Few things again :D
- She-Hulk's hypers are interactive. That one with the dive-kick has 3 parts where you press forward quarter-circle S 2 times after inputting it.
- For Vergil's super where the swords spin around him, you can do two more inputs that have the swords circle and pointed at the opponent.
- Frank West's level-up system boosts almost every single one of his stats. It also changes what weapons he uses. Frank can go all the way up to Level 5, where he can use chainsaws and deadlier weapons than plungers. Also his second super's weapons change too.
- Fun Fact: On the stage where Tron is in the background, she won't be there if she's fighting.
- The Hyper where Hsien-Ko turns golden is her getting temporary super armor. It's actually worse than you think, since the super armor negates combo-scaling.
- Spencer is from Capcom's beat-em-up Bionic Commando. Also his Bionic Arm super is not only famously meta, but it has super armor.
- Taskmaster's first hyper has directional specific inputs. Depending on which two buttons you press, the direction of his super changes.
- Another Fun Fact: Super Skrull was Capcom and Marvel's idea to essentially add the entire Fantastic Four into one character.
- For Strider's second hyper, stand back and spam Light.
- If you change Phoenix Wright's voice from Japanese to English, his speech bubble attacks change to English too.
- If you don't hold H while doing Akuma's first hyper, it'll shoot multiple Hadokens instead of a large beam.
- About that thing you accidentally did with Spider-man where he was glowing: It's called a Snap-Back. All characters can do it. It's where you involuntarily switch out the opponent's character for the cost of a meter. Forward quarter-circle + Assist.
- Phoenix Wright has 3 mods: Investigation Mode where he finds evidence, Trial Mode where he uses evidence, and Turnabout mode where he convicts you.
- Third Fun Fact: Phoenix Wright is the second worst character in the game, until you get into Turnabout Mode and he becomes the second best.
- For Phoenix Wright's second super, if you have any bad evidence when you use it, it'll get rid of the evidence whilst sending you back to Investigation Mode.
- Final Fun Fact: Phoenix Wright's Level 3 breaks X-Factor. If you use his Level 3 with X-Factor, it can KO almost every character in the game on full health.
Also: few things you missed last episode.
- Amaterasu's second super slows the opponent down.
- The music that plays when a matches start is a character theme. The theme that plays when you start belongs to the opening character of Player 2, all other themes after that belong to the next character to come in after one has been downed.
Another fun fact: Felicia is a pop star AND a nun. Out of all of the Darkstalker characters, she's easily the most friendly and good-natured character.
He also missed the other variations of Ryu's Metsu supers.

Bro, you ain't seen nothing yet. Darkstalkers was basically Capcom's sprite artists going full beast mode. If you get the chance give those games a look.
Also some more trivia. Capcom wanted to add the Fantastic Four but had issues with the roster size and differentiating some of them from other characters, so Marvel suggested adding Super Skrull.
Phoenix wright ultimate hyper requires so much setup tbh, thats why when its pulled off its usually a hype moment.
Also Phoenix’s sneeze is a reference to the third game. In an older case, Phoenix had a cold and he kept sneezing so hard his face mask kept flying off his face 😂

Fun fact, the reason Super Skrull has so many fire attacks is because during development it was supposed to be Johnny Storm/Human Torch. But the engine couldn't handle the whole fire body thing, kinda harder on the cpu than what phoenix has going on, so they repurposed most of his attacks and animations for Skrull
Each character from Darkstalkers was actually designed by a different person on the dev team, which explains why the characters look so drastically different.

The special objection activation is called "turnabout mode" and it automatically overrides all music that's playing with a special version of phoenix wright's theme
Additionally, phoenix wright is arguably if not the worst character in the game. But when he's in turnabout mode, he's one of the strongest characters and watching players like iheartjustice steal games with him is truly a sight to behold

