Before criticizing someone who has offended no one simply by being born in a certain country and accepting it, you should understand that we are all migrants. Our forefathers moved from somewhere in the past to be where we are today. If someone meets the criteria for a competition, they should be allowed to participate. We live in a global village, and it's time to stop harboring hate and xenophobic tendencies. This persistent xenophobia in South Africa is shameful and a serious concern. How can a group of humans have such barbaric tendencies, as if they live in the jungle like wild animals?
Your minds have been really captured with this Xenophobic nonsense that makes you so scared to stand your ground. That woman knows exactly what she is doing, why did she even remove those flags she had on her social media accounts and South African flag wasn't there as someone who claims to be a South African, she doesn't like South Africa but what it can offer her which is what all Nigerians do, they are only here for the benefits such as Citizenship&other things they know what .How many South African women who are married to Nigerians only for Paper & are even getting paid for it so Nigerians can go and live abroad with South African Citezenship?? You can call those who stand their ground against nonsense Xenophobic that's on you BUT some of us don't agree to being manipulated. The moment you are against anything that isn't right being done by a non South African you are being called Xenophobic & that's manipulation cause you will agree to any and everything they are doing, when will you have a back bone?At first it was the ⚪man fooling our forefathers taking their cattle and land in exchange for a Mirror and the so called Africans saw an opportunity to take advantage as well & you are scared to put your foot down because you are scared or don't wanna come across as Xenophobic, basically you are kissing S. The lil that we are left of now has to be taken by other nationalities because they claim to have a citizenship?? We are being taken for a ride here because in Nigeria they will never ever allow that even in other Countries let's see them contest for Miss Great Britain and see if she will be crowned as one. People don't realise that by fighting her, it's only going to make her stronger and paint a really bad picture to the world about South Africa... She's in a similar situation as that of Botswana's 1st president sir Seretse Khama when he was forced to separate from his British white wife uRuth Miller. He received backlash and pressure from 3 countries (Botswana, South Africa and England) yet he stood strong and overcame
@Dr_Du-Little we all know that Nigerians will never allow a south african to represent their country so why should south africans allow this to happen to them.why is it that this whole" let's unite and be africans" thing only must apply to south africans only but other countries are not doing the same thing and their boundaries are respected but when south africans are doing it is xenophobic how is that fair????
I do not think Malema's statement contradict with each other. 1 statement: Your citizenship is determined by your place of birth. 2nd statement: Duduzani was born in Moz, and therefore, he is Mozambican. I find nothing hypocritical/contradicting in those two statements. He is just maintaining the fact that your first citizenship you attain it from where you are born..
The petition that South African should be signing is to demand for the Miss SA Board to change the requirements that contestants need to meet to qualify to enter Mis SA. Otherwise every year you will be signing a petition targeting yet another Miss SA. The rules and regulations allow for transgenders to also enter into the pageant as long as they now do identify as female on their ID. The youth watches Miss SA pageants seeing young ladies they look up to. The Miss SA Board now allows for contestants to be married, divorced and have kids. Hence Chidima is a divorcee and a single mother. It’s our leaders that are dividing us. Especially South African leaders, they are always against the people. They refuse to put South Africans first. They are the root of the problems that this country has. It’s pointless trying to fight with Chidima, although she should respect herself more and remove herself from the pageant. At the end of the day reality is that Miss SA is a representative of SA and as South African as she claims or rather insists to be, there’s nothing that is South African about her. We live in trying times in SA where she is the face of criminals. SA has become free land for all. The state of our CBDs. The rising rates of human trafficking, kids disappearing, drugs etc. It all has nothing to do with Chidima but South Africans are pissed off and fed up, and rightfully so. Things can’t keep being forced down our throats.
We agree she was born here to foreign parents. That's the only connection she has with South Africa. She doesn't look South African, she doesn't sound South African, then how is she going to represent people she doesn't identify with. All we need is a first class citizen to represent us, not a citizen who qualifies because of a loop hole in the system.
The girl is South African, she has no claim in Nigeria nor Mozambique except having relatives in those countries. We are a sick nation if we fail to accept children born in the country just because of their ancestry origin.
I hate xenophobia with all my heart. I don't have any issue with Vanessa representing us. 7400 isn't a lot. There are millions of South Africans that accept her.
Can you be Miss Canada where's while you're a South African????if so then I also don't have a problem with Vanessa but if you can't why did Vanessa enter the Miss SA........you have to understand one thing most of us don't have a problem with Vanessa our only concern is why did She enter the Miss SA while she knew that She was not a South-African........like you say you are living at Canada that doesn't mean you are a Canadian the are probably circumstances that made go to Canada like work, marriage, education etc........I hope you can understand and see South-Africans point of view and not use the X word

How can a group of humans have such barbaric tendencies, as if they live in the jungle like wild animals?
start by dealing with your tribalism in your own failed countries and stop forcing yourselves on us here in SA
Nigerians will forever be opportunists. My opinion cause I don't kiss S & don't mind being labeled for standing up for what I believe is right & that crown belongs to South African not Africa. That's not Miss Africa but Miss South A.
