What I love about this show is when I see that scene its super easy to see it as Homelander representing old school Republicans where they don't really disagree enough to say anything but also feel at least a little uncomfortable with how loud she's saying the quiet part. Literally "well I don't disagree with you exactly but man it sounds bad when you put it like that" energy.
@@Pragabond I get what you mean. Its almost like they are currently a bad person but they are not too far gone in that regard. Racism is taught so people like that have to go against what they were taught their whole life.
The scenes with Homelander talking to Ryan are amazing. They add so much depth to Homelander's character. It doesn't take away from the fact that he is a monster, but it shows that there are a few sparks of humanity left within him still. Makes you wonder who could have been, if he'd been raised differently. In a way, it makes his story an awfully sad one.
THIS. This show does a good job of making most of their characters 3-dimensional and not just stereotypical 2D cardboard cutouts. Obviously to varying effect but Homelander's tragic background and actually having him have real love for Ryan makes his character better, overall, and much worse, since we know that he could be a better person since the humanity is actually there.
@@teunvanderveen6477 Yup, you can tell he has genuine love for his son and that he wants to give him the love her never got. Homelander is insanely evil, obviously, but I love that they made his not ONLY evil.
@@tastyneckYeah the best way to put it for me is every main character is human and has depth. It makes it hard to really even decide on a favorite. Homelander 100% has to go but when you know his history you're going to feel pretty hollow putting him down. No hurray the villain is dead you'll just be left with this didn't have to happen You raised him in a sterile cold lab of course you ended up with a monster you idiots.
William Butcher is the absolute fucking best! As usual he is amazing in this episode. Him yelling for help gets me every time. Both the acting of Anthony Starr and Karl Urban were tremendous.
Since Stormfront was the wife of Frederick Vought, she could have inherited his shares of the company. This might have been the reason Stan Edgar couldn’t make any moves against her
I love the moment of Homelander reacting to Stormfronts white genocide comment 😂. Shows a difference that Homelander doesn't seem to hate certain humans over others, he just views all humans as less scum.
A-Train is helping the group, but not because it's the right thing to do. He just wants to get back into the Seven, so A-Train's motives were never pure.
That was a VERY entertaining Reaction Video, Lexi! Like the rest of us, it took You through the full gamut of emotions! YOU were the only person to date that called the church collective's leader's head exploding though! Lol The 2 most gratifying words in the first two Seasons of the boys..."Hey Kraut!" Go Maeve!! See You again for Season 3!!
If Ryan had practiced his powers like Homelander wanted him to, he could have successfully protected or saved his mom. In a way Rebecca brought it upon herself, she was too focused on Ryan not being a a super like Homelander, that she failed to realize she could have raised a real hero.
"... the congress woman Malory was working with, she was really scared when it was happening ... " Well :) Love all your The Boys videos! Do you plan to watch Gen V as well? Gen V is great so far (episode 1-4). I would even say on par with The Boys.
You people are soo ridiculous he was USING FULL POWER like she told him too! He couldn’t hurt her and she kicked him threw a wall that’s why he feel for her because she was just as strong if not stronger 🙄
@@strangerthings88 He wasn't trying to kill her, it's been shown before that he can control his beams. And she didn't tell him to use full power she said "Laser my t1ts"

*If you go back, after the deputy director’s head was popped, the direct next scene is of Victoria speaking on the news. Very subtle but genius*
And that happened immediately after Hughie asking if the Bous knew who could do that
I love how even Homelander was like "wtf" when stormfront was talking to ryan about her "ideology" lmao

The "girls get it done" scene is one of the most satisfying I've ever seen. Seeing the women give Stormfront the beatdown was just the best.

He was actually being a good dad this episode. I love the shot of homelander watching tv and drinking milk with his son

Is there a Cherry Flavored Fresca?? To emphasize the Head Popping Scene of the Cult leader taking one last sip.

I am pretty sure Homelander can control power of his beams, unlike Ryan

You were referring to Victoria Newman, Congresswoman speaking out against the Homelander. Another adorable reaction and I look forward to your next.

The song at the end was the Beach Boys, not the Beatles.

It;s not that Homelander couldn't pierce Stormfront with his beams, it's that he didn't use a lot of power. He can control the intensity of it
