Great video, Rob. It's a big boat to get a grip of and you are achieving that by degrees, like I am with my own boat. It is a quiet pleasure to be able to go to your boat and just potter. Looking forward to part 3!
Thank you once again for the update Robin, please do not apologise about the frequency and quality of your filming. It is really good of you to share this with us all we are very lucky indeed. So bit by bit you are getting on with the jobs that need doing, one job creating three!!! Nice looking charts, have you started to learn about navigation? Working on Independence must seem like Broad Ambition multiplied by quite a lot! Keep up the excellent work and if you don't post anymore Blogs I would like to wish you both a Merry Christmas and successful 2018. Kind regards, Bob and Ying.
There on your boat as they know your there & a potential food source. Some key places have aluminium key options so there much lighter..maybe they would float..just keep the locks oiled so your not straining the key.
No problem about the crew, wish you all the very best and the boat is looking really good now internally, what does sheila think about it all and are you going to be spending christmas on the boat this year? you will have to give me your call sign so when i bring my canados back i will give you a shout to see if your on the broads. Good luck and all the best for christmas and the new year
I'd advise getting the Mikita power tools as they share one charger & battery type.. This means you only buy the device like a cordless vacuum (I use for budgie area) cost £35... I got a multi tool & cordless drill they have leaf blowers & all sorts of tools but there top quality & your not buying chargers & batteries for each device. Sounds like the soap drawer tubes have dried out because of irregular use & what was in them then comes off the sides of the tubes & blocks it on its first use...I see that a lot....you can buy machines without the lid & get a flush steel top as well..
Rubin for that forward hatch can't you just get the model number off the hatch & get replacement rubber orings so to speak. Maybe the rubber has just tarnished & cracked letting in water.
A door bell on a boat??????? When I had a boat, mates had to gentle tap the side with their foot as their arms were full with beer and other goodies for the trip.

Thanks for this - two others have suggested it is this also. Will be taking the machine apart in January and filming the updates..
