Thanks for watching I do want to mention this watch does have a ghost date position, the dial is Muonionalusta Meteorite and is Grade 2 Ti with a DLC coating to 1200hv hardness
I'm not a fan of those arabic numerals ,no date. The chapter ring is printed .The crystal is flat and has rubbish AR coating. My last Zelos was really bad finished, and the "rubber strap" was actually cheap silicone . On top of the costs of this watch, here in UK you'll pay an additional 20%vat. I'll better buy a Christopher Ward, swiss movement for the same money,5 years warranty, etc ,plus support a uk business, rather than Chinese
For the price, you can just spend a touch more and be in Sinn or Christopher Ward territory. I’d rather go that route. Can’t argue with Zelos’ success though.
I absolutely love Zelos. I have two; both are titanium (the "satin" dial swordfish and the teal dial mako). Such fantastic watches at amazing pricepoints. I really, really like the overall look of this one too (that case is just too cool), other than the crown design which I really don't like. Since I already have teal and a gray (well, brushed titanium to be exact) dial from them, I'll probably be skipping this one. Although, the full lume one looks incredible, as does the teal.
Another homerun by Zelos but enough with the limited productions already it just makes great business sense if a watch is popular and selling just make more of them pretty simple stuff
We can't deny that Zelos and sister brand Axios make some great watches. They are one of the micro brands that take seriously. That case is Crazy. Kinda reminds me of Formex . Another innovative micro brand that should be taken seriously. IMO.
I'm thinking the La Joux Perret is the same architecture as the Miyota 9015 it's just swiss made I'm wondering if it's a better movement quality wise .Does anyone know the difference ? Personally i don't like the look of this watch.
From what I've seen and read online. The LJP G100 has a screw style fine tuning device for better, more accurate, and consistent time regulation by the watchmaker. The G100 is rated at +/- 12 seconds per day vs the Miyota +10/-30 seconds per day rating. The G100 also has a longer power reserve with a 42 hour reserve on the Miyota and a 68 hour reserve on the LJP G100. It is a comparable movement to a Sellita SW200 Standard Grade. Completely different level from a Miyota 9015 despite sharing a lot of design elements and inspiration from the Miyota. There is one downside that does not bother me but will likely bother many, there is a ghost date on this watch with this movement.
@@benferris3252one thing I would add is other brands like Anordain and Farer that use this movement remove the ghost date position so I assume this was a slight cost cutting move on Zelos part. That being said this movement is way better than sw200 in terms of power reserve and doesn't have the flaws all 2824 clones have.
@@Cyime That is good information. I haven't looked as much into Anordain but the Farer watches that use this movement are a bit more expensive to my knowledge usually closer to the $1000 USD mark than the $800 entry mark of this Zelos ($900 for the meteorite) and I presume the custom rotor evened out the cost savings by a good margin. Both great brands putting out fantastic products with this movement in the sub $1000 market. I've also liked the Frederique Constant FC-301SWR3B6 that uses the G100 without a date window for admittedly quite an upcharge (double the price)
Great review Chris - I’ve got choice anxiety trying to select which one to get! On the blue dial, the two dial sections are at different levels (the outer ring is slightly higher than the inner section). If so, I’m assuming the patterned dials like Meteorite are one-piece without any step (just the ring placed on top)? Please can you confirm on your piece… I also like the Arctic (cerakote bezel & crown), however the lugs are gunmetal coated which seems to remove the only polished chamfers. Between the models you have seen, which stands out to you as the most impressive dial to match this unique case? Thanks again!
In the overall scheme of things meteorites are very rare but there have been tons of them that have fallen to the Earth. They're readily available for sale and can be quite affordable. The meteorite in this watch is the Muonionalusta and it fell in what is now Sweden about 800,000 years ago.
I don't know if I'm done with Zelos but I absolutely hate their business model. Making everyone jump through hoops and creating this feeding frenzy every time they release a watch. It's definitely working for them though.

This is a very beautiful watch! I think their inspiration though came from the Audemars Piguet Code 11.59.
Zelos once again sets the new standard for microbrands. It’s amazing how much value and creativity they can pack into their watches.
Love it. It might just be my first Zelos meteorite watch

ZEEEEEE-LOS......
One day I hope my channel grows big enough I get to review Zelos watches before release. Good review sir.
You were the guy who got me into Zeeee los!!
I'll throw in a prayer for you. 👍

I love when Zelos does the blue steel with meteorite combination but I think the cerakote Artic will be the dial option for me
Nice watch brother..
One of my 2 watch journey regrets was selling my Zelos.
👍👍👍 Nice Watch , Elegant Look , Sensation Andromeda Sky , Watch Best Presentation by Watch Chris 👍👍👍
Much appreciated!

forgot to mention the “ghost date position “ which is a turn off for most of us … did u do it intentionally???
No not intentionally I added a pinned comment
That’s honeycomb not knurling.
Yes I need glasses
Every new zelos release makes me wish I had more disposable income... oh well, maybe one day.
Interesting release, especially the case. I have the mako 40mm titanium and swordfish 40mm steel both well recommended 👌
Love it - will be buying the Teal on day1
Yesssssss! The Teal is stunning.

What.? Not a problem u can’t get a watch u want. Eh, ok. No comments.
zelos is the rolls royce of the divers, whis piece is unique !!
Very cool looking watch. Well done Zelos.
not sold out. i guess the price has to do with it.
Is there a gap between the case and crown when screw down?

You can tell by the mete patterns on this that it’s just one piece
Where do these companies get all this meteorite?

@@sinjinadams2862, thank you for the information. However I asked if anyone knew if there brokers who are licensed to buy meteorite? Now

Pretty ugly watch.
Zelos has gone and done it again! Love this! Love the rotor! Too bad it's just a Miyota clone, rather have the NH
You would rather have a inferior disposable movement. Very bizarre take.

True.
@@sinjinadams2862these watches are still available on the site. No more feeding frenzy.
Looks great
