    I told my brother there's a mid-credits scene so he shouldn't turn off the episode as soon as the credits start. He then watched it and told me there's no mid-credits scene and wtf was I talking about. We argued for a bit before realizing the watched it on Disney+ and there really were no credits before this scene.
    🤦

    The cut to the new Disney+ ad was very abrupt and it felt like an ad popping up on TH-cam or something. Very jarring and I didn’t like it. Thank god the show isn’t 100% on Disney so the show won’t be completely ruined.

      Yeah I don’t know why Disney thinks it’s ok to shove their logo everywhere (it’s already on the end card) and interrupt the actual credits. I realize it’s petty but the fact that Disney plus has ads pissed me off already so I’ve resorted to using a vpn with iplayer and importing the blu rays because I really don’t like disney

      At the very least with it on Disney I can hear the character dialogue not be drowned out by the music

      I think disney will be good for Doctor Who, it seems like they trust the writers and people working on it and don't want to mess with it. They only had a scene added so far and that scene made the episode way better.

      BBC ONE isn’t available to everybody or anyone living outside the UK or to anyone internationally
      So if international fans want to watch they can’t because it isn’t available.
      I’d give it a chance on Disney+.

    Is the colour correction or saturation different between versions? I can see it most with Rubys face, shes paler in one and warmer toned in the other.

      Disney+ version is using Dolby Vision, which is what most people consider the leading standard for HDR, while BBC is using Hybrid Log Gamma, something it co-developed with a Japanese company for its HDR which production wise is much more cost effective.

      No, no teasers unfortunately. It didn't have the "next time" for the specials either, so I am afraid we're not gonna get any teasers on D+ and have to resort to YT uploads for those :/

      I suspect that in the Disney+ cut, the theme tune just goes back to the start and the credits begin from there after Mrs Flood's fourth wall break. Haven't checked though.

    I'ma give the black flamboyant thing a chance. But if it keeps sticking it's nose in like it did in starbesast I'm done. Disney will learn what happens when they turn a show into a fucking message. and we'd prefer the show burn than care at all for any message your trying to send.

    • @Dolthra

      Ah yes, new Doctor Who, a show absolutely famous for it's lack of progressive messaging.
      Face it- the show has not gotten any more progressive. You've just gotten a whole lot more stupid.

      And to quote, there are no Disney writers on Doctor Who. There weren’t any on either of the 60th anniversary episodes and there won’t be in Series 14. Disney only holds international distribution rights

    • @haroldgrissen92
      @haroldgrissen92 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ehm... you DO know that Disney just has the international distribution rights? And they put some money in, but creatively they have literally nothing to do with it... it is ALL just BBC and Bad Wolf (and RTD ofc)

    • @TheGreatCalsby
      @TheGreatCalsby 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      If you think being flamboyant is new for Doctor Who, you're wrong. A lot of Doctors, even in old Who, have been flamboyant - Tennant had loads, Tom Baker was entirely flamboyant, Jon Pertwee had plenty of moments, the list goes on.
      If you can't cope with it, then this Doctor isn't for you, and you won't find many that are. Doctor Who is intrinsically liberal and has lots of open expression - it always has been.
