I played this demo and immediately wishlisted it. It’s a clever game, has a great art style, and it it somehow manages to hide a factory game under the covers.
This one is high on my wishlist. It looks fun and I love the art style. My worry is the late game optimization when you have a thousand or more spark running around.
Oooh, Pikmin is already one of my favorite franchises with a gameplay style that has so much potential in the hands of an indie dev, and Factorio is probably one of my favorite (and most-played) games; mixing the two sounds like a beautiful idea.
@@PotatoMcWhiskey Not sure if you have played recent versions of Factorio, but in the current version, they are just obstacles to expansion. In older versions, they used to drop alien artifacts for use in science packs, but that entire mechanic has been replaced with the endgame rocket launch, so they are entirely optional now. At this point, the game is more about optimizing the factory than about combat against the natives. Plus, there are multiple settings that can disable biter expansion, and set them to passive until attacked, so you can still use all that sweet military science to kill some bugs when you need/want to, without them constantly harassing your base.
The factory portion of this is surely inspired by an old webgame (can't remember the name despite all my googling). It was a multiplayer factory game with little minions that could only turn one way on a path. Was fun, but I can't seem to find it these days.
@@samdanmas No. Sadly, I'm old enough to have played those when they were new. Nah, I can't remember the name, but it was about a decade ago, made by some indie game studio, and featured these little yellow blob creatures. They could only turn one way on paths and you built up a factory with them, coop with other players. Was quite fun, but seems to have disappeared without a trace.
I understand you in not caring about narrative I mean, i care about narrative, but if game allows massacre and war crimes, but it has no reasons for them, im still in
With all due respect Mr PotatoMcwhiskey, perhaps you should WIN at the Terra Invicta game instead of doing a subpar impression of Splattercat. Just a thought, xoxo

You've probably had a thousand people tell you already, but you can turn the bugs off in Factorio! They are completely optional if you want!
I know but the game was designed around them

Love to see you love a game! It looks like a lot of fun and has a pleasant atmosphere to it 😊
Man I would love this game for the Switch. I don't have a steam deck but this might just be the reason I buy one.
I really loved Tinykin and this seems just as cute and awesome!
I think i would enjoy a Potato Playthrough whenever the game releases. Which i think is Soonish?
So tech tree is hiding behind the quest tree? Interesting and charming game this.
For a second there, I thought PotatoMcWhiskey was STUMPED!

Is it the Lemmings game? Heard another youtuber talk about it in his demo playthrough.

Its like a kingdom of keflings or whatever that xbox classic was called.
If you liked Factorio and don't want to deal with mobs, you should try Satisfactory.
It is a crime you made this video only 30 minutes!!
