In words with consecutive vowels, each vowel is pronounced separately in their short form. I guess this is why a lot of non-Filipino reactors comment on the openness of the words, especially the vowels, as well as the inherent lyricism or melodious quality of the language itself. It just renders well with music.

just as an FYI, this song is the philippine representation for the local release of the disney film and not included in the international original soundtrack for the movie just like what morisssette and darren espanto did for aladdin. some other regions of the world also have their own versions of the song. the original english version in the soundtrack "lead the way" is sung by jhenie aiko, a mixed descent american from los angeles, ca. not hating, i love kz....just stating the facts.
