I started playing this game a month after release, and after watching the recap in the video I realized how bad this was at launch and why a lot of people shitted on this gamemode. I must admit, i was kinda wrong defending it, but in fairness now it’s definitely playable and I really hope to see you come back to treyarch zombie. Btw i think Voyage is great, but BOTD is fucking shit, you’re right about that

I love the story and I love the games however some of it was very poorly done on treyarc’s part.... mostly in relation to some of the zombies cut scenes. The characters look VERY fake, the way they talk the way they move, the way they talk to one another... I’m surprised that treyarc didn’t notice these flaws before releasing. They probably rushed it.
Shaw was just as oblivious to Bruno killing him aswell... “what are you doing!?” Huh, I wonderrrr. For someone who made it through multiple zombie onslaughts... that was pretty stupid of you Shaw.
The Odden actually i found people greatly overhate this step. On solo yeah its kind of annoying but thats about it. Its not trying to translate morse code,your just holding a button down for a while. A tad bit akward but i personally think its ok.

For the dig pile step, I always shoot a charged shot out of range of my zombies to see what it is. You can't get the same effect if one is already active so it's an annoying, yet doable work around.
Man. I didn't want to get Dead of the Night when it released. Then the directors cut dead of the night trailer came out. I bought the Black ops pass a few days after. I don't know why I love those trailers, but they honestly make me like Black ops 4 sooo much. P.s Amazing Video as always my dood.
Literally just completed the DotN EE on my first attempt tonight. I wasnt a huge fan of the map before (hence why its taken me so long) but after doing it its really made me like the map a lot more. Before it was one of the worst on BO4 but now its my top 2.
It’s interesting. The more you play the map, the more you get a feel for it and all that’s within it. And then the more you learn to like it, love it even.
I actually really love Voyage of Despair. Keep in mind I'm a causal zombies fan so maybe what I look for isn't the same as a hardcore fan. But I love the claustrophobic unique layout, themeing and atmosphere.
Rizzo, man i would absolutely LOVE to see you cover the other two chaos maps. Maybe classified too but as a whole im personally more interested in the chaos story and maps these days than Aether. Also hoping you end up loving ancient evil so you can make a review on it It was a real bummer seeing one of my favorite zombies TH-camrs tear Bo4 to shreds, but seeing your change of opinions recently has been very satisfying for me, i love knowing at a time when this community is being toxic assholes left and right you're just off doing your own thing enjoying playing and talking about video games, its a simple life. So in short i would love to see more bo4 from you (specifically the chaos story) and keep up the good work as always!
I love this man because he gives his thoughts on the maps and I don't have enough money for most maps now so it's so fun to watch him giving thoughts gameplay and to see if I should actually get the map when I get the money also sorry this is so long
Hands down my favorite map of this game, and the second best dlc1 map next to Ascension. Also, on the topic of catalyst zombies, I’ve noticed that their numbers have been heavily reduced due to the vampires.
Firstly nice to see another video from you in this style, I do hope we see another Black Ops 4 video one day. Secondly I was kinda meh on this map, mainly coz I haven't brought the Black Ops Pass yet so haven't been able to play it, and it didn't look to me like it did anything spectacular or anything offensively wrong. After seeing this video, I am now seeing the value the map has, I do like it, not gonna go down as my favourite of all time mainly because of the difficulty and enemy balance, but I really do see the positives in it, and I actually really liked the ending cutscene, flaws aside, it was cool and that beheading was more intense than the one in Nine, great stuff. Thirdly it's sad to hear you're not a fan of Blood.... Like at all. I know the map has issues but I really enjoyed the story, the egg is annoying but I've done it at least 5 times and find some fun in it, the Katana is the best, I love the Magmagat, and that ending broke me, which is a first for Cod Zombies. But hey, to each to their own, I just hope the last two Aether maps we get are awesome and you like them, because when watching your Black Ops 3 videos it's obvious to me how much you love Aether and I want a good ending for it as much as you probably do
I like how people in WW2 said The tortured path was the worst thing ever, but gauntlet and rush in BO4 is the greatest innovation in zombies even though its the same thing
At first, I wasn’t a fan of chaos zombies. As a long time player of zombies, I had played BO3 zombies to the max, getting Easter eggs on every map and going through the storyline that I had grown to love. But, after seeing the IX trailer, I thought the concept of a gladiator map looked awesome. So I ended up playing the fuck out of those maps, specifically IX. Dead of the night was awesome to me, and Godfrey was now one of my favorite characters, Although I had played the maps, I hadn’t cared about the storyline. Dead of the night, and now especially Ancient Evil, put me in love with the story. The Easter eggs were phenomenal, and the maps were very fun to play, and original. They were unique, and made a storyline we had never seen. And I love it. I love every part of it. Too bad we have to wait over three more years, however for more chaos maps, sadly
Funny thing about the alistar's folly steps, you also need the 3 shield parts for the bookshelf step so you really need 16 seperate parts to fully upgrade it.

