Thanks for including the equipment links in the video description; that's a nice feature of your channel. I've gone simpler by using Stihl's Log Stand attached to their log Peavey, but I can see it wouldn't work as well for smaller limbs.
You're welcome! I also use the peavey and log stand. I found an old video of mine demonstrating it on a big tree that I dropped in my yard. I was new at making videos back then. Hopefully I improved with my filming and editing. If you want to check it out, here's a link: th-cam.com/video/nt6f0JnTXxk/w-d-xo.html
Hi Mark, just wondering whether you would be able to do a video about the different tools which are best to have for starting a Lawn and Hedge maintenance business?
I am in need of a light weight dependable chainsaw. The only dealer close is ECHO. Could you recommend an Echo chainsaw that is Dependable and light? I have a big saw that is good. This will be for branches chest height, under growth, saplings etc. I have never owned an Echo before. Thanks.
My favorite small saw is the CS 2511T, which is powerful little top handle. It's a pro saw, so the price is up there. ECHO just introduced the CS-3510 which is probably what I would recommend. Good power and lightweight. Let me know how it goes.😄👍
One of my favorite measuring devices for firewood is the Mingo Marker. It quickly marks up long trees or limbs. I recall making a review video several years ago.
I saw a video on a lithium powered husqvarna chainsaw that was only around 8 lbs, and very capable up to around 6", also very quiet, so as a limbing saw I see the battery powered units as the way to go! I'm sure eventually all the chainsaws will go to battery if the technology continues to advance as it has been :)
Glad to see you are still using the Wood Dock!
It's held up well for me. I should probably give it a fresh coat of paint.
good video. I don't have that stuff but at least I know what they are which is in itself helpful. appreciate it.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks Mark, great video. How did you get a Truncator? It says on their website they only ship to the UK.

Safety first!!
Do a cutting a tee dawn
Next time I have a tree to cut.
I am surprised that you were not seemingly using any method to make all pieces of firewood come out the same length i.e. 16 inches or so.

I tested out a Dewalt battery powered saw at the GIE Expo in October. I was amazed how powerful it cut through a cedar 6x6 several times in a row.
Wood dock, please show what you did with the pin
Here's a video I made explaining the pin modification... th-cam.com/video/76y8kg1X8mY/w-d-xo.html
Awesome, great way to cut limbs into small pieces
I also built a sawbuck 6 months ago for cutting branches and limbs. You may want to check it out as another option to consider.
cool video
Thanks!

Not too safe with rubber boots!
True! I'm looking for a good pair for chainsaw work.

Haha, I understand what you're talking about. I subscribed to a new music source, so I think I have a grip on that now.
STOP with the stupid music!
