    EDIT(7/1/2021): I JUST REALIZED I MISSPOKE AT 3:06! *RESTA FIELD IS NOT SHARED. IT IS RESTA FIELD: TECHTER AND RESTA FIELD: FORCE.*
    EDIT (7/6/2021): WOW did not notice I didn't make the edit here! You can ignore Wand Element Revoke unless someone found a use for it!
    Shift & Deband just makes me feel things 👀
    Thank you so much everyone for all the crazy support you've given in the past few weeks! This video concludes my basic class overview series, so now I will be moving to more New Genesis content! Please look forward to my future work, and I hope my future content will continue to meet your standards! Also apologies for my audio messing up at random points, working on obtaining my new microphone at the moment to increase the quality of my future videos!

      Even if they did share (and they don't), Techter's Resta Field increases the healing it does. Techter does 60-70% (can't remember off my head) with its Resta as opposed to the standard 50%.
      It would help if you add a quick annotation at that time stamp for those that don't read the comments.

  • @Tweeeeble

    Techter main here. Quick pro tip, especially for fighting giga's. Since as a techter you heal everyone better than they heal themselves, it is very helpful to open the quick menu(F9 on keyboard, Back button on controller) in game, and change the toggle character overhead display option to Character Name/HP Bar. Of course it sends us on a fetch quest after every giga kill, but it's something we have to deal with until we get an AOE technique that heals (hopefully). Hope this helps! Great video!

      @Crimson Queen Remilia imho after playing wand for a month i do realize that wand's dmg is pretty decent, but what i think that is needed for wand is either animation canceling or super armor, they shoud have at least make the wand lover skill apply to photon arts not just normal attack

  • @laesy
    @laesy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    This video has a few months, but could be useful for someone:
    - Spamming dash attack is one of the best sources of DPS, since it doesn't get stuck much after the animation like the other weapons, keep in mind that dash attack, dive attack, and counter, doesn't give elemental down
    - Counter is always the best option to do damage, the weapon action counter is superior to the side step one, unless you are using resurgir
    - Charged swift smash gives more DPS than spamming wave crash
    - Element revoke can be used if you want to cause physical down, since when you put element on wand, most of your physical down is converted to elemental down
    - Uncharged foie is your best single target technique if the enemy doesn't have elemental weakness, without considering zonde-clad, etc
    - Uncharged zonde is pretty decent AOE technique to clear weaker mobs
    - Talis has less overall damage, but is more PP efficient, attacks from range
    - Tricky capacitor is one of the best DPS PAs in the game, since the animation is very fast
    - If enemy doesn't have elemental weakness, convergence shot without element is stronger than with element
    - Use gizonde to charge zonde-clad if enemy is stationary

    Finally my actual main class 🙌 Te was the first class I maxed out mainly because I love supporting skills, but also because with Shifta I can pretty much just change my sub class and use any weapon in the game without losing much on damage. Honestly for those who aren’t sure what class to pick I’d say they can never go wrong with Te.
    I multi’ed my wand with sword for better AoE and high damage during downs, and it’s a lot of fun 🥳

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah! Techter honestly was one of the first classes I was thinking about playing due to how freaking good Shifta+Deband is. Also the way it works with any class makes it a true jack of all trades. + there's that whole 10% potency for main class weapon buuut Techter basically minimizes that A LOT thanks to shifta. Seriously one of my favorite classes in this game!

    • @kevadu
      @kevadu 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Te/Hu - The go-to combo if you just want to play a melee class with buffs and better healing. Sort of a paladin archetype. You honestly don't miss out as much compared to Hu as a main class. Sure you don't have iron will but it isn't that important and your hunter's physique is nerfed but shifta/deband can partially compensate for that. Honestly if it wasn't for the 10% damage bonus to main class weapons this would be straight up stronger than Hu main.
      Te/Fi - Also a viable option. You do miss out on overload compared to Fi main, though it's not nearly as critical to Fi's damage in NGS and has a really long cooldown so it's not the end of the world. Compared to Te/Hu it's honestly more about which weapons you like.
      Te/Fo - Tech god. As you mention if you're specifically going to play this combo there's the possibility of putting a lot of stuff on Fo's skill tree, though if you want to try other combinations that will limit your options. This is just extremely strong overall though and there's honestly not a lot of reason to choose Fo/Te over Te/Fo right now.
      Te/Gu - This one I honestly can't recommend. If you actually want to use TMGs then missing out on chain trigger is a big deal. And while some people do use a Gu sub just for the PP management skills, for Te in particular Fo does that too but also offers so much more. There's honestly no good reason I can see to use a Gu sub for Te.
      Te/Ra - This one is also kind of questionable. Yes you can use the Ra weapons and they are pretty strong, but you do miss out on blight rounds and that's kind of a big deal.

