    old vid but maybe suggest the gas- fuel shut off is not doing its job. I found this out on a simular type IH gas start diesel.

    the pony engine doesn't rev up any faster then that ?

      No pony engine. Electric starter. Starts on gasoline and then switches to diesel after the cylinders warm up. This is an old video before all of work was completed.

      That doesn't have a pony you start it on gas then switch it over on diesel the same engine one side has a card and destribiter the other side has diesel injector for switching it on diesel just one engine does it all not like a caterpillar has too International has one

      Watch the newer videos of this machine. Rebuilt front head, new piston, rebuilt mag, rebuilt injectors and rebuilt injector pump.

      Could one of you guys possibly help me out a good friend of mine has a td18 an is looking to get the mag rebuilt along with a few other items any leads would greatly br appreciated!

    Inherent weak head flaw,always cracking heads .Give me a D6b any day.

      Couldn’t agree more. A fantastic idea and ahead of their time but, the thin casting / over design was what killed them.
