The lead singer wrote this song for his late mother who passed away from cancer. He said the lyrics came to him in a dream. It’s about her coming back to visit him after traveling through the universe.

My mom was a self-proclaimed gypsy, love to travel around and take off for a new destination whenever the spirit hit her. So when Pat wrote this song for his mom it really struck home because my mom died 8 years ago and the only thing that gave me peace is knowing that she was out traveling the universe. I'm sure that's what she wanted most

I totally agree on the string section adding huge to the song.

The song was almost haunting and I don't remember the original giving me that, like that chill down to my bones.
She really just has such a unique sound that I really felt like I wasn't really ready for her. I am sure during the song some of you probably noticed that my mouth was hanging open and I had to remind myself to actually close my mouth so I don't look like a big dummy.
I am not really sure why shes not better known here in the US, because honestly, before people were telling me in the comments to listen to her, I had never even heard of her. But somethings telling me that's probably not going to be the case for too much longer because she has a lot of talent and she is super unique. I feel like that's going to take her really far. Thank you guys for recommending this. She was awesome.

Loved this song till i found out what it was about and then it left me confused and disappointed. Made no sense. Searching for yourself out there. It's about a love that left to find herself. Then i found out it's about his Mom. A bit of the lyrics fit but a lot don't. He should have went that way if that was his plan. And don't get the deep fried chicken.... It's like painting a little mustache on a Picasso. Just doesn't work .

After I found out it was about his mom, it made perfect sense. The fried chicken part ends with him saying "and me". Is him saying, yeah flying through galaxies, soul searching and even heaven is overrated cuz it's not her favorite things on earth, including her son.

All that is to say he misses her.