      @Vilverna 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      why would you use not wands though?

  • @blighter88
    @blighter88 3 ปีที่แล้ว +22

    If you want to use wand, make sure you don't just hold down wave crash. Use it once and let the full animation play out, then use it again. Otherwise you will use twice the pp for half the damage. Also, if you go force subclass and use the rod, you will suffer the subclass damage reduction when using techniques, so keep that in mind. If you want vertical mobility with wand, you can multi weapon it with the wire lance and use it's weapon action to pull yourself to any target instantly. You don't need to be subclass hunter to do this, just make sure the base weapon is the wand.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much for the tip sharing! A lot of those tips, players don't know about so sharing them really helps out! Also I was pleasantly surprised tbh when I found out people didn't know Wave Crash was a 2 hit PA.

    Maining Techter with Bouncer as my subclass has really worked for me. While my Jet Boots don't have the 10% damage boost it would get if Bouncer was the main class, the mobility and ability to gap close after a Tech more than makes up for it. Cast Shift/Deband, charge the right technique, spin2win, and Resta Field as necessary.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TeBo feels realllllllly good especially since you have shifta+deband on Te by default. I pretty much dropped using the wand completely on Te and just exclusively use Jet Boots when I play the combo.

    Now that bouncer is out, that is a pretty good subclass, you don't get the PP buff, but your mobility is amazing. So if you want to play more support, you can fly over to groups and heal or buff or quickly throw up a turret around them to get the PP back to fly to the next group. Take out the wand for heavy damage. I don't use the swords all that much though, I main boots for that perfect dodge.

    I'm a Techter main myself, using Wand-Wire multiweapon and Force as subclass. Wire normal attack is just so good in AoE situation although the main usage is just to refill PP so I can spend that PP in technique (Gifoie or Zonde mostly). Then, wire weapon action gives you gap closer and vertical mobility that doesn't even consume PP and can deal more damage than uncharged swift smash. For single target situation, you can Wire Weapon Action > Charged Swift Smash > Bonk! then use wand normal attack to refill PP.
    I really recommend Wand-Wire multiweapon for someone who consider making melee (mostly wand) techter cause wire really complement wand movesets.
    My force subclass is there to give access to barta blot, zonde clad, and option to use Rod in long range situation or to use simplifiedmovement when I feel lazy.

Though it was just for trial and error purposes, the Palasader(paladin/crusader)worked well for both solo and party play. Sword picks up where Wands fall short in my opinion. Even though sword does not get the 10% damage buff, it still keeps up with wand damage buff from main class and in some dps phases, out performs wand in burst damage output.

    I don't personally like the barte and zonde skills, but I'm a wander. I rarely cast spells and am usually smacking with my wand. But if I were talis I'd be casting spells more.
    Only time I DPS with magic is when there are a lot of enemies or I'm fighting ene kes weak to fire because then charged single target blasts are more effective than whacking with my wand.
    Or enemies are high flying and I can't get into melee.

    Techter is basically the universal main class, due to how good Shifta/Deband is, you can realistically take any class you want to play but maybe don't like the main class specific skills of, and just make it your subclass on Techter and play as if your subclass is your main class, with the benefit of having Shifta/Deband, if you want to. Techter/Hunter can be Hunter with Shifta/Deband access, Techter/Fighter is basically a tankier fighter etc. The only problem is that having more than 1 Techter in an area is pretty pointless in many situations.
    As a Techter main, the only thing I'd say was left out of the video is how long Techter's ending animations are on wand attacks, anyone used to quickly blocking or evading with other weapons will have to really get used to how long wand end animations are. Also, one of Techter's skills has been bugged since the game's launch, making it much more powerful than it is meant to be if you know how to take advantage of it...

    Techter main here, having Wand + Talis is like the best of both worlds with melee and spellcasting playstyles. Personally I don't find myself casting techs with Wand a lot, and therefore don't get a lot of use from Barta Blot or Zonde-Clad. Now Straga is an interesting one, since Techter is really versatile, a common setup is to run Wand+Sword, where you use Sword for your burst phases. Downside to straga is you get -10% DR (-8% if you blow N-excubes), but this is offset by Deband.

