My GI FNP ordered MRI's for me WITH (gadolinium) and WITHOUT dye. I already knew about the danger of gadolinium, and voiced my concerns with the radiology nurse, she assured me it was 'very safe & effect, for me not to worry'. Well I DO worry, and I will gladly get an MRI without contrast but I refuse to get gadolinium injected into my body. I'm already in a weakened state....I don't need to make things worse.
You are amazing. For my minor headaches and my moms history of strokes I feel safe NOT getting this . Risk Vs exposure . I am instead focusing and have been on all the healthy eating and exercise my mom did not do to mitigate any stroke risk. I’m healthy and no need to take a gamble like this on our brains ! Wow thank you so much for speaking the truth
Thank you for this. I had a severe reaction to contrast dye and this is the first time I have heard anyone talk about the dangers and the things that can help.
Thanks so much for this info. I'm have to get MRI with contrast to regularly to follow up after pituitary adenoma. So contrast is necessary according to my Neuro Surgeon. And so are the regular MRIs. At least I have a strategy now to reduce risk by trying to help my body chelate and detox from this stuff. Prohance is the contrast that my hospital uses. Some of the agents you mentioned I have already been using so I'm happy to have confirmation from an MD with your experience. God bless you, Doc!
Good choice. When they read and handed me the disclaimer to sign before the MRI, I felt very nervous and walked out. The clerk told me that many people walk out after reading it.
Grrrrr. I had to do some research to find out what had caused my problems caused BY the MRI with contrast. Doctors and techs all said no problem, nothing to worry about. WHY didn't they tell me upfront the negative possibilities!!??? Thank you so much for taking the time to explain the risks, those who MIGHT be at risk, and just the fact that It's VERY DIFFICULT to find out anything from the "specialists" who SHOULD be explaining this! AND why isn't there an alternative available?
Can you do one on the iodine contrast for CT? I have to have this done for a heart valve issue, Dr. insist he needs the dye, I've heard this one is less evasive, safer than the MRI dye. Thanks
Thanks, had it already, didn't notice any symptoms and actually due to some post surgery issues, had it again, so twice now, but would still love to see a video on it. Thanks @@willrock8194
Gadolinium ruined my nervous system. I had a lot of other symptoms, but my main one is muscle twitching 24/7. I have healthy kidneys and reatained alot. Dtpa, edta, osr#1, hopo, and niacin sauna protocol is the best way to get it out.
Hello, for a loved one like DTPA is not authorized for the public but only for the military (this is what a professor of rare diseases said). The professor prescribed SUCCIMER / SUCCICAPTAL 200mg capsule: 4 capsules at 8 a.m., 4 at noon and 4 at midnight for 5 days then 4 morning and evening for 14 days. I would like to point out that this professor, like the entire medical world in France, has no knowledge of the reality of GDD. For them only people with renal insufficiency can develop systemic nephrogenic fibrosis because of gadolinuim. The medical concept of Gadolinium Deposit Disease does not exist, they are late and people are slowly dying of this disease in silence without care. He has had no blood or urine tests...nothing before
Is there anyway that the symptoms are quantified? Brain fog, cognitive impairment, etc? And how are the symptoms correlated to the administration of gbca, more specifically with later on set symptoms (years after administration), but also in general? How often is “sometimes” in regards to the dissociation of gadolinium from the ligand molecule thus depositing into tissue in the body? I would also like to know your take on macrocyclic vs linear agents. Just for background, I am an MRI tech simply seeking to dispel of any ambiguity considering the lack of evidence we have for any correlation between symptoms that are difficult to quantify and gadolinium dosage which can be hard to track considering different ligand molecules and multiple doses. There is also resoundingly little data to pick from that may contradict other studies or have very small sample sizes.
I'll NEVER have another one. If there is a chance that this is what has caused me so many problems, I can suggest you DO NOT get an MRI w contrast. And you have no legal standing if you are injured. Too bad, so sad.
I already have brain fog because of a vestibular schwanoma. Going in tomorrow for mri with contrast this time. Won’t let them do it again unless I need surgery or radiation
Great information. I wish I had this info prior to MRI in 2020 where I received this gadolinium for a lesion. I had done this procedure in 2019 without ill side effects. In 2020 after the procedure I had tinnitus which I still have. I would love to have some therapies to chelate this substance out of my body. Since Covid I take NAC daily along with other supplements . Thank you for your insight you have given.
I just had a CT scan and an MRI yesterday, and i never had them prior, I wasn't aware of the problems gadolidium can cause, I didn't drink water before the scans, And, Shortly after the scan while still in the ER, I peed a lot, I'm not sure if I cleared it all out, And wasn't able to get access to water until about 2 hours after the scans, After that I want to say I drank about 5 to 6 cups and urinated about 4-5 times after leaving the hospital Am i all clear?
Dr. I have had chronic pericarditis for the past 2 years post covid vax. My body can’t tolerate NSAIDs anymore and I’m really really struggling. I have this cardiac MRI w and w/o contrast coming up. I don’t know if I should do it or not. Please give me some advice off the record if possible. Thank you.
Is it commin or normal to have a pituitary MRI with and without cobtrast after have a lab cone back with high prolactin levels? This was the first step and action taken after the physician saw the labs. This was seen after doing labs with a fertility physician. Thank you.
I have a high school friend going in for a full body MRI & am almost positive (since he had a stroke in his spinal column centered in neck) that they will be using this on him. His wife told me they are looking for "the place" to put a shunt. He has had no PT & has very little movement. I feel kinda scared for them..