I bet I'm alone with this, but I miss that Crimson Nosferatus used to be immune to the wonder weapon's charge shot. It devalues the threat of this enemy type down to the same as a normal Nosferatu, being able to take them out just as easily. If you are doing the bedroom camping Strat, you won't even notice them unless they get caught in a tornado. I like the idea of this rare threat that you have to approach differently, and bringing back this immunity is the perfect way to do so.

The pap quest is not hard at all. 1. Is always a clock in and they are in the same areas (there are only 3) 2. Is always a perk which is easy to find by the symbols above the door in the grnad hall. 3. And the last one is always an onbject where a ghost will escort you to the part. The objects never chnage locations and after a few games you understand pretty much where eveything is. Just like a normal zombies map.
So Ancient Evil looks good. If that map turns out to be as good as I hope it would be, then a review on that would be great. Also since you like IX, maybe you should do a review on it if you’re up to it. Love your content dude!
Rizzo, I (and I know tons of others) would love to see you cover the other BO4 maps. You put that extra work into your videos compared to others. You don't do a "Hey guys, welcome back, it's ya' boy, absolutely butt fuck that Subscribe button" with 10 minutes of improvisation, but you actually write a well written script to make it entertaining and worked out from start to finish. Your editing is top notch too, and your points are always valid, and you recognize if your points come from other subjective sources. Therefore, it's always such a joy to watch your reviews. I had a blast during the WW2 DLC season. Don't feel forced or anything (especially not with Blood as you dislike it so much, haha) but if you want to, we'd love to hear your thoughts on IX, Classified, and Voyage! :) For reference, a super-quick-my-thoughts-on-the-map segment: I love everything about Voyage except that it has too little features. The Kraken is amazing, atmosphere is perfect, map layout is great once you learn it. IX is very friendly to everyone and has a great design both visually and map-wise, but I'm burnet out on it personally and I think it has way too many mini bosses. Classified is FIVE in and out except for the new Area 51 addition, which I really appreciate. However, the Pentagon thief is missed. Thanks for the vid, Rizzo!
Rizzo, please do Voyage of Dispair!!! I love your reviews and have watched every single one. Love the style you do with these videos. Also, would you every consider doing mini reviews for each Gauntlet?
You forgot about the three other items for the ghost lady step for pack-a-punch. Them being: The noose in the wine cellar, The last will and testament in the library, and The doll in the entrance hall. These also tell a story of their own and add a bit more back story to the ghost’s life working in the manor.
It's strange at launch Voyage of Despair was my least favorite map but as more updates came along I think it's my favorite now. Once I actually gave the map a chance and tried to learn the map it wasn't it was fun having a big map plus all the Easter Eggs on the map make the map more fun to replay then the others.
Honestly, anything in this style people will love. Whether that be more Halo, more Zombies or something entirely different. More content like this is always welcome.

I would actually quite like to see a review on Voyage of Despair. It was honestly my personal favourite of the launch maps. Although I know the map is flawed, I can't help but loving it, and I'd like to see your take on it... Since you actually like WW2 so you clearly know the good stuff.
I would love to hear your thoughts on voyage. Originally, it was my most hyped map, then the game came out, and I found it underwhelming. However, after having my hands on bo4 for a while, I learned to like voyage. It’s my 2nd fave bo4 map. Funny enough only beat by dead of the night.
Nixaru and Rizzo are my favorite Zombie youtubers. MrRoflWaffles is a close second, but his videos are a tad too long-winded. I don't even play Black Ops 4, but im still a long-time zombies fan, and these guys give me the fix I need
I really liked how you used ww2 as a reference point and Comparison to bo4, not many people even consider ww2 to be even close to bo4 which is sad because it was an extremely great zombies title.

Love your vid as usual man. I didn't think we were going to get a bo4 video considering what happened at released but I'm glad you enjoyed this map. I really had a blast on release of dotn and I wish it got the ancient evil publicity treatment. In terms of video ideas I would love to see something similar to glitches positive highlights maybe add some extremely tiny bit picks in between to balance it out haha.
To me personally all of your complaints in regards to the difficulty in steps to unlock parts, seems easy. Me and my friend working as a team can have the map opened and ready for the Easter egg really quickly. This map is a cakewalk in comparison to DER Eisendrache steps to get the bows or the Easter egg steps for that matter.
I totally agree with you on the anialator step where you have to get the zombie to did. What you didn't mention also is even if you have the zombie in the "right spot" and shoot the yellow mist it doesn't always guarantee that the zombie will actually dig. It's finiky a lot of times. Also they really need to chill on the amount of special zombies that spawn in at one time. I'm getting WWII vibes from this game.
OK, sorry for replying to this 5 years later, but I'm not sure if you know of this for that step. I want to clear up the biggest misconception about it. If you have already found out about it, please let me know! For that step, it is RNG only for the sites alone; it's a 1/3 chance, but generally, it's not too much of a hassle if you know the more consistent spot. The biggest misconception comes with how it feels more RNG than it is. It feels like it's not guaranteed when you shoot the appropriate charged shot because of where you shoot it. Try shooting the zombie in front of you instead; it's 100% going to work regardless. They coded it to where you need to shoot your target to get it, and not an AOE random encounter. It's slightly dumb because of how poorly communicated the step is and by other TH-camrs who don't have an updated guide to this map. I hope this helps whenever you play the map again, as it is my favorite.
Damn I'm waiting for the next map and rizzo has a new zombies review that includes changes since his last video. I was like this during ww2 and idk why but you just know how to interest and get me wanting to play more than I want to admit.
I see Rizzo complaining about how sometimes the enemy variety can be overwhelming but if you ask me I love that extra sense of chaos but I can definitely see why people don’t like it

To be fair, I like The Tortured Path but I also love Rush. Gauntlet, in my opinion, fucking sucks.

