- Maria had an appointment in Cebu City at 1300 so we jumped on a southbound bus around 0600. It turned out to be a 14 hour adventure. Join me, Maria, and Kalamansi for a day trip down to Cebu City. Fatima wasn't interested in sitting on a bus all day and stayed at home with Forrest G.

yeah, stand in line like you do every where in the world. How you fix it is, you show up earlier to get the bus that takes off when you are in that line instead. you're not special. Just do it! (i know what you mean by the old system, it was different but had too many loop holes for missed fares being paid.)

I’ve taken our 4 year old daughter to that arcade, the only crane game I’d recommend says “guaranteed winner” with the eggs (toys inside). My wife managed to throw the skee ball into the neighboring skee ball machine 😂.

The reason for the change in how the bus terminal works is because the more screwed up they make things the cheaper things are. Singapore used to be just like PH. Then someone said "Hey, why don't we make everything work great and pickup all the trash. Oh, and cameras in elevators to arrest people peeing in there." They did it and now Singapore is great...and higher cost.
There are only a few hundred Filipinos who have 90% of the wealth and control. Those coconut trees aren't going to pick themselves. The the last thing the people in charge want is efficiency. Improving infrastructure cost money and more skilled labor. More skill = higher wages. Higher wages = fewer kuyas willing to pick coconuts for $5/day.
You get to pick cheap or good.
And oh yeah, the bus drivers were pocketing the cash. So management had to collect the money in a central office.
It seems that when wife no 2 is not travelling by bus,nobody is sick and need barf bag...😊
Kalamasi looks tired and embarrassed, you know they hate being seen.

Cause all they care about is your a foreigner. And giving you grief is fun and games... this is why I have my own vehicle and hired driver... I travel mostly hassle free throughout the Philippines.