20:45 So, that whole thing where Spencer's arm changes depending on which way he's facing is not a lore thing, nor is it an animation error. It's like that because it means less work for the developers, and it makes it so that all attacks don't have to be different in terms of hitboxes or frame data depending on what side he's on. Plus, it makes it so that Spencer's arm always stands out to the player. It's the same for any asymmetrical character in a 2D fighting game. Cable from MvC2 is also a good example of this since one side of his body has been taken over by cybernetics. The only time where a character's asymmetrical features can be demonstrated properly in a 2D fighting game would be features that don't directly tie in to frame data and hitboxes like facial scars or torn clothing. Dante in UMVC3 is a good example of this because part of the right sleeve is torn off. That stays consistent with the directions he's facing.
I think you need to see UMVC3 is broken by thebrunozone to full comprehend how filthy this game can truly get.
So fun little note: the marvel vs series was the best tag fighting series for the longest time but between mvc Infinite messing up royally with the fans and Db fighterz filling that itch it makes sense why you keep saying it feels or act like fighterz

Fun fact: Phoenix Wright is usually one of the weakest characters in the game, until you collect all three pieces of correct evidence and land the OBJECTION to go into super mode. Then he becomes one of the BEST characters in the game. Problem is, this takes a long time to set up, so you need to be smart with things like assists and the Maya shield. There's a pro player called iHeartJustice who is infamous for the fact he plays Phoenix Wright and has actually won matches against several world champions.
Most important part of this was someone telling you Spencer's wife is his arm.

Bionic Commando is a wild game. In the OG NES game he couldn’t even jump, had to grapple everywhere.
The Morrigan and Spider-Man stuff was based on some funny stuff in the games. In Marvel Vs Capcom 1 a team of those two have a very funny victory screen quote together. “I hope MJ doesn’t mind me being late.” Although Spider-Man says this with any character. It’s funnier with the literal sex demon though.
And the box art for the Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection has the two interacting. Which is the other reason. Lol
Friendly reminder, that most supers do more hits and damage when you mash the attack buttons during the super. Such as Doom's finger laser super, Taskmaster arrows supers, Ryu and Akuma's shinku hado and many more.
Marvel vs Capcom 3 is one of my favorite fighting games of all time, so it's always a delight to see people react to it for the first time. One thing you gotta keep in mind is that a handful of these characters have been around since the old sprite-based games, where a lot of the supers were just "one of your regular specials but big or a lot of it", which are kept and lightly updated in this game for the legacy of it. Some of them get more flashy updates and some are all new!
One of my favorite interactions is She-Hulk reminding Deadpool that she used to be Marvel's go-to fourth-wall breaker. Beating Deadpool has the victory quote "If they make a Marvel vs Capcom 4, I'll beat you there too, Wade!", and she follows it up in the text-based win quote afterwards where she says "If this game were made in the 90s, _I'd_ be the one whacking you with a health bar."
A lot of people are saying "Skrull is in the game so that they could get all of the Fantastic Four in one character", and they're definitely not wrong, that is an advantage Super Skrull has. But there's also a much more unfortunate reason; MVC3 came out during the time Marvel was trying to devalue both the X-Men and the Fantastic Four because they didn't own the movie rights to them. While MVC3 is clearly not an MCU game, if you look at the roster you can tell they're teeing up a _lot_ of their more obscure characters that were going to be getting movies and TV shows (I am convinced Marvel would not have looked at Rocket Raccoon unless a Guardians of the Galaxy movie was coming out and they _needed_ to remind the general public who the fuck they are). So because Marvel couldn't use the X-Men or the Fantastic Four in their movies, which were their massive money makers, they wanted to completely downplay the X-Men and the Fantastic Four in _as much_ of their media as they could. They would edit mutants or the Four out of merch that casually referenced them, they wouldn't produce anything that used them even in fields where they did have the rights, they would sideline them in comic storylines, and they wouldn't use them in crossover media (this came to an absolute head in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, which _is_ basically an MCU game and has absolutely no mutants in it, breaking Wolverine's perfect streak of being in every Marvel vs. game). Capcom executives have said that there were specific characters Marvel "would not budge on" in regards to not being allowed to add, and while they couldn't name any exact character names, one of the developers "formed an X across his chest and drew a finger across his eyes", referencing Cyclops' iconic pose. So we know for a fact at the very least Marvel took a hardline stance saying "you _cannot_ have Cyclops in this game" and certainly had more distinct no-nos, who I can only assume were more X-Men and Fantastic Four characters.

Vergil's extra swords have 2 variations, one where the swords hover over the opponent and one where he can turn them into ranged projectiles.

