      Thank you but not at all, I just enjoy working on these early Golf's.

    Why map in Alpha-N when there's a nice intake manifold and untimed injection and not at least semi-sequential when there's a 60-2 crank wheel?

    Hello, I'm going to do a Head swap on my mk3 GTI, have a standard ADC block and wossner high comp pistons for It, got a 9a Head a while ago, but the Head actually came with 010129 camshafts in It (Audi I think), and If I'm not mistaken, these have little lift, would you recommend getting ABF cams?

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I would recommend ABF cams over 9a, I think 010129 is 9a cams.

      @@RestoDesignsnando I also thought it was 9a, but the end of the exhaust cam where the pulley fits was conical, I had to machine it down to fit the pulley. The measurements I got on the cams are as follows:
      Exhaust: 38.7x48.2mm
      Intake: 38.7x47.7mm, is that correct?
      By the way, I really appreciate what you are doing here, the info you bring has been vital for my project, I couldn't find many sources on these engines here in Brazil, so thank you very much

      @@Eduardoklein Yes that looks right, KR specs inlet 9.6mm Ex 10.2mm. 9a Specs inlet 8.8mm Ex 10.2mm. ABF specs inlet 10.8mm Ex 10.8mm. Looks like you have what was called years ago the 'Euro" inlet cam as all North America 16V's PL and 9a had the 8.8mm inlet cam.

      @@RestoDesignsnando Again, thank you for your time, I guess I'll have to find some ABF cams now

    Hi do you still have the originals seats from freebie golf?

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi unfortunately no, I gave the front seats away and used the rear ones retrimmed to match the new front Recaro's

      @@RestoDesignsnando btw is it possible that you could do some dyi videos on how to put in optional extras in the e30 like you did obnk2 golf love those videos
      and do you have a video on how to wire in the chime for mk2 and to retrofit cruise control plus MFA i cant figure it out

      @@stefanramirez1999the chime is just a little module that plugs into one of the relay spots on the front of the fuse panel.
      For fitting MFA and cruise, if you have factory wiring it should basically be plug and play. MFA needs the sensors and connection for vacuum to calculate MPG. Cruise needs the cruise module, vacuum pump, and diaphragm that actually tugs on the throttle and holds it. Also you need a vehicle speed sensor for cruise. Usually, MFA clusters have those but there are places to get them. In America they're hard to get but they pop up sometimes. I personally have a CE1 MFA cluster that has an extra sensor that I plan to use.
