We've used manuka honey before and it does appear to work very well. Definitely worth a try.

Also historically had been used by the Swiss army for energency wound care.
And, honey has no expiration date.

Manuka honey is good. I was told you get what you pay for and it seems to be true. I would recommend trying at least one.

Hi from central Otago southern New Zealand 👋 I'm a beekeeper btw😂 if you're having trouble with coughs and colds, try some of your locally produced raw honey, I'm certain you have great beekeepers in your area who produce amazing honey more suited to your regional sniffles. Just make sure it's raw honey and not pasteurized or heat treated or irradiated which destroys the beneficial enzymes in honey

No the Australian honey is not as good and the latest scientific info shows that the so called Australian Munuka (tea tree) is actually a different species from the New Zealand Manuka plant.

Manuka honey is just honey mixed with propolis and pollen. The bees at this time of year are harvesting from the manuka tea trees in New Zealand and they are getting jacked on the caffeine and and mixing up there honey stores and making dirty honey. If you want this type of local honey just find a bee keeper that sells local honey and ask him for some pollen most bee keepers use pollen traps and collect it to use it to make pollen cakes for spring bulk up.

@Justthemow There is no such species called a Manurka tree, it is a Tea Tree. Just a generic name...... The NZ honey industry was recently fined, for falsifying honey, calling it Manurka honey, because they couldn't keep up supply...

@@kathrynperry992hi. I'm a New Zealand beekeeper 👋 I don't live in a manuka area btw and I personally think it's over rated but if anyone had been fined over manuka honey, I'd know about it because beekeepers talk to each other. It's always been called manuka, which occurs both in New Zealand and southern parts of Australia, tea tree is a unrelated Australian plant
