Right! She looks a bit pale and tired but aside from that she looks healthy and even prettier!! Her hair looks gorgeous and her eyes are shining. Motherhood (and pregnancy), when is taken as it should be (a slow lifestyle), it actually improves womens life in so many ways. It is truly a blessing.

My life has completely changed and creating at the speed I once did is not feasible, but I think that is a good thing as I have needed to grow as a person and let go of unrealistic expectations regarding productivity (as my mother reminds me, I’m being incredibly productive right now, just not in the area of work, as parenthood is an enormous and life-changing endeavor). Baby is helping me change for the better! We certainly learn so much from little souls, just as much - if not more - than they learn from us 🥰 I don’t know what the future will look like, but I’m excited to try my best to stay active here and share what I can. No matter what life path you have chosen, I appreciate you being here! I love that we can have spaces online where people can come together and appreciate the variety of lifestyles we enjoy that bring us joy, peace, and growth 🌸

Oh Paola, I wept tears of joy and gratitude seeing your beautiful mother face - and beautiful baby. I am 77 years old with 45 year old and 40 year old married sons. You are so wise to treasure every moment your son is so dependent on you. Thank you for your time and energy. I missed you so very much. God bless you, Luke and infant little son. You are a gift to my life! You brought back many lovely memories of all the time well spent in caring for my sons.

I cried when I read your message. I am 71, with 3 daughters and many grandchildren. I always tell new parents and parents with little ones to cherish the moment. I miss those days so much. They were the best days of my life. Paola is lovely inside and out.

I traveled out of state every 5-6 weeks and stayed 5-6 weeks for several years with my mother. Indeed, those times have given me comforting, cherished memories.

Well I think that depends on the person. It is not for any of us to decide.And if you are childfree then this does not apply. Perhaps being a carer for a parent will be the hardest and most important job you will ever have. Perhaps it will be employment. Maybe caring for yourself will be it.

Parenthood is difficult for people who want it, it should never be forced on someone who doesn’t want it. It doesn’t matter what your reason is, it’s valid and should be respected. There are other ways of nurturing yourself and others, other ways of showing love and bettering this planet we share. Thank you for honoring yourself by not following someone else’s expectations.
That was lovely to recognize those who choose a different path. Unfortunately, there are also those of us who tried to choose motherhood but were unable to achieve that, whether through not finding a partner to share parenthood, infertility, as in my case, or other reasons.

I really disliked the first two years of motherhood 😢 I felt robbed of the experience (post-natal depression). Now, seven years later, I love being my son's mummy. I learnt that expectation vs reality of motherhood is so very different. I didn't adjust well. Go easy on yourself. You're doing a great job. Lots of love ❤ xxx

Same girl same. It was so hard and I’m sad we had to suffer but I’m happy we are not alone. To anyone reading this, it gets better. Babies start sleeping. Hormones go back to normal. It just takes time but it’s all worth it. ❤❤
There is SO much more to motherhood than just taking care of an infant. You’ll get to experience your children at every age and relate to them as human beings and not just the short stage of being helpless babies.
Same here. An exceptionally tough time for me. But then... I've got 3 children! Let's say, I started savouring moments with my kids when they started talking 😊 but every woman is different and enjoys motherhood in very different ways

I was just like you early on and just like you as of today. I'm 61 now have raised a son and a daughter that gave me the greatest joy of ALL. They still do and they are raising their little ones. Being a hands on mother is the most rewarding gift that life can offer. I gave up a car to be with my baby because I did not want to go back to work ( a bank) and it was the most wise choice I made. I stayed home with both my children, I cooked I played I read books and more books. I homeschooled all of it. God is so good.

Nothing quite as beautiful is a mother cradling her child! The love that exudes in those precious moments are reminiscent to a snippet in time 37 years ago with my daughter. Where has the time gone? Savor every moment , our head can get away with thoughts of all the things we need to do. The only thing we need to do is just be. I wish I knew that as a single parent back then. Those flower pictures are so pretty!! So blessed you can save them so easily in your dry air. My garden gave me a surprise of several violas, my favorite spring flower, blooming in the shade of another plant, here in hot, humid Ohio.
