Every one of the guys does SOMETHING with 16th notes-Tim does, too. I love the way Tomi ran him through his ENTIRE range in this. He sounds fantastic.
I think Tomi was punking us with the bell tones-he’s probably seen the comments where people say “I know it’s Marwan because bell tones.” But his harmonies are so recognizable. I already knew it was Tomi. LOL. Gotta agree-I always have to listen to Tomi’s arrangements multiple times. He always layers so much into his music.
Did you see Marwan eat the rose? So much going on!

This is so good. Can’t get over Tim’s range. They’re all so good and goofy and I love that!

You had the best reaction to this terrific collaboration between the Bass Gang and Tim Foust so far. You noticed the little things…like the really high notes someone was singing in the background as well as the runs or riffs, (I think from Tim?). Loved your reaction!

Just realized that Marwan is beatboxing. What a talent!

One of the (many) things I love about Home Free is their promotion of other bands and artists. They've collaborated with such legends as Kenny Rogers, Charlie Daniels and Alabama among others and promoted talent such as Texas Hill, Maggie Baugh and - in Tim & Austin's side project with other singer/song writer/musicians "Sweet & Low Music Co." - Louisa Marion, Adam Wakefield and other guests.

Listening to Peter Barber, he said those sixteenth bass notes you were talking about were on Tim’s supplied bass track.

This is so much fun. The first time I saw it I started laughing at the first note and never stopped. Great arrangement and great editing. And a great reaction.

How great was that! Love having Tim sing with the Bass Gang. Tim is the growl master but he can also sing high. I have always liked this song done first by the late B.J. Thomas in 1968. It was later done by Jonathan King in 1971 & Blue Swede in 1974 who both added the "ooga chaka" part.

For a Swede, there is only ONE singer for this song. Björn Skifs and his band Blåblus/ Blue Swedes hit nr 1 on Billboard in 1974!!
First written by Mark James on 1968 kr fizzleduntil Björn took it on.
It's been one of my top 5 songs ever, since then, almost 50 years, when I was a young girl. The song was revived again when it was included in Guardians of Galaxy and hit Billboard again. So for my personal part it's hard to replace by new artists, but I fully admit that the 5 of them are getting close. Love all the silliness they're up to. I do love Bass Gang and Casper.
Recommend listening to Björn Skifs's version, just for a comparision. Obviously not acapella. Björn is still performing and whatever he does, he will always be connected with this song.

I would assume with them being bass singers they would naturally try to make an interesting bass line

Yeah, but it was worth pointing out because not all of their arrangements have gone so far with it

Nice camera work and editing. Not so entranced with the arrangement (disclaimer - this song was popular while I was a teen).
