Thats a strange way to spell Pikmin... In all serioisness though I cant wait to play this game when I get the chance, it looks super cute and just my style!
I TOTALLY would love seeing you play more of this~ What a great style and the system looks super fun! Thanks for showing us this, and I'll totally be keeping a hopeful eye out for more~
I literally just clicked this video because it had "Lemmings" in the title. Damn the original was so amazing. Played that for tens-of-hours back in the days. In a time where 10 hours still was A LOT for any game to be played 😂
Born in '87 so I crushed Lemmings. Such an innovative game in it's time. That thirst for a game in that genre has been there this whole time but nobody was ever able to re-bottle that lightning.
LEMMINGS! kids these days don't know what they are missing out on. Complete polished fun game experience.... those were the days. Edit: I'd say this is more of a mix of Lemmings+Pikmin with automation games, which is a archetype I'd love to play.
[slowly raises hand] I did play Lemmings, although years after it debuted, because I was still grumpy that I couldn't get a copy of it when it debuted in early '90s.
lemmings was fun! I also enjoy the graphics here, I really enjoyed the demo! its interesting in the beginning you were putting one spark per tree, I always always would throw three per tree even in the beginning, that way all 3 logs were brought back. different strategies both work.
yeah - give me those 'realistic' Stumpy Sparks... XD There is a computer museum near me that I recently took the kids too. It had consoles that I grew up with (and before) Including the Lemmings game, all displayed and available to play on. This...made me feel old. My old toys in Museums... Thanks for the video.
I odd-matically hit like when I start watching a video from my fellow Canadian. Edit: Dang it, he made the pun himself. Never hitting like until the end of a video now.
This looks sweet! Odd if you like Factorio style games you’ve gotta try out Mindustry. It’s like Factorio mixed with Dome Keeper with more tower defense elements
Lemmings... The first game I got for my Amiga500+ (1992)... And it was back in the day when it was 1game for your birthday, 1 for Christmas and 1game for every 15 weeks of paper rounds😮
Building the stairs in Lemmings and forget to click on time so they fell to their death. OOF! I played the demo, never played an automation type of game, but the tutorial was done so well. Even for "just" a demo :)
I've already said it under the first war hospital video. Odd skipping the tutorial just to give viewers a tutorial. I think I want this man to partner up with some game coming out and have it come stock with an odd narrated tutorial. I would love Odd-Tutorials in games become a thing
Lemmings was my jam in school. It was challenging, but fun. This, however, has more of a Pikman vibe in that you go around and toss different creatures to do your work for you.
- if you send 3 sparks to harvest small tree they will gather all resources right away and harvest faster too (each spark can only pick up 1 resource and small tree gives 3 wood) - if you leave the screen too quickly while sparks still gather resources they will stop gathering them and teleport to you
If this was truly like lemmings, they'd run off in some direction as soon as they were created. 😛 Reminds me of Pikmin, though, especially with how you toss them at things.
This is a cross of pikmin and automation. You even throw sparks like how you threw pikmins at things for them to do stuff (fight, harvest, etc). The only thing Lemming-like is that they walk a path forever, just like how Lemmings did.
Lemmings is just a bit too old for me to have picked up, but not some of my cousins. It's a testament to how good the game was that I still remember playing it with them... once... at least two decades ago.
I vote you officially call it Odd-o-mating. "Typical me-move." xD idk what that'd be i haven't seen you do a ton of automation games, so idk what the proclivities are, but it'd be funny to adopt that. lol
Lemmings was fun as hell.
IS... IS fun as hell, but alone playing it... same goes with Worms, but for the PvP part... both kinda silly, but very enjoyable...
One of my favorite games back on the Amiga 500! DMA Design and Psygnosis, those were the good ole days!
Oh no! pop! popopopop!
I loved Lemmings. It was the reward in computer class when you finished your typing practice/computer basics.
My reward was Oregon Trail on old macs
@@ChristopherOddOregon Trail here too, but it was on DOS/Windows 3.1. That and Number Munchers. We're old, Odd. 👴
I had a green tone screen mac growing up with the massive floppy disks @@ChristopherOdd
Was the original Prince of Persia here
The first PC we had at school was the Apple IIe
I grew up with Lemmings. I miss those little rascals.

