    This is what TH-cam is about allowing people to share matters of interest. There are lots of Pill boxes around Essex and I have always had a fascination with them. I hope they are always preserved as they are an important part of our history. Thank you for posting.

    My grandfather was in Tamworth Home Guard and regularly manned these pillboxes, flooding was a problem, they also manned the castle,a spooky experience

    I just love a Pillbox.
    Thankfully we had an Anti Tank Ditch called the English Channel.
    The Stop line alone the A120 in Essex is always a distraction.... .

    we literally had one of these on my high school field (mildenhall college academy) it’s now abandoned and has moved location but still

    The Bren/LMG was fully-automatic rifle. You could aim at things and hit them.
