I can undarstand, I'm actually 12, i have something like 600 house of experience on ets2, i know almost everything of Road and Trucks, it's Just an hobby but now it's q new reality for me, at least i'm not as stupid as people think.
I`m 15 years old. I play ets2 since 2018 or 19. I can agree with some things, but I wait traffic jams! Other things are true. My pc is trash, I floor the gas on open roads(even tough I don`t break any other laws), and I play a lot. Nice video!

@@vutomy Personally, as an 12 year old, I have my own playtime per day. 5 to 8 hours but on school nights, 3 or 4. And I drive like adults do (even if I have the newest Volvo VNL in ATS😂) Well, my older brother (who is 17) will say he uses voice navigation and uses a newer Kenworth but it's not a big deal. A truck is a truck, same thing. I play ATS and ETS2 just to see my driving skills (which are reasonably good) Ionly crash when going too fast or braking too late and crash into the trailer ahead of me in my Volvo.

The only classic truck I own is in ATS. Rubber Duck's Mack from the film "Convoy" In ETS2 I'm a mix of old and new in my driving but I do like the latest truck. The new MAN TGX is VERRRY NIIICE!!! I mostly play like a "senior" besides the truck choice. I only use modern trucks. Sometimes I just feel like driving like a maniac and see how fast my truck can go.

I got the game for Christmas in 2020
I'm 12 and i relate so much, actually I tried with the MAN TGX GN (I don't Remember the name of that model LOL) and with the 640Hp engine it's so strong, even with a full HCT type trailer, ETS2 it's almost a new reality for me, or a job.
I have seen this "evolution" with me. I have 420 hours over 5 years currently in ETS2 (no joke actually 420)
At hour 200 I was still a very agressive driver. You know doing 170 and stuff like that. Then I mdecides to download some Mods and here I am now driving realistically like real life. I drive on the 1:1 Heilbronn map, doing realistic speeds (88km/h in an 80km/h is normal in Germany for trucks) Have adaptive cruise control (it's in vanilla you should try it) and many physics and realism mods activated (liveries, dirty wheels, dirty paint, etc) and it is really fun just gettign on a nomral sized highway, setting your cruis control to 88 and then forget about speed (just like real truckers) and steer to your exit. It's really calming.
But sometimes I still find myself guilty of doing over 160 on highways. Especially with friends (I play the game 4 years longer than them) I often do 160 with them. The other day we did a race from Austria to bulgaria it was really fun and I came in last because I got rammed by glitched AI

I am 16 years old, and that might've been true around 3-6 years ago, where I had a cheap laptop and playing ETS2 was hard. But now since 2 years, I have a respectable gaming setup. Not the best but it can run a lot of games on good graphics.

The older players pc setup for ets2 is missing some things .... at least a steering wheel. And the monitor looks pretty average at best. Not to mention that having only 1 monitor is fully outdated... :D
As for using the 'classical' 4*2 chassis .... those are usually the ones with the highest gasoline capacity, so you have to go less often to a gas station for a refill.
1440p monitors are still costly at some countries, and having two of them might be impissible for now....
I play ets2 since 2016 and i'm trying to drive as realistic as possible. But when I get bored I drive very fast :D

5:32 i usually drive around 5kph faster than the speed limit which is kind of realistic since most real life drivers do that aswell
in germany, trucks are only allowed to give 60 on normal roads, but many still go 70-80

I played ETS2 and im pretty much driving like an old driver even having a new truck always checking my sides and speed
I think its a good practice. Its up to us to make this game as real as possible. And in that way we get to enjoy it
in 17, but i like to play like if i was driving a real truck, following the speed limits, traffic rules, etc. i bought a cockpit with a steering wheel, and once i accidentally hit a car and i almost stepped out of my seat to say "sorry" 😂😂

@@vutomy the steering wheel Is about 200 usd and the cockpit about 500, but can be even more expensive if you want to add more buttons/lights
Thanks for discriminating us young players who just wanna have fun and not game seriously and waste our parents' money just to get 4K graphics. The game works just fine at 100% scale on my work/school/gaming laptop. Anyway our parents wouldn't agree. And not every young player's PC looks like that.

Well i'm 25 y.o. and i'm in love with old trucks (and regular cars). Just doing 110 km/h on my F2000 MAN right now, listening the Smooth radio 70s & 80s. It's no sense to follow this dumbasses bots on the right side) I'm using G29 with good PC and 1440p monitor, playing not so often, but no wife and other bullshit.

I played alot in ETS2 (MP mostly). For me (near 30y) it's wierd thing what SCS do. They add only newest trucks... Older trucks are awesome. Rough, Simple and ... ugly? Idk, but I'd like to drive some old Scania or Volvo. I think the oldest model is Magnum. Looks like from '90

I've been playing these games on and off since 18 wheels of steel haulin, and one thing I notice is, I could kinda want to drive realistic but if i'm playing a sim i'm driving faster than I would IRL. Usually I drive semi realistically. I took out any violations and tickets because many times I would get tickets for driving 51km/h in a 50. I would drive a bit over the speed limit (without tipping of course haha) but still inside the lines and stuff, and I would end up driving at around 100-110 on highways. Then on cities I would drive normally ie using traffic lights and waiting for jams because otherwise I wouldn't be able to move anyway. I'm 27 and I think i've been playing this since I was 15-16 combining a total of maybe 200hours since I play other games

34 years old, 3x 43 inch TV surround with skrs shifter, 1500 hours on the game and recently passed my HGV licence. This sim was a great tool for helping me get my licence.

