Edit* 8 dont like the flares “raw” but thats cosmetic mechanically this is insane & would be an awsome daily dose of muscle car.

I have so many questions the shop needs to do a deep dive into the build! How they made the interior fit so well, how they made the body fit, it’s it still structural as strong as stock? Etc etc !! Awesome car I love shit like this
Original tailpipes or side exit would have great but the quad pipes goes with the rat theme.

Love the concept… I’m so happy that the G-body platform is getting this type of attention. I’m not crazy about the unpainted fender flares, but I’m hoping it all comes together once they paint it.

@@205Motorsports yes, indeed.. I’m actually building my own version of the ZL1 Monte Carlo, but I’m not doing a body swap. I also own a similar version of the ZL1 Impala also..

That is another sick ass car! I just wish we couldn't get a modern iteration of the Monte! These projects definitely honor the RWD Muscle we're used to seeing with an MC!

Lifted the dreaded curse of the notoriously infamous blind-spots by body-swapping the Gbody shell on to the 6th Gen's unitized chassis.
Love it or hate it, it gets down and gets attention!
This setup is a A+ I have a LS swap and mine isn't no where this perfect. I love how he was making the SuperCharger talk.

Some say the Monte is the new 55 chevy. You can do almost anything with them. I like the flares..

Honestly the new 55 Chevy is not a Chevy. The new 55 is the Foxbody mustang, especially the LX Coupe. From LS swaps, to Coyote swaps and everything in between that chassis has the aftermarket support and following that the Monte can't touch.
I hear you, but the Monte Carlo made it's bones out here in many different styles, drag racing, street drag, lowrider and on and on. This is the first rat model so far. You have to admit the flares is a new one.@@GooglePixelGoogle

@@bigdawg4614 Yeah I wish I had someone available to drive while I got some roller footage but maybe one day. When I go back to do a video on their finished 68 hellcat charger build I’ll be sure to get someone to drive so I can get that footage.

Do these guys have a TH-cam or Instagram/some kind of social media? Would love to see the process of grafting the bodies together, and how they handle the wheelbase difference between the charger/challenger
You can find them on Facebook but unfortunately they’re not very active. They don’t have any build pictures on there. I’m trying to get back out there soon to show the current build status before it’s completed but this isn’t a full time job for me, maybe one day.
@@205Motorsports man, I wish they would film a build series. I see a lot of know it alls in your comments but these are highly skilled builds and that’s the kind of thing that could really launch a channel for them. I get that, having to work and trying to do TH-cam is tough. I have several projects I need to work on that I would love to record but trying to find the time and money is tough. You ever seen built official? I believe he’s in Gadsden so that might be worth seeing about a collab with, he’s not a huge channel but he has a decent following. Building each other up could be beneficial for you both.

@@zachg8591 I’ll have to check them out! Content creating is definitely challenging and a lot of work and probably not for everyone but then again I’m learning as I go and doing alright so I think just about anyone could learn it. Good luck on your build!
@@205Motorsports yeah definitely. I think you’re doing a stand up job, you’re putting yourself out there and your editing looks pretty good. The audio was maybe not the best at some points but you are the only person I have seen do a walk around on a car that I have been wanting to learn more about so I very much appreciate that. Plus, the more you do the better the videos will be. Thank you! I hope to get the ball rolling soon.
Best build yet on TH-cam, Amazing job. I vote that you go all the way and do the paint/body work. Stay with the original color and stripe. I predict someone will throw a bunch of money at you to get it and your hardest decision will be selling or keeping it. Awesome!!!!!!

@@Headsup9550 my car is for sure 100% a z28 lol its not one full color red with gray stripe at bottom. How u tell the difference is IROC’s are all one color. Thats why they say dont paint z28s “one color”.

How did u guys get the door panels to fit on the original Monte Carlo door. I know the panels are much shorter than the door so I would luv to know how u guys made it look super flush with the doors
I know that they cut up the Camaro door and reskinned the inside of the MC door for the panel to attach to.
@@205Motorsports hmmmm trying to see how they did that in my head 🤔🤔 I have a 84 Monte SS with all 2018 ZL1 interior that I’m trying to swap over so I’m definitely interested in this build. Is there any pointers u can give me on the swap for the dash board. I hear it’s hard to get the ZL1 gauges to work?
@@DesTakeFlightWell since this is a body swap and not an interior swap, the gauges probably wasn’t an issue. I’ll put a link to an article on the car. They have pictures of the door panels.