Rizzo, I (and I know tons of others) would love to see you cover the other BO4 maps. You put that extra work into your videos compared to others. You don't do a "Hey guys, welcome back, it's ya' boy, absolutely butt fuck that Subscribe button" with 10 minutes of improvisation, but you actually write a well written script to make it entertaining and worked out from start to finish. Your editing is top notch too, and your points are always valid, and you recognize if your points come from other subjective sources. Therefore, it's always such a joy to watch your reviews. I had a blast during the WW2 DLC season. Don't feel forced or anything (especially not with Blood as you dislike it so much, haha) but if you want to, we'd love to hear your thoughts on IX, Classified, and Voyage! :)
For reference, a super-quick-my-thoughts-on-the-map segment: I love everything about Voyage except that it has too little features. The Kraken is amazing, atmosphere is perfect, map layout is great once you learn it. IX is very friendly to everyone and has a great design both visually and map-wise, but I'm burnet out on it personally and I think it has way too many mini bosses. Classified is FIVE in and out except for the new Area 51 addition, which I really appreciate. However, the Pentagon thief is missed.

The Dead of the night cutscenes (especially the ending) was soo SFM.
This was legit my 1st though when I saw it 1st time.
You forgot about the three other items for the ghost lady step for pack-a-punch. Them being: The noose in the wine cellar, The last will and testament in the library, and The doll in the entrance hall. These also tell a story of their own and add a bit more back story to the ghost’s life working in the manor.
It's strange at launch Voyage of Despair was my least favorite map but as more updates came along I think it's my favorite now. Once I actually gave the map a chance and tried to learn the map it wasn't it was fun having a big map plus all the Easter Eggs on the map make the map more fun to replay then the others.

I would actually quite like to see a review on Voyage of Despair. It was honestly my personal favourite of the launch maps. Although I know the map is flawed, I can't help but loving it, and I'd like to see your take on it... Since you actually like WW2 so you clearly know the good stuff.

I would love to hear your thoughts on voyage. Originally, it was my most hyped map, then the game came out, and I found it underwhelming. However, after having my hands on bo4 for a while, I learned to like voyage. It’s my 2nd fave bo4 map. Funny enough only beat by dead of the night.

I really liked how you used ww2 as a reference point and Comparison to bo4, not many people even consider ww2 to be even close to bo4 which is sad because it was an extremely great zombies title.

Love your vid as usual man. I didn't think we were going to get a bo4 video considering what happened at released but I'm glad you enjoyed this map. I really had a blast on release of dotn and I wish it got the ancient evil publicity treatment.
In terms of video ideas I would love to see something similar to glitches positive highlights maybe add some extremely tiny bit picks in between to balance it out haha.
Story wise, DOTN was before VOD and IX so really it should have been the starting map on BO4

To me personally all of your complaints in regards to the difficulty in steps to unlock parts, seems easy. Me and my friend working as a team can have the map opened and ready for the Easter egg really quickly.
This map is a cakewalk in comparison to DER Eisendrache steps to get the bows or the Easter egg steps for that matter.
Treyarch should put this amount of lore effort in future maps

I totally agree with you on the anialator step where you have to get the zombie to did. What you didn't mention also is even if you have the zombie in the "right spot" and shoot the yellow mist it doesn't always guarantee that the zombie will actually dig. It's finiky a lot of times. Also they really need to chill on the amount of special zombies that spawn in at one time. I'm getting WWII vibes from this game.
OK, sorry for replying to this 5 years later, but I'm not sure if you know of this for that step. I want to clear up the biggest misconception about it. If you have already found out about it, please let me know! For that step, it is RNG only for the sites alone; it's a 1/3 chance, but generally, it's not too much of a hassle if you know the more consistent spot. The biggest misconception comes with how it feels more RNG than it is. It feels like it's not guaranteed when you shoot the appropriate charged shot because of where you shoot it. Try shooting the zombie in front of you instead; it's 100% going to work regardless. They coded it to where you need to shoot your target to get it, and not an AOE random encounter. It's slightly dumb because of how poorly communicated the step is and by other TH-camrs who don't have an updated guide to this map. I hope this helps whenever you play the map again, as it is my favorite.
Damn I'm waiting for the next map and rizzo has a new zombies review that includes changes since his last video. I was like this during ww2 and idk why but you just know how to interest and get me wanting to play more than I want to admit.
My nitpick of this map is that Godfrey is just an edited Richtofen model.
