    What accessories have you added to your crash bars??

    Thank you. Because of this video and your recommendation I purchased and installed the Givi crash bars on my Multistrada V4s.👍😎

      Did you have any trouble with the upper bolt on the left side? The bolt that it provides is an M8 size bolt but the instructions call for an M10. Went to the hardware store to try a M10 and it’s too snug. All other boosts fit perfectly. Maybe it needs an M9. Baffled if the instructions are wrong.

    Definitely add the Clearwaters well worth it small company but customer friendly. Always get compliments on mine for my 2013 Multi plus they light the way on my dark roads here in GA. Never had an issue with them. Thwy mount to everything plug and play no splicing. They will send the yellow and clear lens. I rock the yellow lens and every since install virtually no one has pulled out in front of me. Friends say they see me miles away with the low beam on. Perfect just do it. Great videos.

    Great video! I am looking to buy the same givi crash bars for my new Multi V4S GT. What is the torque spec of that big screw you mentioned breaking on the video? Also, are the Givi bars and fasteners showing any signs of wear or corrosion since your install?

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The torque spec is "snug," realizing you're not really securing anything on the bike.
      So far the bars have held up well, no notable wear or corrosion of any kind. No drops yet so can't vouch for that level of protection.

    Hi @4kmotoring, wonderful instructions. I came about your video after attempting installing givi engine guard. When I removed the 12mm frame bolts on the left side while on center frame, the frame shifted just as you pointed out. Im unable to get the bolts to align. Any suggestions on how I can go about fixing my mess ?

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a pain, but try loosening all the bolts to allow a little wiggle room. Also, be aware that loosening frame bolts while on the center stand can cause significant forces on those frame components.

    • @bharathk0808
      @bharathk0808 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@4KMotoring Thats exactly what has happened. The frame bolt hokes don’t align any more. I cant even put the original frame bolts back in. Would putting the bike on rear swing arm stands help align the frame ?

    The Givi crash bars actually look real nice. They are probably heavier then the Ducati bars, but look like they mount to more points too which is good. That drop was yikes. You got lucky you had the paniers on and the extended handguards. I noticed that you positioned the center stand step on the middle of your shoe and it slipped. I always step on it with the top part of the shoe and it gives me better control and never slipped so far. What decal kit is that ? Looks nice.

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was absolutely a disappointing drop especially after just riding 4000 mi without incident. I really do like the crash guards and it is giving me additional mounting points for lighting that I needed. It was definitely a messed up for me with a fully loaded bike that I've been careful to not make again lol.
      As for the vinyl wrap, I have another video on my channel showing the installation with the link to the products.

    I’m installing the same thing on my 22 pikes Peak. The left side top bolt that mounts closest to the engine will not fit. Did you run into this issue?

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It took me a bit of finessing, I had to work backwards and install that bolt first. Everything ended up working, just be sure to leave it all loose until everything is seated

      @@4KMotoringthanks. So I solved the bolt issue. Just needed to get a 10mm at the hardware store. Now I have a second problem. The dreaded vibration. Any issue with that on yours? Everything is nice and tight. Feel it in my butt and foot pegs. When I reach down and touch the guards, they’re vibrating quite a bit.

    Nice videos i find a lot of things about ducati MS that i was lookin over internet, nice job keep it going. And i have a question for auxiliary light that you have, did you buy a mount or you get them with the bik, i cant find one? and aslo i have denali D3 man they are just great on my tracer 9gt that have very poor lights is like night and day, but i will install them now on my ms v4 also.

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  ปีที่แล้ว

      The lights shown in the video are the Ducati accessory fog lights. They aren't completely absurdly priced but I wouldn't call them the greatest lights out there. I have since added additional lighting and will be putting out a comprehensive video soon!

      Correct, but they have to be activated by the dealership in the bike computer. Uses the button on the right hand grip to activate.

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  ปีที่แล้ว

      I will say that it absolutely should as the overall frame and engine units are the same... I have heard some reports that the bolt sizes between the winglets that attaches the top of the skid plate maybe a different size so you may need to find a different bolt for that application

      I hadn't thought of that before, but never really had an issue like this before. Grip tape is a good idea, I was thinking about engraving the footstep to give it more grip

    Great, great, but you have to change the all factory screws to stainless screws because Givi saving money in this way and they will be rusted as the crash bar itself, after 18 months. ;) Just said. :)

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fasteners seem to be the most disappointing part of any modern motorcycle or motorcycle part. The GV hardware will rust and the Ducati pot metal we'll just strip out
