The Mandalorian 3x08 - Grogu VS Praetorian Guards - Fight Scene Season 3 Episode 8 (S03E08)

- Right from the badass and action packed opening, its understood that this episode isn’t going to be a joke and it here to leave a mark. As Din and Grogu make their way inside the base with R5’s help, Bo-Katan and her legions carry out the battle for Mandalore outside. The sequence where Armorer and Bo-Katan (holding the Dark Saber) lead the flying Mandalorian army to Gideon’s base is extremely chills inducing and takes us back to the glory days of Star Wars. Also, Din’s action sequences while he fought Beskar wearing Stormtroopers as well as the Praetorian Guards (Red Beskar Armor Troopers) were very well choreographed and finally gave Din moments to shine.

My heart sank when the door closed, the way Grogu inside IG-11 blurs out of focus putting up "his" arms in a desperate move to protect himself, such a great scene, great stuff. Proud of Mando and Grogu.
This show is so fucking well made.
Grogu, no!
Dude same. I told my wife for like a whole day after how group came to save Mando and shouted no, then walked back flailing his arms to protect himself as they charged legitimately scared me and I was not ok cuz I thought there was an actual possibility they were about to actually kill him. I haven't watched a show that gave me that level of an emotional panic in a long time
@@TheCyberAssassin wow
@@TheCyberAssassinI know what u mean. I watched it with my gf and when he started walking backwards and had his arms up I was I was worried.
I cried so hard when they went after Grogu after he said no.
Fax i did too
I literally shattered to pieces thinking that grogu died
It was brilliant storytelling. We'd already seen them make short work of Paz Viszla, and suddenly Grogu seemed so vulnerable, the way he was back stepping, and shielding himself with IG12's arms. They'd be insane to kill off such a wildly popular character, but it at least felt possible. God, it's essentially a muppet, but damn if I don't feel super protective of it.
It's a shame they didn't kill the little parasite
@@bronykingamethystrain5676 edgy. 😂
The anger in Grogus eyes is amazing.
I kno I love his angry lil face! He’s like you leave daddy alone!
i heard his little growl
“Hey three stooges!, pick on someone one tenth your own size!, like ME!”
@@rippingtons60 brave baby.
He’s going to the dark side. Watch.
Mando would not have won this fight if Grogu didn’t help him with the force. I loved this scene so much!
Not true he would of just barley made it but if grogu didn’t say no then he would of died
@@akaakaaka5784debatable, 1:10 could have been crucial for Mando’s ability to continue without the assist.
Mando certainly handled two of them, but three seemed like he would fail to take a majority of outcomes against.
- to Mando’s credits, he had been fighting quite a bit up to this point and had taken some amount of dmg, he also exhausted his whistling birds. Based on his performance here, a fresh Mando should be able to take the majority against 3 Guards.
They overwhelmed Paz, a much physically larger person, like it was nothing so I agree
That's why they are a clan of two. This is the way.
God I can feel the pain in mandos voice when he says “no” after seeing them going for gogru
Vader saved Luke by killing the emperor, Boba helped Jango during his fight with Obi wan, and Grogu helps Din fight Gideon’s guards. Best father-son moments in Star Wars.
Mother's love is huge......So if a father's......Fathers are so underrated it's unreal....Watching this series and especially this episode.....wow the amount of hell these two would go to help and sacrifice for each other......It's tear jearking.....Beautiful....plus have you noticed that mando and grogu defeated 4 praetorian guards rather easily when they were together.....whereas how difficult it was when Rey and Kylo had almost died.....and they were supposed to be a combination of the two most powerful bloodlines in SW history as well as a freaking force Dyad????? Show's the connection Djin and Grogu has!!!! Beautiful and the sequels sucked....Long live Favreau and Filoni!
Mando: “You did good kid”
Grogu: “eeeh!”(damn straight)
Did anyone notice grogu trying to say “Thanks” haha he’s learning to speak.
