Played it last night. Took a couple rounds to get in the flow but very much enjoyed it. Didn’t realize it had a difficulty setting, so need to try that out next.
I almost backed it. I think I even did then backed out. I definitely got the impression that it was a bit repetitive/same-y. I think it is a trap that a lot of dungeon crawlers and boss battlers can easily fall into, especially when they don't have a narrative aspect/campaign.
I was in the same boat. Looked great and this crew seemed to have a great time in their playthrough but I got the feeling that outside of the asthetics, it was very repetitive.
Just because they gave feedback doesn't mean the feedback was used. If they said they didn't like things and those things weren't changed, then they certainly aren't going to be positive about the game. If they said they didn't like things and those things were fixed, then obviously they'd be more positive about it. Your comment wasn't thought through.
I'm pretty sure Tom was about to say "Have fun flocking!" at the end 😅

The creators of this game need to learn a little bit about the birds and the bees. Literally. Cuz Wyatt Chirp won't be laying no eggs.

i sorta dont understand Tom scoring, from what he said i felt like he was going to give more
He said something like "clunky" and "not fun".
That one guy gave it an 8 after describing a 5/10 game lol
I think helping edit the game creates an unconscious positive bias
I think Tom’s score is spot on .
Hence why they disclosed that info so you can decide if you want to take their score with a grain of salt or not.
I work in the gaming laptop industry and I definitely don't have a positive bias for many of the games I worked on.
I wouldn't recommend them.
They didn't edit the game at all. They simply played it a few times and gave feedback. It was 90% done at that point, anyway.
