@@euronymous_t I just played RR7 for hours last night...I got it months ago for like $7 and it's like in mint condition. The game is addictive as hell and I'm still only 82% complete it. There's just SO MUCH to do in this game as far as racing action is concerned. I love it. I wish the other RR games featured this much racing and gameplay stuff.
As far as i remember, RR7 is actually the same game with improved and refined nitro system, more tracks and cars. I played both a lot and i remember RR6 was a little boring in comparison (still a great arcade racer on its own) So why RR6 is better then?
I just played this game today for the first time and I wasn't feeling it at all. Sometimes my car was drifting when I didn't even want it to and it kept causing me to hit walls, slow down, and ultimately lose. Maybe I was oversteering? I don't know. It was annoying though.
Ignore that advice. You drift by releasing the right trigger briefly, that's all. You never need to use the brake, ever. And by briefly I don't mean a few seconds, I mean a split second. Just release then reapply immediately. Do this for every corner, never slow down as you don't need to in this game. Once you get the hang of it it will be second nature.
John Darkhorse honestly both of those methods do work, it just comes down to preferance. But yeah ridge racer is a really fun game once you get the drift mechanics right
This is a launch title for the xbox360. 7th gen launch games didn't really look great, at least compared to the end of their life cycle. This game also targets 60 fps which would take a hit in the graphics.
@@starshape6650 you dont have played much games if you said launch titles dont look great, have you even seen project gotham racing 3, perfect dark zero or kameo elements of power, they look great even today.

They need to make a Ridge Racer 8 for this generation of consoles (and PC), and get this same guy to do the announcer voice.

It's an 100% arcade racing game. What do you excpect? People are loving the ridge racer serie for being not realistic.

The UI graphics are just like from Ridge Racer PSP... I'm glad that was the one game I was able to play in the series.

this drifing is unreal? hey guy,, this is ridge racer and not to a driving simulator. Pure drifting diversion...try rr4 type 4
I love playing this in first person view. That way, I'm able to judge the distances properly for the drifts.

Played the drifting to death. Ridge racer 1 didn't have the stupid drifting yet was awesome......

Try to drift by pressing and holding LT for few secods) Ridge Racer without drift is awfully played