The more I see it, the more I honestly think it's just a quick sob out of mad fear. They are litteraly trying to kill him.
I think that he's trying. Kinda sounds like it too.
@johnblacksad1627 nah throughout season three you can hear him saying some words. Mando and bo even hear him and pause for a second at one point
As a father of 4 myself. This scene here is proof positive that you do not mess with fathers baby!
That 'baby' is over 50 years old.
@@StillSaber considering his race lives to be over 900 years old. I’d say he is still a baby lol
@@anthonycerulli1423 And considering that his race is short like Kermit the Frog, Id say he's a teenager.
@@anthonycerulli1423 yoda lived 900 years because he was strong in the force
@@GrahamWarzywo as is grogu lol
0:10 Grogu is like get away from him
He's a brave little guy ❤
It's Grogu's scream before he said no, no, no, no which got to me!
I was so proud of Grogu in this scene 😂❤
Right.. He was having so much fun as well..
Yeah literally enjoying himself and laughing while running
Wish he fought a little better.
grogu laughing at 00:38 he's probably thinking ha ha i have the high ground
To me it was like he was like "remember Luke's training remember Luke's training, hey this kind of fun"
No he was kinda screaming for being scared
Grogu - NO! Leave Daddy Alone!
Seeing Grogu having such a strong impact in these last fighting scenes was amazing to see
the little baby giggling as it jumps from the lights...for some reason I couldn't help but cry
One of the only scenes in the Mandalorian that had me genuinely terrified.
Lucky for Grogu that an Imperial Architect pushed for decorative overhead lighting. 😂
😂😂😂
Now that you mention it, it's kinda funny.
Din: you're did good kid
Grogu: gnee *moving his head* 😂
You*
Grogu is such a good boy & he loves Din, Djarin whole heartedly like a father . I can wait till he’s able to talk & I can’t wait to see if he gets Mandalorian armor . Have you ever noticed that in serious situation. Grogu laughs a lot . Fun kid .
I think at the end of the clip before the guy shows up Grogu said "Thanks" too Papa Din when he told his kid he did a good job.
So your wish might've come true. =)
We have now a Second Mandalorian Jedi
This is the way
I just love how the second he saw Grogu outnumbered he could give a damn about Moff Gideon or if he even got away the only thing that mattered was that his lil green guy was in trouble. As he once told Bo Katan Grogu is his only priority❤️
i was hoping mando would of taken one of those weapons for himself
I was hoping Grogu would have a lightsaber
@@woodismusa what if that are able to salvage the darksaber crystal for him to make him his own lightsaber and eventually he'll be the next mandalorian Jedi
I would have looted them all
exactly man
Those weapons pierce beskar
0:10-I swear Grogu said, "Dad!" there.
This show is fucking incredible.
lmao
Yeah especially the finale
Mandalorian is 🔥🔥
My favorite part was when Grogu laughed at them from up on top of the beam. He has no fear 🥰
He isn't laughing he's crying, little guy is terrified
He's a Mando'ad Verde I expect nothing less
His a brave little guy ❤ 0:10
Mando did ask him to be brave.
Can we just appreciate that perfect knife kill at 1:16?
Right under the chin, where the weakest part of the armor would be with a vibroblade knife
Beautiful
Anyone else hear grogu say thanks at the end?
« I need you to be strong »
Was losing it at that point
And I’m a 49 year old truck driver
When he did that head bob at end my heart swelled
1:20 - the way he killed that beskar praetorian guards
1:29 did not expect thatjump scare
great season finale great boss fights here !! iconic stuff from an iconic series, already as classic as the dukes of hazard, knight rider, baywatch, miami vice, macgyver, and perhaps some others too, can't remember them right now......
This is so unbelievably cheesy. Grogu looks like a stuffed animal being tossed around the room.
