    When they come back to reality and charge a normal price, please update us. Even for your "hockey program or rink" $4k is a big investment is something that really only one person could use at a time and only serves such a specific purpose. Really cool...just very limited.

  • @basterisk
    @basterisk 10 ปีที่แล้ว +104

    Man I don't want to hate, but this thing needs to be 1 grand at the most. They would make so much more money if they priced it better. More facilities would buy 'em, then more hockey players/parents would be exposed to it, and they could actually buy one for the home.

      If it was 500 and under that would be in my house

    • @basterisk

      hockeysnipes 13
      I'd give 'em a call. I doubt they'd go _under_ 500, but they must realize that while this may be worth well over $3500 to a training facility, it isn't worth that much to the average player. When I get my house, I'm gonna see if I can't grab one for 500-1000 big ones.

    just regular molded plastic. takes max 50$ to produce

    • @beavboyz
      @beavboyz 10 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      If you can get this made for $50 let's go into business together and sell them fro $1000 each, that's $950 profit! I'm assuming due to the price they actually cost much more than that, and the initial set up cost must have been very high. So the price covers material and the money invested to get the product to market

      Have to also remember that ideas have value as well. It is a simple concept but apparently no one else had developed it before which is why they deserve to get so much money for it.

      I wouldn't even take it for free, let alone 4k. if u miss the target, u will chase the puck. and on 65% of the shots that went in, it ended up going by him and he'd have to chase them across the rink. i would say 10-12% of the shots are going to come right back to his stick. Most of the time he's trying to stop the puck from going by him. If you buy this, you'll still end up chasing the puck. TOTAL SCAM!

    You could probably just make one of these for a fraction of that price by just using ten inch diameter PVC pipe and use then use PVC elbows to make it a loop or heat them up and bend it. Then so for the front just use a sturdy peice of ply wood with big holes cut in the or something

    • @TheTjoconnor
      @TheTjoconnor 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      and then it breaks in six months and you have to make another one. this thing is built to last for years. i tried it at a local rink and honestly, the thing is a tank.

      when the puck gets stuck inside you just keep shooting. Your other shots will eventually knock the other puck out. You can also reach your stick in and get most of the pucks if they aren't right at the back

    Buy a piece of plywood and cut out the 6 spots. Lol. Won’t return the puck but great for shot positioning.
    In a whole, this net looks awesome!

    It's a cool idea, but the price point is so high. My local rink just replaced all the nets and they are super tight. Pucks bounce right back out....

    You could make this, buy a new pair of skates,, New stick, a couple jerseys, new gloves, get a nice trim for your lettuce, and take a couple groupies out all the while still having cash left over at that price

    has anyone tried shooting at a small trampoline tipped up on its side? the puck would fly more erratically but they would come back probably

    would be fun to have one of these to practice, but come on...almost 4k?!! they must be using space-grade material on it :D
    like mentioned numerous times below, you can DIY this for much less. Maybe when the company will have bad sales they`ll realize and lower the price.
    Nevertheless great video, keep `em coming :)
