Great comments. It’s definitely a norm in the heavy equipment business to harp on safety. After 30 years I always go back to spacial awareness. Always have an exit plan. Stuff happens fast. Don’t do dumb shit, and have thick skin. When someone tells you they don’t like it. Re-think it. Do it right. 5 minutes in time.
If you had put a vacuum hose in the hydraulic fill spout and turned it on, it would have prevented all the hydraulic leaks from the hoses you pulled off.
Oh you can definitely over grease a machine I’ve seen machines with great lumps of grease on cab windows and on the ends of rams which is excessive 🏴👍🏻
You can 99% never over grease. Pins and bushings are much more expensive than grease But seals are more expensive than grease. So when there’s a seal holding the grease in. You gotta watch the amount of grease you pump. JMOs.
Ya man stored energy can kill you. Watched a dude open a railcar cam lock cap with 3 PSI on the car. Blew him off the car onto the ground. Lucky for him the cap had a chain welded to it. I remember him saying its only 3 PSI whats the big deal when I started yelling at him to stop before you die. Ya only 3 PSI with a hell of a lot of volume behind hit.
Probably not over 20 k. The problem was that the weight was on the end of the fork extension. 20k at the pins not 8' in front of them . That lowers the picking weight drastically. Besides the fact that fork extensions are only supposed to be 150 % of the main fork. You were way beyond that. Safety last. Job finished fist my motto.🍻
Drove by and didn’t see any bodies out front LOL. Great safe job guys!!!
Great work 👍nice toolbox

How about a 5 gallon paint job for the forklift
Always learn something. Many thanks.
You are correct😊😊😊
What is the objective? Is it to restore the equipment or to scrap it?
Fresh new door on the shop!

Over grease??? Yes. When you push out seals
I still have not heard anything about the free shirt I wood love to have one size 6xl
as long as you wipe away the excessive grease that pushed out of the join or bushing so it dont collect dirt n shit
Are you scrapping this?
Yes its going to be dismantled for parts
Better to over grease than to not grease!!!😮
Thumbs up ,great video, taking apart that beast
I was given some good news on my Toyota pz. They can fix the cylinder head