I liked Lemmings a lot, however this game reminds me more of Pikmin, how you throw your minions at things.
A little too young for Lemings myself, but it definitely has some Pikmin elements.
i was thinking pikmin or overlord. looks pretty good though
Yes! just commented this (a bit late)
Visuals are great. Automation games tend to become stressful, and this style relieves stress very well. Lovely game.
I literally just clicked this video because it had "Lemmings" in the title.

lemmings on the Commodore 64! wow those where fun times
yeah, first on my C64 then on my neighbors Amiga 500
Im in love with the sound that those little creatures make ❤
ODDspark with cristopherODD I LOVE IT
Even just watching is addictive and relaxing
OMG this game looks so polished! i'd love to see more of this! i was very bad at lemmings though
You did a great job covering this and addressing all the highlights. Great job!
Really good stuff. Can't wait to see more
Lemming was so good! You are not alone!
Lemmings is possibly the greatest game ever created
Yes, I and my wife (at the time, just the one, so far!!) and our friends played LOTS of Lemmings. You're in good hands!!
I would LOVE to see you play this game, it's soooo cute.
Throwing stumps is awesome, & worth the price of admission XD I can see why you would make a Lemmings comparison
Born in '87 so I crushed Lemmings. Such an innovative game in it's time. That thirst for a game in that genre has been there this whole time but nobody was ever able to re-bottle that lightning.

I dig it - Play some more!
Love this! I hope you make more vids on it 😊
[slowly raises hand] I did play Lemmings, although years after it debuted, because I was still grumpy that I couldn't get a copy of it when it debuted in early '90s.
I hope odd plays more odd
We followed you here Mr Odd. Just like lemmings!
Reminds me of A Kingdom for Keflings. Too young for lemmings
Lemmings..what a throwback..
So many great memories of lemmings! You're not alone Odd!
lemmings was fun! I also enjoy the graphics here, I really enjoyed the demo! its interesting in the beginning you were putting one spark per tree, I always always would throw three per tree even in the beginning, that way all 3 logs were brought back. different strategies both work.
Be good to see you play the full game :)
i love the throwing the sparks mechanic. reminds me of Overlord. that was a sweet game
I am truly amazed at the quality of games these days. Everything looks like it belongs and is so polished
Loved the Lemmings - the one with the parasol was the best.
There’s a statue of lemmings in Dundee Scotland!
I own a copy of lemmings on sega saturn
Oh man lemmings takes me back, I haven't played that in forever.
yeah - give me those 'realistic' Stumpy Sparks... XD
There is a computer museum near me that I recently took the kids too. It had consoles that I grew up with (and before) Including the Lemmings game, all displayed and available to play on. This...made me feel old. My old toys in Museums... Thanks for the video.
I think the last time I played lemmings it was on a friends 486. So it was...a few years ago at least lol
Played the hell out of Lemmings on the Amiga back in the day but I think a better analogy would be Pikmin, not Lemmings. Looks like a cool game!
Lemmings was one of the first games I played with my Dad in the 90s. We used to play games together in the afternoons after school.
Lemmings was awesome. Loved those games.
Would love to see you play the whole game on release.
After seeing you playing it I downloaded it and tried myself. Thanks a lot! Loved it a lot! Now I want it to be done sooner
I odd-matically hit like when I start watching a video from my fellow Canadian.
Edit: Dang it, he made the pun himself. Never hitting like until the end of a video now.
i downloaded the Demo, its pretty relaxing,. my kids will love it
This looks sweet! Odd if you like Factorio style games you’ve gotta try out Mindustry. It’s like Factorio mixed with Dome Keeper with more tower defense elements
Lemmings? Looks more like pikmin. Cool playthrough!
