless it sets you up badly for the next corners of course
      for entering corners you want to be as far on the outside of the corner as you can be because this allows you to make the turn less sharp and more flowy, which is always better in every car. If you're defending against a more agile car (i think this is roughly what i said in the vid that caused the question) keeping them on the outside of the corner where they'll have less grip than you on the inside of the corner is critical, if they try to stay side by side with you they'll need to physically drive further around the outside of the corner, and go faster through the turn than they would in order to stay there which takes away the more agile car's main advantage which is grip

      @@kijekuyo9494 Yep on the paved ovals the high line is the fastest in Wreckfest in a Raiden for sure... and I think in many other cars too.

    It seems you truly have suberb content on this channel. Nevertheless I would like to have an answer to one simple question. Is "pumping with gas" in corners a good approach with cars like Killerbee for instance?

    • @slayerofmidgets3201
      @slayerofmidgets3201  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I probably wouldn't, usually if you need power you'll want all of it and it could make some corners quite sketchy as the car oversteers while you accelerate. It works in fwd where you can cause deceleration oversteer as you lift off and turn, but it's hard to use well

    watch the entire video and still can't process allat due to peanut brain (like me)
    OR
    just divebomb every single corner, as long as there is a car in front of you, divebomb it.
    pit maneuver the car in front of you whenever you can
    unless there is no car in front of you, don't brake in corners. the car in front is the brake.
    congrats, you learned the basics, you will be getting kicked out of online lobby every time XD

    SoM, maybe you could review/critic wreckfest driving of other youtubers. My 19th to 2nd video is creative commons so you have permission to use it, I can imagine you criticism of my shifts, brake points amd corner lines. I bet others would enjoy your critic, you would promote more wreckfest content. Production would be easy, play the video and chat.
    I've rubbed fenders with you on Black Flag, I noticed someone posted a youtube of racing with you, that might be a good starting point instead of my 19th to 2nd.
