I'm Filipino-Chinese, although the Philippines isn't the best country there is, I'm still proud to be born and raised here. I might have plans to go to the west for opportunities, but I will always go back here and help even small communities just to give back and bring my gratitude to the country.

I'm also very grateful to be here and we're very much looking forward to growing this vlog so we can contribute much more to the communities here. Cheers! 🍻

It’s not the beautiful beaches nor the scenery but the Filipinos who make this country great and amazing. And people like you who appreciate the Filipino culture will always find support and love from Filipinos. @@BGCDreams You are totally correct, foreign visitors and tourists are visiting the Philippines for the beauty of nature, in all parts of the 7 thousand Islands in the Philippines, the friendliness and hospitality of the Filipinos are only added bonuses to that, foreigners, especially from the West & Europe because they are adventurous people who love discovering new places, culture, food, etc., etc., etc. let's be truthful to ourselves that they are coming to find out how beautiful is the Philippines.

I'm Filipino living in the US, and I have experienced a lot of discrimination here as well from different people. people in the Philippines will love you as long you respect their culture. Some people are just really disrespectful its sad to hear that story that your being humiliated in your own country by a foreigner.

Sorry to hear about your negative experiences living out in the states. It can be pretty rough out there and it always saddens me when I hear about Americans mistreating OFWs and other people who aren't from there 😫Many Americans seem to expect VIP treatment when they're visiting other countries but don't offer hospitality to others who are visiting 🇺🇸 Sad, but all too common...

Jay, you are providing positive education and influence to the minds of people for a better change and put respect the center of our lives. Kindness always makes the difference in the way we live and treat people regardless of our differences and nationalities. Instead of focusing in our differences why not focus more on the positive side of every person and build a better relationship with people. I noticed that when people behaved the way they behave its manifesting not only their inferiority and insecurities in life but also the pureness of their ignorance. I ready do appreciate your platform by educating the world about the real meaning of what humanity and humility as a basic principles that makes the world a better place. As a Pinoy, it really infuriates me that foreigners living in the Philippines have the audacity to criticize our country and look down on our people. There are some foreign vloggers here based in dumaguete and Angeles who are mostly middle aged western men. Reading the comments sections would usually make me really mad as these foreigners makes very degrading and demeaning remarks against Filipino people.

@@seandaman6509 True! They would hook up with Pinays from the far-flung provinces and assume that all of the Philippines are like what they experienced living in those miserable places. What triggers me sometimes is they would compare how things are better in their respective countries and speak negatively of the Philippines. You would wonder then what the h3ll they are doing here. It does not make sense for someone to travel thousands of miles, lives in another country, and whine about how it is different from what they are used to, back in their own country.

My coworker was hysterical laughing and stated it was her first time to see someone eating his meal with a spoon. She proceeded to educate me to a US table culture of just eating with a fork. She ask me why I'm using a spoon. I just told her - "because we are rich in the Philippines and we can afford a spoon & fork. Please excuse my noble table manners."

Thanks a lot for loving the Philippines. You are a good person and I am sure, your mom as well. She did a good job raising you and your kuya.
Some foreigners are rude to other Filipinos, they should think they are in the Philippines, they think, they are smarter than most Filipinos. Less than 1 % of Foreigner tourists are rude, bad and look down on Filipinos, they should know, that Asians are very successful in the US, most graduated in Colleges, Universities. Living in nice houses, living in nice neighborhoods.

I'm a Filipino-Chinese, my mom is a Filipina and my Father is a Chinese born in HK. My family moved to the US when I was 7 years old, but when I got the to the Highschool my mom suggested to my Dad to move our family to Philippines (first time for my Dad and my sister). My Dad agreed with it, he can't stand some Asian hate there especially after what happened to me in School, I got physically beaten 3 times by some random guys just because of my eyes, I was emotionally harrased couple of times as well, My sister experienced some of it too. Im a silent type of guys, 5'4 height with a very Asian or Chinese looking eyes so literally I'm always at the lime light for some Asian haters or bullies.
I got some very close friends there, not all people in America are racist but in terms of numbers and level of Asian hate compared to other countries I think it's kinda "Concerning Issue".
The first time I arrived here in the Philippines I wasn't so happy because I'm thinking of "another country, another big adjustments, another black sheet of papers with zero friends. But that just all took a week, then I realized that this place, Philippines is a country where I really belong. I'm not good in Tagalog, I just know some few basic words. Majority of the people here are very kind and even in school I didn't experience those school nightmares I had in US.. My classmates know that I'm a Chinoy but still are so friendly to me and I kinda feel special sometimes, they said that being a Chinese here in the Philippines is not a negative issue rather a positive one---because many Chinese here are well respected businessme and kind people as well.
For me Philippines is my home country now. I like the US too, I got some good memories there as well, it's just that the Philippines is the place where my heart belongs. And my sister is the same with me😅😅😅
    God bless.

I'm Filipino, born in Quezon City and emigrated to the U.S. with my family when I was a year old. I'm 55 now, and although there are a lot of good, welcoming people here in the States, unfortunately there are also a lot of racists here too. Our parents raised us to be respectful towards others, to not complain, to not make waves - but only to a certain point, and I've seen this in other Filipinos out here too - push us too far at your own peril. I'm too old now to take the same crap I took as a younger person without saying anything back. I suppose those warm, kind, and respectful Filipinos back in the homeland just haven't been pushed far enough, but I suspect you don't want to find out where that red line is if you're an entitled jerk pushing people around in a country that's not your own. I plan on visiting the Philippines soon, first time back in 54 years. I hope to eventually move back and experience all the goodness you've been showcasing on your channel. Keep up the great work, and thank you for showing your love to our people and homeland (I think it's safe to say that you're one of us now, lol).
