Today, I take a look at Grand Theft Auto The Definitive Edition to understand if the game was a scam or just poorly developed.
GTA The Definitive Edition was a trilogy remaster of GTA San Andreas, GTA III and GTA Vice City.
The bad pedestrian AI causing them to leap in front of your car is actually a simulation of pedestrians trying to commit insurance fraud. It's super immersive!
labeling these games as "definitive" is an actual crime 😭
To me it’ll always be called the Defective Edition

From what I heard, Rockstar cut ties with Grove Street right after this 😭 though I couldn’t confirm it so i didnt include it
@@shteve.mp4 What's worse about that is how much of it is Rockstars fault in the debacle. Grovestreet is a porting studio, and a tiny one at that who got basically thrown a pathetic deadline and thrown under the bus when they couldn't do much with the pittance and lack of resources they were given.

Honestly the worst thing about the DE is they removed the original PC versions from Steam. So you can no longer experience these games as they were or properly fixed up with mods unless you sail the seven seas. Purchasing the DE should've included the originals as well for those interested in legacy versions. Nightdive/bethesda did that for quake 1 and 2.
Which is why i have the Original Vice City and San Andreas just in time it doesn't matter where I've downloaded them from because i was told they were taken down and replaced with this Shitty Fucking Defective Failure and I'll never play that Shit everyone can give 60$ for it but I'll never do that i hate this Failure ever since it came out

They REALLY don’t deserve 14 million sales. The ONLY reason I would want to buy is to get the trilogy on the Switch

not gonna lie if i can time travel i would go to rockstar office and destroy all prototypes of gta definitive edition
Or if it was me i would have invaded Cockstar and not only destroy their Shitty Defective Failure but i would have made a better storyline for each GTA game plus i would have connected The 3D and HD Era together to make more sense

Well only Rockstar Launcher has the original copy of GTA Trilogy which is all console digital storefronts (Nintendo eShop , PlayStation Store and Xbox Store) and STEAM didn't have with the Steam was delisted after or before Definitive Edition's launch
After this remaster people say the trilogy was just 'nostalgia' and never actually good
Whenever somebody says that about the game they ALWAYS played this version I actually asked them lmao
The terrible remaster ruined this amazing trilogy. People say it's just a worse version of GTA 5 now

It really was the year of atrocious remasters/remakes. Sadly the industry learned nothing and we got the Battlefront collection the way it is

To be fair, you can also push cars on the older games, at least on san andreas

The point is that nothing of the games' original code was changed, just visuals. Shteve probably hasn't played them based on those reactions.
@@Ceelker Now that makes sense. While I was watching, I was thinking of it more as an 'old one is better than the new one' kind of mindset.
I also mentioned it because I often use the pushing car trick to turn really fast (speedrun style) while playing San Andreas

I am an actual adult. When I think of Rockstar I think Red Dead Redemption was fine. But Rockstar has devolved into a cash grab money pit. No thanks. Welcome to the death of video games.
I mean their games are still quite good. I do agree they only had green in their eyes when making this but the majority of their games haven’t all been terrible.
Most crashes still happen in san andreas..
For unknown reason android version is the only normal one.

The things that you showed in this video was also in the old GTA trilogy. I get it when the game was released , there were a lot of glitch but almost 80% of them were fixed but people follow the crowd right? That's why everyone says his shit this game is. But this game genuinely look beautiful. The graphics is perfect.