Whilst those guards look mean, they rely on superior numbers. 3 on 2 isn’t good enough when the force is in the room
That beskar rondel the Armorer made for Grogu DID protect him after all.
Mando and grogu are bravest heroes
This is why I was so upset Paz was defeated by these guys, He just took down like a dozen plus death troopers that all had blasters he could have picked up but instead fought with his vibroknife and shield. Clearly not impervious to blaster fire.
Paz didn't seem like an agile fighter. He held a gatling blaster gun. We don't know if he would fight with guns the way Mando does. Mando does "gunfu," an actual term used in Chinese cinema lol. But I don't know if Paz would fight the way Mando does. I would have to assume he doesn't, and that's why he chose to go H2H with them. He was more comfortable H2H than he was with small guns.
And also this guys are train to be the deadliest of the deadliest, they are train to protect palpatine
@@dvdai1206
1. These guys aren't the Imperial Guards.
2. If they were the Deadliest of the Deadliest, then someone needs to up their training regiment in The Last Jedi because they were beaten by Scavenger who had no Lightsaber training whatsoever and a overgrown man child who has parental issues.
@StillSaber1790 1. They're what the imperial guards became after Palpatine died
2. That kinda proves his point considering the only characters who beat them are the ones with plot armor.
@@bigtonithegreatjamboni9850 Plot Armor or not, Rey still didn't have any Lightsaber training and and the only one who 'could' 'maybe' stand a chance against them would be Kylo Ren because he did have both Jedi and Lightsaber training.
Many things to process, but my priority is how many people in their galaxy care about grogu because of how much Din jumps through hoops to protect the little prodigy
When you see an innocent person that could use your help that's when people show their true colors. From experience. And that's why I'm a fan of the show
was not expecting the end 😭😭
Father and son prevailed
0:39 I have the high ground
This is probably my favorite scene in the entire series. A little baby doing so little yet so much in saving mando, im crying
I really thought for a moment. Fleeting as it was, that my favorite little guy was going to get hurt...or worse..😢
I could be wrong but I liken Grogu to a prodigy. Not knowing if age restricts how fast any species can learn the force, Grogu learned a lot in a short amount of time both from self study and teaching. He was very clutch here focusing on one thing at a time during the fight and son and father were one unit.
He trained with Skywalker, of course his progress was impressive. That would be like praising you for your cooking skills after you've been taught by Gordon Ramsay.
Luke literally says he didn't teach him any of that stuff, grogu was remembering it from his days at the temple
the way i was screaming with Din yelled NO and then fucking Moff yanked him right back
I love this
Such an amazing moment. I was scared for Grogu during this scene
He giggled after landing those sick flips
don't touch my father
Do the empire never learn not to fuck with the high ground
I was orettt upset when Luke took grogu I get that was the whole point of the series to get him to a Jedi. But that turned out to be the best thing to happen to him. He learned not only how to defend himself and fight back but to protect others. Like Mando
Did he said "Thanks" ?!?!?!?!?! ;O
I Think he Did
Wtf is this ending 😂😂😂😂
Really wished Grogu would've been allowed to take both the lightsaber and the armor when he left Luke. A lightsaber would've come in handy fighting against those guards. If Tarre Visla became a Jedi as a Mandalorian, why can't the same be for Grogu.
I think he's still too small to wield that lightsaber
I was biting my finger nails when I see Grogu fighting them alone......
Mando needs to keep this blaster. One: It's a similar design to his previous weapon. Two: The sound effect is awesome
They pretty much saved each other. Grogu distracted the guards and got their attention from Din Djarin . Mando stopped the Praetorian Guards from catching up with Grogu and Grogu used the force to disrupt their attacks. The Praetorian Guards are trained in close combat they're vulnerable from range or blaster attacks.
I absolutely agree with what your saying.
Is someone able to explain to me why using IG-12 was better than staying in his levitating egg basket 😅😅 I liked that thing lol
i think its more practicle sense he will be able to help alot more but for the designers to add it i think it was more about cuteness
Swing swing and swing as you can, you can strike me, im Grogu of Mandalore.
