I'm scheduled to get an MRI this week and after researching gadolinium, which was mentioned on the consent forms, refused it. I don't know if my doctor will be able to use the MRI without the contrasting agent, but I"m not willing to risk having it administered after learning that it's inherently toxic.

It's true. My wife had an MRI and we tested for metals 8 months later. She is off the charts with gadolinium. I researched this and it all comes back to her MRI. This is why I am reading this thread. What a terrible system. We do an MRI and didn't know we were harming her.

I was scheduled for an MRI yesterday, had the IV inserted and everything, and was really upset with myself because I had a panic response and couldn't do the test, but now I'm so grateful because I'm reading all these reports about Gadolinium and even burns from the MRI. I'm SO ANGRY that my doctor recommended this test (it's not necessary in my situation, just helpful) and that the hospital and techs were so nonchalantly going to expose me to this stuff without my knowledge.

Peripheral Nerve Stimulation or PNS is a fairly uncommon side effect of Magnetic gradient fields, Basically when the mri machine creates the picture it uses Gradient coils which are metal coils imbedded in the bore of the machine to alter the magnetic strength in a linear fashion to localise the signal. When the coils have a electronic current sent through them they are intermittently turned on and off very quickly which has been proven to cause stimulation in nerves in the human body.

I wonder if like other toxins from other injections, if having mthfr gene mutuation may also be linked to inability to effectively detox this toxic heavy metal? So people with that are more at risk of injury.

no. is a metal so it's a physical thing. like the metal is so heavy it physically deposits into your body forever. it's got nothing to do with that kind of metabolism. what's happening is the most basic type of poisoning . it's the same way lead or other metals poison.
