Hi sinu you worried about any particular aspect of lycopene action? Its there in too many things to be avoided in pregnancy...like in tomatoes and in watermelons ! Of the carotenoids .. B carotenoid is safe. and yes, vit A should not be given in high does beyond 10000 iu as supplementation in pregnancy. so yes, can conclude that the mild amount of carotenoids is fruits and vegetables is mostly safe
