- Hi guys! We'd like to share the coolest upgrade we got for Beelzebus! Meet Bob, a mini dishwasher by DaanTech! Let's install, set up and use Bob for the first time together! And in the end of the video we will share the reasons why we wanted to have a dishwasher in our bus.😊 It's not a very usual device to install in the van, but we believe that it could be, especially for those of you who travel long-term or hate doing dishes like us! 😁

Miele makes a “18 wide dishwasher that is about 22” deep for $1300. It uses less water and washes with much hotter water. Often there is room if yo install it sideways. If there is only 2 of you can leave the clean dishes in the machine.
I want a bob so badly but we use 120v North American power here. I wanted 1 for the apartment and one for the van. I suppose for the van i could run 240v AC for Bob and boiling water in the kettle
Try contacting them! They should be interested in making a 120v version to get on the US market I bet! 😀

I ordered mine for my 50m2 studio. Yes I do have space for a normal sized dishwasher but I just cannot be ehm moved to do the plumbing 😁

WOW!!!! Now all you need is a portable washer and dryer and you guys are all set!
The dishwasher was definitely the best upgrade we made in 2022!:)) We are still so happy about !:D We actually have a portable washer, but not really dryer though. But it took up way too much space for the amount of laundry it could take so we ended up never using it. We usually wash out laundry at camping sites. And now, when we are on Gotland, at our base/ workshop. But yeah, especially a dryer for "de-hairing" all our clothes from dog fur would be great!:)))

Your outside water tank. I would put a couple of fish tank heaters in it ! That should stop it freezing up.

What a really cool little dishwasher that is, pity we don't get cool stuff like that here in South Africa and bringing it in would just be horrendously expensive. Glad oit works for you guys and I would definitely consider it if I were travelling full time like you.

I saw Bob and was so excited but worried I was being a fool for wanting one. But I can see now, that it totally makes sense! (So I am not such an silly person for wanting one hahaha) I am not sure I would have the battery power to get one, but that is (yet!) another reason for an upgrade in my system. I have a MB 601D from 1983 and there are A LOT of things I need to upgrade 😂
Well In that case we´re fools too! ;) Because we really like having bob onboard =) It´s so nice to be able to wash a lot of stuff at once and another good thing is that we save water doing it so we can stay off grid longer =) It does pull a bit of power while the heating cycle is active but it´s not much compared to our coffee machine it takes at most 1800W compared to bobs peak 1000W. But you´ll need to count that in when upgrading your Bus so you don´t drain your power bank a lot that will shorten your batteries lifespan.
There´s always much to fix and upgrade in vanlife ;) Keep up the good work! 😉😀

definitely yes, i would have this in my RV. mainly because it save water, you wont hand wash it under 1,9 or 3 litre....

Beautifully exoplained but how is the Power Consumption on it? Like how many Amph does BOB use for lets say the shortest run?
Thank you! I haven´t have time to measure it precisely but on average Bob uses 0,35 kWh/cycle Daan Tech states on their homepage 👍

Hi guys! Such a nice video. I'm so happy that those already exist. I've just got one non Bob for the flat I'm staying in and that was a game changer. For my van it will be a no brwiner purchase. For sure.
Guestion though: does the Bob throws water from the top as well? Mine has the spining arms at the bottom and the top. And I'm really overloading it and still get super clean. How is that in Bob?
I like bobs design and dimensions so much more than mine. Plus the adjustable tray is so well thought through. Amazing.

Hi Beelzebus family, quick questions about your Bob Dishwasher. What is the measurement of the opening to pour water into the dishwasher? Also, where is the exactly location of the water pour hole?

Hi Noah! The opening to pour water in is about 5x5cm (2x2inch) if i remember correctly. the opening is located at the top left front of the machine very easy to fill up. Thank you glad you liked it! 🤗

@@noahlomax1I'm hoping they come to the states as well. I had pre-ordered two of them, one for my mom and one for myself and went to a third-party reliable seller if it was getting rave reviews in the UK that put together a refill kit for $30 and I bought that ahead of time haha. It's sitting in a drawer not being used. It was called the Bob rewind and you just plugged it into the cartridges and reset them and then refilled them with a blunt syringe with commercial liquid detergent and supermarket drying agent / Jet-Dry... I've been waiting for updates for over half a year and they had told me back then that they were going to have to cancel my order because they hadn't got the licensing finessed in the United States

Har haft en Bob sedan början av 2021 så min är en av dom första i sverige, då hade dom inte kommit på den smarta idén att göra tabletthållaren.
Om du lägger i en tablett i facket ramlar den då bara ur när du stänger luckan eller ligger den kvar i hållaren ??
Tror den faller ned när man stänger luckan det skall nog gå lika bra att lägga den i maskinen 👍

So have you guys never experienced anything bad with it yet?
Well we found out it has an alarm that goes off every time we start driving if the inlet water tank is full but it´s not a big deal just empty bobs tank or switch it off during driving and it´s silent again. So no complains🤗

@Beelzebus thank you. They're insinuating that it will make it to the US finally in 2024. I think I'm going to buy that Scottish Loch Capsule dishwasher in the meantime. Test it out and see how it works and if Bob finally makes it here and I'm not happy with this one I'll upgrade. Otherwise I'm going to figure out if I like it and give it to my parents anyway. They have fairly low cabinets and a very narrow space next to the sink where it'll fit perfectly. Hopefully the Bob keeps making you happy!
@@NoZenith That Scottish Loch Capsule dishwasher sounds like an intriguing option! It's so thoughtful of you to consider your parents' space for the dishwasher! If you ever decide to try out the Bob, we saw that there's an even smaller model now, that is the same width but is a bit shorter. Our guess is that it's designed for those people who directly connect it to the water supply and don't need a water tank in it. Thank you! And we hope you find the dishwasher you like!🌟"
@Beelzebus I haven't heard about that one and I keep checking their website occasionally for updates! I did see they're having a new Joe released now or sometime soon that is kind of an all-in-one countertop cooking appliance that is a toaster oven, microwave, convection oven that seems to be powerful enough they call it an air fryer. This is definitely something I have been shopping too... they need to get to the States already 🤪
@@NoZenith Oh, I wonder if it that was what we saw too! It looked like a compact version of Bob, and it was placed right next to it at some exhibition. We initially assumed it was a smaller dishwasher, but after reading your comment, it totally makes sense that it's the all-in-one countertop cooking appliance you mentioned. :)) And yes, let's keep our fingers crossed that they'll bring it to the US market soon! When we were making the video, they did mention that they were already working towards expanding to the US market. So, hopefully, it won't be long! 🤞😄
