The one with the superpower of guessing where people are from is also in another CUT video where they have to guess people's languages and she's just as good at that! I think she said that she travels a lot and has met lots of people from all over the world? It's pretty cool tbh

I remember we had this relief teacher once and we asked if she was from New Zealand (I’m in Australia so it was a fair guess), and she spent a good 15 minutes ranting her head off about people getting South Africans confused with New Zealanders, and how they sound nothing alike. She was legitimately terrifying
I thought the whos more African question was weird tbh Africa is diverse there isn’t just one type but also I do get that North Africa is considered part of the Middle East but I don’t think that makes them any less African
When that dude started singing in French I was like oh he’s from (couldn’t remember the name “Ivory Coast”) that- that uh white place… it’s like white and water… what is it!?
as a south african i just wanted to say that the term "coloured" for race isnt problematic here and its actually something that community takes pride in - its a very unique culture that isnt found anywhere else in the world and we're proud about that - loads of people here dont even know that "coloured" is considered derogatory or offensive, and in fact many 'coloured' south africans would be offended if you referred to them as anything but 'coloured' - its become its own race in a way and thats the word for it
Your south African accent sounded like my Afrikaans headmaster from boarding school and threw me violently back into the school hall during one of his many, many rants about how much he hated students wearing headphones so good job
I got the first girl because she said they were famous for earthquakes. I recognized that the second guy's anthem was in French, but I don't know which countries in Africa the French colonized. I genuinely didn't even know there was a country called Tunisia until just now...
As a syrian iraqi i do too... people never get where im from... They get the race/eastern part, they usually guess north african, middle eastern, south asian, mestizo latino, or central asian (as in parts of afghan) It's annoying but nice... plus barely any syrians here so i get it.
I think this is one of the first videos that I watch of you without a feature (I am a huge Jarvis Johnson fan and I think Ive also seen you together with chadchad) and I gotta say, somehow you are even more sympathetic to me here in how you present yourself and just your general attitude ( not even 4 minutes in) than when I saw you around others. I really think you give off good vibes!

Allow me to console you… Last night I was watching some body language expert and I was convinced that he was German through two full videos until he mentioned something about Spanish being his first language. It definitely made more sense because I was truly surprised that his jocularity. Can you imagine a jocular German? Does that count as alliteration? Because it sounds great and I think I’m gonna name my new brew house that. It’s more welcoming than Das Fleidermaus Haus. I also had an cultural anthro teacher from Iraq that I was convinced was German for about eight weeks in a 10 week class. I don’t know if this actually consoles you or if it terrifies you like it does me. Imagine going through life thinking you’re hearing German accents everywhere. Unless you’re actually IN Germany or Austria I guess it just sounds off those alarm bells….
coloured is not an offensive term in South Africa but it is really interesting to watch some people from other countries get awkward & tense when we say it
It’s so funny watching this having watched the Cut video first, knowing that Fatuma is OP and just blowing your mind hahahah Also it’s kinda funny you made the joke about Ilah living at the Cut studio because she and Dae (the Korean guessing guy) have been a good handful of the videos before this one, so it’s almost like they do live there 🤪 But in an entertaining way, we love them