Trish is actually a demon created by Mundus(the final boss of DMC 1) that looks like Dante and Vergil's mother and the sword is the soul of their father Sparda
Felicia, Morrigan and Hsien-ko are all from the series Darkstalkers, a Capcom fighting game where the majority of the roster are legendary Monsters (there are a handful that are not or are monsters unique to the franchise).
Morrigan is from the Succubus & Incubus Race (The Crown princess of that race) and will drain opponents souls.
Hsien-Ko is a Jiangshi, a Chinese Vampire, and her twin sister Mei-Ling is also an undead spellcaster who turns into the Talisman on her hat to be a seal to help control the former's power.
Felicia is a Catwoman, and every member of her race is Female. They can marry and mate with humans, and give birth to human men, but any female children will be Catgirls. The White "stripes" on her body is her fur (that you see on her forearms, lower legs and tail) and she is always fighting in the nude.
Darkstalkers is a franchise many fans want back.
So Felica is a cat woman from a race of monsters from Darkstalkers and although her fur preserves her modesty, Felicia is fully naked and wears no clothing
Unless it's her nun outfit because she was a nun running an orphan house or clothes for her movies when she became a Hollywood star later

About Felicia's design being wild, it's honestly a reason why I love the game so much! I'm a big Darkstalkers fan (pls capcom give us another game) and there's so many fun characters that sadly don't get represented in the crossovers besides Morrigan and maybe Felicia (and technically my fav Lilith by maybe appearing in Morigan's supers depending on the game).
You've got shit like a werewolf martial artist called Jon Talbain, you've got a big Frankenstein's monster who command grabs you with his CHEEKS (no I am not kidding), The most ripped vampire ever Dimitri Maximoff and the character that shows up in marvel vs capcom infinite, My boy Jedah Dohma! a sadistic demon lord who had to be censored in Infinite because he attacks with his blood and even dismembering himself (I believe his guard cancel in Darkstalkers was him literally decapitating himself.) but even censored he was still rad and fun fact: he shares a VA with Jin Kazama in Japanese!
If you ever wanted to see more Darkstalkers pick up the capcom fighting collection, it has some Darkstalkers games as well as other cool stuff like red earth and cyberbots.

If you're unfamiliar with the play style, I would recommend watching some tournament matches to get some hints.
Capcom originally wanted all of the Fantastic 4 as one character Kinda Like Ginyu and the Ginyu Force in FighterZ. But They weren't able to do that so they Put Super Skrull in there. It's a shame you didn't do She Hulks full Recka Super. She has 2 additional follow ups after the drop kick.

32:06 None, to be real, he's technically not a Capcom character. He's owned by Moto Kikaku, which is like an independent of manga artists, so he's a manga character. Capcom just has a good relationship with them and made a few Strider games over the decades and also stuck him in the first MvC and he became a staple of the series. You will always see credits of MvC listing Moto Kikaku and that's cause of him. As for Monster hunter, I dunno when that really because big.

Personally, I like the English Morrigan voice lines. The accent got me sweating... in fear, of course.
Honestly, I'd much rather see a reaction to modded UMvC3 characters and Hyper Combos than MvCI. MvCI is very... Lifeless compared to UMvC3. The mod scene really breathed new life into this game, and many of the characters have super interesting moves and hyper combos, Asura especially is a stand out.

You missed Phoenix Wright’s ultimate if I remember. You have to max out the items you collect off the ground and then you’ll have a solid case against the enemy which will then allow you to do Phoenix’s ultimate. I think he also has another super involving a giant judge smashing his gavel down on the enemy

I think MvC3 was around the time when Disney Marvel was beefing with Fox. Or Marvel was just being stingy. Either way, there were difficulties getting certain characters like the Fantastic Four. Somehow they managed to get Doom, and I think they went with Super Skrull to *functionally* have the FF in the game.
Anyway, whatever difficulties with characters in this game got worse in Infinite, where the X-Men weren't allowed because of Fox beef and the infamous "Functions" line came out to justify things.
She-Hulk is lame and swinging opponent not funny.
One thing you should know about Vergil is that he isn't broken, but rather lore accurate. His brother Dante is also top tier, which is fitting and also hilarious
