    If you make the rings touch the planet, change the colours and give it an emission shader, and make the planet black, you can make a black hole. Additionally, you can shift +d the rings and rotate them on the x axis by 90 degrees, and cut of the bottom half to make it look even cooler.

    Hey Chris. I see this is an older tutorial. I was looking to see if the project files were for sale. I didn’t notice this one in your packages on the Blender Marketplace. And wondering if those files will work in the latest versions of Blender. Thanks.

    what did I miss? using Eevee, I don't have the planet shadow onto the rings (and vice versa), but if I switch to cycles, I do. Otherwise, looks awesome!

    Love your Tutorials man...!! Awesome Stuff. Only a Small Question Instead of using a Sphere and deleting a bunch of polygons to get that flat plane Why not use a Circle and Insert the Edges to get the same exact result but with less steps 🤔

    • @CBaileyFilm
      @CBaileyFilm  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Doing it my with the sphere just means you don't have to unwrap the UV's yourself. But your method would work too, just make sure your UV's are lined up in a straight line and not in a circle.

    23:21 I wish you showed us how to set up the scene with the lighting. I’ve tried many, many times and can’t get it right. Any tips?

    • @ScopeKing1994
      @ScopeKing1994 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      He did....what specs are you running with? I would focus on replicating the fundamentals of 3D appose to the exact final render. My lighting doesn't match his either, but I figured color composition would be good to practice given how quick this was. I did a twin star system with an asteroid belt using Triadic colors.