Not having to fully commit to building up zonde clad while still able to use it as an extra dmg source is pretty nice. But you can’t really make good use of bart blot as a te since it forces you to commit to the ice techs (which doesn’t have auto pilot techs like gizonde), so you’ll lose your melee dmg when you try to proc barta blot. Fo on the other hand doesn’t have that question, since fo as a class basically focuses on the techniques, but for zonde clad you don’t really have other “extra dmg” besides spamming zonde for faster zonde clad build up unless you swap to a talis or a subclass weapon.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So attack deflection is something unique to Wand Lovers. Basically, when you swing your wand while Wand Lovers is active, you will "parry" attacks if you're hit during the swing of your normal attack.
      This gives Techter a liiittle bit more damage while under Wand Lovers, since you can technically continue normal attacking while being hit (With little to no downside). Alternatively, you could parry with the weapon action instead, which kinda makes Wand Lover's attack deflection a little iffy LOL.
      ALSO forgot to mention! Wand Element Revoke is kinda useless unless someone found a use for it, so you can remove that 1 point.

      For Example, My sword is multi-ed with TMG, and my Talis is multi-ed with launcher, despite the fact that I'm Te/Hu.
      As for my reasons for those multis:
      Talis with launcher is so I can use the normal launcher attack to keep DPS. Launcher normal attack does almost the same as convergence elemental shots (sometimes does even more that them), and is a good way for me to keep attacking from mid-air and regain PP (Talis normal attacks still drops you a bit between each attack, but launcher does not).
      As for the Sword-TMG, it's for bit of DPS when needing to back off / attack from range, and in case there is a time when number hits is more important the damage per hit (granted there is none yet so kinda pointless but eh).

I’ve been thinking about making the switch to techter for shifta/deband, cause when you don’t have a techter it can be felt in how long it takes to kill something. From my experience, in MPAs specifically, the last 10 I've done had a techter in about 60%-ish of them so it's probably my bad luck LOL. Techter + Ranger, I only had in 1 of those 10 MPAs for UQs. Overall in terms of speeding up encounters, Techter is pretty much a god due to how strong Shifta+Deband + Elemental downs are. On top of that, you could also try Ranger since a proper blight round is 120% potency followed by Blight Round Reinforce which adds additional damage to it (And you get Blight rounds on a 3 stock and a 10s CD in between dumps).
      Imo, I would pick the class you enjoy the most! For me, I'm mostly on hunter to output ridiculous meme damage with Massive Hunter (1/5 is 50% DR on main class hunter) + Calibur Streaks, atleast until Braver drops so I can have my main until the Gunblade class!

      Another option, is to do Partizan+Wand since Partizan doesn't really have a good weapon action counter, but Wand does. This would also solve a lot of Partizan's issues aka lack of a good weapon counter (This is useful on any weapon who has one since it regenerates PP+Deals damage).

If you are super concerned about it for UQ's, just start a party as soon as you spawn in and invite everyone you can to it. If you have the full share line, range is irrelevant. techter in base pso2 when eps 3 hit is jack of all trade master of none. it can do everything if you utilize it right but doesn't really excel in anything either which is good balanced class and it stays as balanced class until the very end of it. meanwhile the techter in ngs is weak in everything it does and also does not have anything remarkable either, it cannot be anything else but a let down and burden just like eps 1-2 techter. shifta/deband buff is nice to have but not really necessary as it cant really compete with another addition of dps as it easier to utilize in mpa than keeping up the buff.
    i main techter from eps 1 and if that thing doesn't have zodeel/zanverse it was a class beyond redeemable and basically a deadweight. but as wand lover myself i cant help but still bonking in ngs it sure however lacking more impact than other. (the shield bonking counter feels good tho)

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I agree, Techter does feel weaker in comparison to other classes due to how focused on Shifta+Deband they went. I feel like there's some things I would cull from the Techter tree (Wand Element Revoke especially) and replace with something better like making photonic fury explosions have more AoE.
      I think as the game evolves and we hit the Winter update, we'll probably see massive changes to everyone's gameplay due to the new class skills + level 30 uncap. For example on Gunner, most of the DPS comes from being in melee range, but at the moment it doesn't have a way to travel like OG PSO2 (Grim Barrage). So I could totally see Winter remedying that, and for Techter probably some more wand specific class skills that really enhance it.

      Yeah its virtually infinite PP! I think the multibox skill itself is 9pp a hit, I may be wrong since I do use gunner sub a lot so that might be the boosted value LOL

      @@Sargatas If it's like OG PSO2, the playstyle will be something like counter centric, while Bow will be more positioning oriented but I would assume more mobile in NGS.
      On top of this, it should be slightly more on the mobility side but we won't really know until we can sit down with the class.

      That sounds like an amazing combo tbh! Saber + Talis would allow you to deploy the turret, which regenerates i think 9pp a shot? Effectively you'd have infinite PP as you go wild on Saber! Saber+Wand is also very interesting since it really compliments causing instant elemental downs and physical downs via wand+saber damage