I did exactly the same!!!!
Thank you for discussing the risk! None of this was discussed with me.

Thanks Dr Dave...
I have avoided gadolinium and will continue to do so as long as I physically can
This is giving me so much anxiety. I am having an MRI in January to rule out a brain tumor but think I’ll pass based on this video.
Good choice. When they read and handed me the disclaimer to sign before the MRI, I felt very nervous and walked out. The clerk told me that many people walk out after reading it.
Thank you Dr Dave !
I would love to see a video on ct scan contrast. I was severely injured from that

I so greatly appreciate the knowledge and information you share with Dr. Dave. I so wish your office was closer to me. Rochester, NY
He does see patients virtually...just FYI. Enjoy your day.
Thank you, Doctor.

Thank you for the info! Would you give similar recommendations for processing the contrast material that’s used in CT imaging?

have you recovered from toxicity? how many mri have you done
@Neela Kuyile I'm getting better, it's been a slow process. I still have muscle twitching though.
@@dallascutlass1811 ok thanks for your reply what you done for your recovery?
@Neela Kuyile I've done about 20 Ivs of edta, have taken osr#1, done several sauna sessions with niacin

MRI machines can be very loud and cause tinnitus. Did you wear hearing protection?

Hello did you do the mri? With or without the gadolinium? Please
im in the same boat...no contrast for me however! No more damn vaccines or needles, my "Trustometer" is on 0
Cvd.1.9 dumbness.
What about yearly MRI of 11-year breast cancer survivor with no current disease. Is this screening worth it? Age 65.
Could you please tell me if contrast is needed for a cardiac mri, to check for fibrosis or myocarditis after de cv19 vax?
Will a drip after a CT scan help ? I have stage 3 ckd.
I have a MRI in two weeks I’m terrified of unknown life changing risks. Not happening.
They should do tests with cilantro / chlorella combination to determine if it's effective at pulling it out.
"Wow"..... That's an official medical term.

Yes it's quite common. I'm an MRI tech and that is one of the most common reasons to do a brain/pituitary MRI
I got the clariscan 0.5 ml injection during MRI in my veins. Is it safe, as i dont know.. please someone tell me?
Problem is you doctors ER kept insisting on it and got angry with me for saying no. I had to sign something saying ok to cat scan with no contrast
I have an mri coming up and was told because they are looking for cancer or what may be causing my headache that they need the contrast
Is this so
don't do it

Hopefully, they will ask for the risks vs benefit information.
There are no chelating agents that can remove Gadolinium out of the body, yet!
