The vintage USA Schrade stuff is so underrated . It’s the biggest part of my collection . The #5 pattern Schrade is so much like the Sod Buster Jr. it’s basically identical except the Schrades we’re all lockbacks .
Man they did it up right when they did that one! Such a great knife man! That’s a nice piece you got from BigJ! He’s a class act . Thanks for sharing and comparing!

I dont order online so I don't have this one yet but if I find one out in any stores I plan to get it. I have quite a few vintage Old Timers and love them but I carry a China made 5OT everyday to work. I need that USA carbon steel version. Thanks for sharing.
Great video and content. I love all my Old Timers and think this Bear and Sons is also nice but not an Old Timer. I’m a traditionalist and Old Timers are Schrades. Comparable to a Case Sodbuster Jr yes but not in the same Fenway Park😂