I'm 18 and I've been playing ETS2 for 5 years, at first I played on a TOSHIBA and a Logitech G29, then I was able to buy my own computer (Ryzen 5 2600 + Geforce 1050ti) lately I haven't played ETS2 for 1.5 years because my G29 broke, then I bought a G923 Xbox, I am currently thinking of buying more Dlcs like (Iberia, Viva la France, Italia, Scandinavia, West balkans, mighty griffng etc)
PD: At first my ETS2 was a pirate, then I bought it on Steam
I wish i had friends to play this game with. None of them understand this game and consider it comedic i play something this "boring"

@@vutomy I did but it's best played with friends that you can communicate with for coordination. With convoys I often end up falling behind cause strangers don't often coordinate with you. Also almost no convoys use mods xd
Well, I've been playing for a while, I have a G27 and a decent computer (with an rtx3060), and even so I suffer FPS drops out of the blue..., I play respecting everything except fatigue because I find it a nuisance. I really like making the heaviest deliveries so I need to have a more prepared/powerful truck or I won't be able to pull 30t or more, So my game style is like a veteran but I pick my trucks like a rookie 😂

I’m a student. Before I couldn’t spend a lot of time in front of the PC and the old PC sucks. Average FPS was like, 15. I used to drive recklessly. I damaged my truck, for a million times. Now, I, maybe because of TH-camer’s influence, don’t play the game recklessly anymore. Or maybe because of the busy Secondary School life, I enjoy so much driving slowly and being able to escape from my life which is so rush, always.
You can only enjoy Ets2 when you play slower....

I feel like I'm somewhere in between young and old... I use a laptop, but it's as good as high end pc. On ETS I drive the new DAF and Scania fully automatic, but in ATS I drive a customised Peterbilt 389 8x6 with Cummins N14 Chip Tuned engine and 18 speed manual gearbox. Speed limited is off but Turn on cruise control at +9km/h to avoid speed cameras.... So, smack in the middle of old and young... 😅

I am "Old" and i like New Trucks and Busses and Digitaldash and Mirrorcams. I am "Busdriver" in reallife :City:, ("Trucker / Virtual") and drive often Busses with Mirrorcams and Digitaldash Ebusco, Solaris, MAN. I like Mirrorcams for example "Night", you can change the brightness of your Mirrocams to see better in the Dark. On rainy days you can still see everything well, the camera outside is unimpressed, and you see everything on the screens inside......dry. Everyone has its own opinion i know, some dont like it, some like it, i like it will never turning back. 🚛🚎♥️. Edit: i still prefer Diesel Engines, i drive Electric Busses on my Work but its ok i dont need to recharge it by myself........

As a young player, I agree with this. However the speed part is a lie. I drive my truck at over 150km/h. Like I'm all for hyper speed mach 10. And since I got a Scania with the almighty retarder, I have never rolled over in corners. So 98% of the time, my deliveries are excellent. 🎉😊

I am a average player I started playing truck games on android as soon as 2017 and now starting playing euro truck simulator 2 on my laptop is trash of course however if i get enough money i can get a decent laptop with dedicated graphics card to play games about the playability i am the middle between young and old players i am coming from. Mobile truck games and i know where overtaking is prohibited so i try to not pass but still exceed the speed limit but i try to respect all other traffic laws

there are countless mods that allow you to drive old trucks in ETS2. Some of them are very good.

Um… I’m not old but I do love classic or old trucks more than new ones…reason…easier to maintain when I realize at a job site. New ones are a pain in the butt to maintain. As a rookie…I vote for more old trucks and I drive one for ever…plus we all have the choice on what want to drive…this is what it means when referred to the American Dream

Old trucks are better than new trucks, I drive trucks IRL and old trucks are completley different to new trucks, you feel part of the machine your not a steering wheel attendant, you are a trucker.

Then there is me, the older one mostly but not necessarily on truck taste(I like old and new) and I got the speed limit in towns but on the highways I go the limit or 5 over, sometimes 10 over.

i'm a younger player and drive exactly the speed limit, whenever an ai truck or car with caravan in front of me goes slower than me i speed up while overtaking (except in the uk cause i drive 60 mph (97 km/h) and ai trucks go 56 mph (80 km/h)) and when i merge back into the lane i slow down. i have a 16 gigs of ram pc with not so expensive hardware for gaming. i am patient and wait in traffic jams. i play with a logitech g920 and shifter, when i first got the game i played with a keyboard because i didnt have the wheel

I'm an oldy, prefer older trucks, but some newer one's are ok. Don't go for 750/730 hp not needed unless heavy haul. Wish someone would do a ERF. As a lot of players i talked to would like it.