Praetorian guard design in this show looks way better compared to TLJ ones
Alice in wonderland ahhh design in Tlj
Bruh the Praetorians always get the worst fight scenes. lmao
atleast they put more fight than with rey and kylo
How? This scene was badass
@@vootvoot9180 How was it badass? it was literally 3 trained warriors failing to kill a stupid, little, jumping baby. It's pathetic and not badass.
@@trissi4468 The baby has force :)
@@vootvoot9180 Bad excuse.
I didn’t realize this show had so many haters! I thought this was well done! Love Grogu! ❤️
There are people who like Mando Season 3 and people who like good TV shows.
@@trissi4468 Then I guess I must love GOOD TV shows since I loved Mando season 3.
They probably expected anotehr cameo/rescue from Luke, and were disapointed that it didn't happen... Season 2 was full of these, stop feeding them of flashy Lux cameos, they'll pout like babies.
@@johnblacksad1627 You don't.
@@johnblacksad1627 I just wanted an interesting story that made sense...
0:10 so cute yet so angry
Legends Royal Guard would probably give Din a hard time and be a close shave.
You can tell the imperial remnents is transitioning into the first order
It would’ve been cool to see mando with his beskar spear vs the guards
I think people forget, even though it might not of been for that long this “kid” was literally trained by LUKE SKYWALKER and not to mention he’s had some training on the side from Mando too, this child is no joke and if he wanted to take out Gideon’s guards I believe he could of done so but he was preserving his energy for the explosion.
I actually hated how this was the scene that finally showed the praetorian gaurd fighting they were on par with the jedi templars in close combat while not being force weilders
As I look at this I can’t help but kratos and Atreus also did groggy just talk
Was epic. Finale was fkin epic
lmao
Did Grogu say "thanks"?
Thank you so much to everyone who watched this video, 112k views is crazy!
The moment you see your child in danger..... suddenly you dont feel pain, you have the strength of 10 men, youre bullletproof. You're invincible because your kid is under threat and you feel that power deep down inside you
Holy shit, the grodu played support and actually helped Din win was such a cool moment of character development.
He has gone from a helpless and personality less baby to a caring young son in his own right.
Mando S3 sank quite a bit in episode 6 and episode 7 was a bit rough as well in its places, but 8 was pretty good as a season finale.
Except for MOff Gideon, he is such an unintresting one-dimensional villain who only has intimidation factor going for him
Edit: I still stand by the grogu bit, but the "sank quite a bit in (only) 6 and 7" was... uuuh... let's say "generous" from my sidr
Crazy to think yoda just ended 2 of those guards like they were nothing when he confronted palpatine lol
These guards were outnumbered.
0:10 😡 NO! NO! NO!
Blaster is the way
@ 0:30 what was he panting for?? He was barely moving 😂😂
He's a baby lol I think they breathe more heavily than when they're older
it's pretty typical for a toddler to do!
Keep them busy, Grogu.
Grogu learned the high ground Kenobi Ahsoka and Luke would be proud or Grogu
Was the first guard killed by the two blaster shots when Mando came to rescue Grogu? Then Mando fought the other two ? Wasn’t clear
Moments when we remember grogu is still a baby 0:36 0:52
Mando is better with his beskar spear, our fight was epic!
Indeed, it would have been epic if you gave him a beskar spear and did an honourable 1v1
That is my baby 💚💚💚
Is it just me or did Grogu say “thanks”?
idk what's the purpose of that endings 😂😂😊
0:19 Nooo
0:24 This is the way
Touchez pas à mon Grogu !
I screamed at the TV when they went after Grogu. Worse when they knocked him down. 😂
They managed to make this guys even lamer than they were in the last jedi
lol @ the indian at the end
This show really put Bo katan over strong