Of course I remember the days with Lemmings on my Amiga 1200
these puzzle games often leave me...stumped...🤣

Oh nooOOoo *explodes*. Will be with me forever. I have not played lemmings for atleast 20 years
I've already said it under the first war hospital video. Odd skipping the tutorial just to give viewers a tutorial. I think I want this man to partner up with some game coming out and have it come stock with an odd narrated tutorial. I would love Odd-Tutorials in games become a thing
Lamplighters League came pretty close to this with some of the TH-cam tutorials made by Odd.
Not only played it, was in Dundee in Scotland recently and took a photo of the statue they have there in honour of it being developed in the city!
Lemmings was my jam in school. It was challenging, but fun. This, however, has more of a Pikman vibe in that you go around and toss different creatures to do your work for you.
Lemmings is one of my all-time favourite games, incredible game!
Odd mentions Lemmings! Let's Go!
Yes! yes! Yeah!
I am like 6 minutes in and it's giving Factorio meets Pikmin vibes for me and I'm so interested :O
Cool game! I'm excited to see some reviews on the release version!
Lemmings were awesome… you’re not the only one, Odd ;)
Lemmings was awesome, also kind of reminds me of Pikimin. especially the sounds. Also definitely dig it, play more even able.
I had trouble wrapping my head around Lemmings when I was a kid, but still liked messing around with it.
New sub here.
This is quite a cute game.
Cant wait to see how it progresses.
Oh gosh I need lemmings in my life again
I do remember Lemmings. I have played the game since Super Nintendo game system was released.
I loved lemmings, but it's really old 😂 (age indication)
Lemmings was a GOAT! And this reminds me more of pikmin
- if you send 3 sparks to harvest small tree they will gather all resources right away and harvest faster too (each spark can only pick up 1 resource and small tree gives 3 wood)
- if you leave the screen too quickly while sparks still gather resources they will stop gathering them and teleport to you
Thank you for showing this, it'll be a lot of fun to play this together with my boyfriend!
25:00 - You can see some Sparks getting turned back because the Shrine is saturated. No need to saturate the path :T
Lemmings was one of my favourite games on the old Amiga.
If this was truly like lemmings, they'd run off in some direction as soon as they were created. 😛
Reminds me of Pikmin, though, especially with how you toss them at things.
I loved Lemmings!!! Played that for hours at a time LOL
Omg, lemmings was fun but also tough on some levels. Was one of the best cartridge games!
Lemmings was so fun, i loved it
This is a cross of pikmin and automation. You even throw sparks like how you threw pikmins at things for them to do stuff (fight, harvest, etc). The only thing Lemming-like is that they walk a path forever, just like how Lemmings did.
lemming ++1 love your work
Of course Lemmings is a golden classic! :)
Lemmings is just a bit too old for me to have picked up, but not some of my cousins. It's a testament to how good the game was that I still remember playing it with them... once... at least two decades ago.
lemmings is what brought me to this video XD
I vote you officially call it Odd-o-mating. "Typical me-move." xD idk what that'd be i haven't seen you do a ton of automation games, so idk what the proclivities are, but it'd be funny to adopt that. lol
Lemmings is my childhood 😮
EDIT: Ok, it is less lemmings, more Pikmin or Overlord, which are also great.
I remember Lemmings but I was terrible at it.
I've definitely played lemmings... if I recall correctly... it's been a few years ;)
Lemmings was great 👍💯
I loved Lemmings.. I didnt have a computer then, so I went and played at the local Radio Shack on their display computer. :)
Loved lemmings when i was a kid
Yes lemming very good🤙
Played the heck out of that in my younger days.
Loved lemmings for dos fond memories of loading videogames via multiple floppies on my dad's pc. Dated 35 year old gamer.
Yes, I've played Lemmings, most of the classic music i hum I've learned from that game XD
factorio, lemmings, and pikmin all rolled into one
lemmings, my goodness the ID just fell out of our pockets. great game xD
I really enjoy the graphics and the gameplay
Lemmings? original? right in the childhood... :))
Yeah lemmings was awesome. I missed the 2nd game. I want to try it again
Still have lemmings for my Sega. Don't play it often, but it's there.
I'm dating myself as well. Lemmings was the first computer game I ever played in the basement of my computer programer uncle's house ~33 years ago.
Lemming was the best!
