Sam, your excitement for this car is palpable. What a thrill it must've been to drive through the Italian countryside. Brilliant video especially considering the time constraint.
Finally someone who got the essence of why Lamborghini kept it NA than opting for a downsized turbo unit Have seen other youtube reviwers pitching the Revuelto against the Tesla & SF90 in a straight, but that's not it was made for..it isn't about setting quater mile times Revuelto is all about emotions, the drama, the madness, defiance & challenging the status quo
THISSS. And it sounds better than the 12 cilindri because it can keep its emissions under control thanks to the electric drive so the v12 is free to sing better.
Yea funny how people like Matt watson and other have helped move the goalposts for no reason. Historically, lambos have always been slower than their "rivals" but offer an emotional side that has helped them into the history books and be named alongside the likes of mclaren and ferrari as a great. They have always been unapologetically wild and difficult and compromised but beautiful in all other aspects.... and thats why they succeeded. Now people wanna downplay it cause its 1 tenth slower over a 1/4 mile than an sf90??... pure stupidity.
@@CITRUS-- its not that they cant make fast cars, lambo engines are some of the most boost friendly engines, bot V10s and V12s, there are plenty of aventadors that go 1200+whp with turbos also they can make light cars as well, look at the sesto elemento or veneno. What I find hilarious is some ppeople say that they should have gone the Ferrari way of putting that V12 in a berlinetta but don't understand that just like how berlinetta is the heritage design for ferrari which they use for all their flagships, rear mid engined V12 is for Lamborghini which started from miura and has been that way till today.
I remember when the P1 first came out and watching the now iconic Top Gear episode. Isn't it funny that I was over the moon about the P1. For the Lamborghini, I feel nostalgic for the older generations. I hope it does well for them, but it doesn't stir the emotions that I would hope for. Great work, as always Sam.
Gotta disagree. The car looks soooo much better in person and I’ve had a go in it and it’s crazy. It’s one exhaust away from perfect. This is just one review and all who drives it, even though the SF90 is a tad quicker, they all would rather drive this.
YES!! You are spot on about the emotions this car can give you. I’d take the Revuelto over almost anything being put out this day and age. This and the STO IMO are tops!!
Sam, I remember driving the Aventador in Italy a few years ago. Those narrow roads were insane but I will never forget it. The new Revuelto is so much better in almost everywhere. I love the Aventador but the Revuelto is INSANE!
Id love to own one some day. I wish lambo made a super oldschool manual with less power but still a v12 car.. a in beetween the revuelto and the huracan replacement i forgot the name lol...
Might sound dumb but when you mentioned about the looks I think it’s because we’re all used to the bonkers styling of modern cars in general. BTW the bonkers stying doesn’t mean they’re always nice
@@aeromotive2 I guess there have to be something they can go bonkers with in the SVJ and other special models 😁The "standard 1 gen Aventador is subtle comapared to the later versions
Well I think it's meh looking but not for the reasons you mentioned . 430 is probably still one of my favourite looking cars and I love murcielagos too . For me it's got nothing to do with crazy styling , mostly because I think all of those crazy looking cars are ugly
I love how you mention how stressed the interior UI makes you. I’ve never been more stressed than watching you explain what all the buttons and dials on the wheel do, and then realising there’s even more buttons on the back of the wheel too 😅
I usually hate the fake EV noises, but something about a flagship lambo sounding like a UFO makes perfect sense. It just works. Especially since the V12 is still available when you want it.
It's all in your head🧠 you have been desensitized because of your many interactions with these cars, and this design is more evolutionary than radical as were the previous designs IMO when I see an Aventador or a Huracan out, I don't lose my mind because where I live they are a common sight now.The first time I saw a Countach in Germany now that was a sight to behold!
The revuelto is predominantly RWD, the front only had Emotors on it so there is no drive train from the V12 going to the front. Would love to see Tony’s reaction
Front bumper cam is amazing. I don't have any feeling at all for Lambo, never have and I don't know why as drivetrain wise it should be right up my street, all the power, AWD and visceral. I guess it's the stigma of Lambo and I'm not a loud and shouty guy. Maybe an 812 inspired V12 super GT, an AWD modern-day Miura that encourages long distance mile munching with the poise and finesse to be enjoyable to drive is the Lambo for me that'll never be......
Great review and really good filming. Sam’s back. Just don’t agree on the “identity“ part with the ev sound. Every second small ev has a similar spaceship sound.
V12 lambos used to be the ultimate poster car on 13 year old's bedroom walls (think Diabolo and Murcielago). I can't see that being the case for this car. p.s. looking at those roads I can see why Ferraris have bumpy road modes
When it comes to vintage Lambo V12’s, I actually like the Diablo. In particular, the Diablo VT or SV. Mwah-chef’s kiss 💋 Edit: the Revuelto is great, however, even though the interior has more space, it doesn’t have the “fighter pilot” feel of the Aventador.
If the wheels were silver with chrome exhaust tips it would look so much better.. And maybe ditch those all season tyres, that's probably why it was so skitty.
If look at all Lamborghini they stayed true to overall design style just modernized them just a touch and made them bigger every year for next generation.
Yes, a great step up with other current super cars for Lambo, beautiful and unique as always, the hybrid concept on these kind of cars just seems to be a bit gimmicky and unnecessary….
It's a little strange seeing reviews of this car release after someone like DDE has shared the ownership experience and even modifications. TH-cam chronology. Great video nonetheless!
Sam you should do an advanced driving course (as should most other TH-camrs). You clearly love driving but your steering technique, driving line and acceleration through bends is genuinely scary. I think you’d get so much more from your driving videos if you had the technique and your influence would rub off on so many others watching
This is mega, Sam! It looks like an absolute riot to drive and the fact you've done a relatively 'quick' job on this really shows how intoxicating it was. The only real content I've seen around the Revuelto are from DDE and Yanni - other than the insane sound from DDE's new exhaust, the Revuelto has seemed a bit flat on video. This really shows its personalities. Another great video, Sam. Keeping them coming!
Given how many revuelto has issues he is still better off with the GT3 even though that also broke down. The price for the Revuelto will come down no matter what happens.
In Canada, it's over $1M. Straight up, that's $350k too expensive for what it delivers. I strongly recommend that anyone who wants to buy a supercar in Canada, buy it in Dubai. Don't let the Lambo dealers Canada fool you. They are taking advantage of you up here.
There seem to be a couple buttons on the back of the steeringwheel, right about where the paddles sit when the wheel is pointing straight ahead. What do these buttons do or am I just seeing stuff?
I don’t think Audi gets enough credit for these products. Yes they are Lamborghini badged/branded but ultimately it’s the Audi engineers that have developed this and hence why they work so well.
