My goal was to spin up a moorit Shetland ram fleece. I got 3/4 of it, which I am very happy with, and I'm blending the rest of it with varying amounts of white Shetland because my partner has requested a striped sweater from it. I currently have about 2100 yards of about sport weight 3-ply of the solid moorit and expect to get about 1600 total of the blends.
I so enjoyed seeing your spinning, Sara. You achieve such even quality across the tools you used, it is impressive. And 10 seconds vs 50 eh? I'm not surprised!
Thanks Robyn! It has taken a lot of practice to get there but I strive for consistency in my yarns and I’m pretty happy with where my yarns are now. Yeah, that gods eye wind on is so pretty but so time consuming! I’m just glad there is an alternative way for both speed and ergonomics!!
I don’t. I have a video of how I do the ball wind on, and one on the first few layers of Gods eye. I also have another on how to build a fat turtle not a tall one. But not one that talks about all of them in a single video.
